《Clockwork powers? Sure! Wait, why am i on a fantasy world?》Chapter 1

He assessed the situation in which he was in, a weird robot God had showed up, he had appeared on a forest and now he had reached a medieval town looking place.
He wasn't sure of that last part however.
As he examined the crop fields surrounding the wall his backpack shook, there was a ¿phone? ringing inside ,it had a copper colored exterior and a impression of a gear on its back.
Mitch-Great just what i needed, more weird shit that makes no sense.
Now that he paid attention, his backpack was full of weird shit that he had never seen but before proding inside anymore he answered the call.
God-took you long enough.
Mitch-its you again? The fuck is going on, can you answer me that?
God- yeah, i was gonna tell you about that but i got a little stuck and had to go back, so i called you here so you could preach my existence into this world.
Mitch-that's it? That's all you have to say?
Mitch calmed himself before yelling as he didnt want those guard finding him before he had a clear idea on what to do.
God-and your world is dead!
He looked at his phone even more confused than what he had been before.
Mitch-say that again?
God- your world is gone, done, finished, doesn't exist anymore poofed out and your sorry ass and a backpack full of things was all i could get out of scrapping it.
Mitch-im confused.
God- you're not the first guy i do this to, so listen, your world was about to end anyway, the constant pollution was gonna cook half the planet,a disease was gonna kill the rest, and the few fuckers that survived were doomed to die of an asteroid in like 20 years that was 73 kilometers in diameter, your world was already fucked and i waited to the closest i could get to the very last moment to pull you outta there, so do me a favor and thank me, also do your new job.
Mitch- oh god!
God-yes?
Mitch-Not you!
God-well i put a book in there explaining everything that happened and what you have to do now so call me if you need something else, peace!
He hung up leaving mitch clueless again, snapping out of it he searched the backpack not looking for the book but instead taking notes of everything he had in it.
He found a thermic metal bottle with water inside, a pair of extremely well fitting gloves made of double layered leather with the outside layer cut out in the finger joints for more flexibility, a book which he assumed was the one that god had told him about and a gun, this gun however looked out of place, it looked like a revolver yet at closer inspection the cylinder didn't open to reload nor did it rotate and the barrel was pulled down to its center.

As he stored it all back onto the backpack he noticed he had forgotten to search the smaller front pocket.
He opened it up slowly pulling the fabric back, there was a leather box inside that was kept closed with a magnet, he opened it pulling out a small card that read:
“Sup boy i got you a few things in here so you can start your adventure, water bottle, gloves, knife, instruction manual, phone and some money,i hope you enjoy.
P.s. don't throw this box out,its used for sending you things as you go.
P.p.s i sent you some underwear if you ever happen to shit yourself during your trip”
He cursed that God internally and searched the rest of the pocket finding a survival knife and a small bag with coins he had never seen, some were made of copper others tin and a single smaller gold coin.
Mitch-well, better than nothing. I just hope i get some answers this time!
He flipped the book open.
“I have brought you to this world so that you spread my existence through the world, however this isn't the world you're used to, more like the worlds of stories, we use this world to clean up the residual negative energies that gods create and the people of these kinda worlds gain power through destroying the manifestation of those energies, you now operate with a similar system. Good luck.”
Mitch tried flipping to the next page only to realise this wasn't the beginning of the book and that in fact that was all that was written as every other page was empty.
Mitch-AW,COME ON!!!
The guards by the gate turned towards the source of the scream, mitch just gave up and headed towards the gate.
As he got closer he noticed that almost every guard there was slightly shorter than him who was 1,80 meters which made sense as in medieval times people were much shorter
Mitch-hello i would like to go into the city.
Guards- um, ok, you'll just have to go through a quick inspection.
They made him several generic and quick questions, what was his name, age,was he carrying any weapons.
Mitch-does this count?
He pulled out the knife showing them its blade.
Guards- not really, lastly, what's your occupation!
Mitch hesitated on this last one, what was he gonna tell them.
Mitch- do i really need to tell you?
Guards-fair point.
Mitch smiled at the guard’s statement.
Guards-scribe, what's his level and occupation!
Scribe-i'll check! Not sure. it’s called arch-engineer his level 1 it's both passive and active.
Guards-alright i guess you can pass, cause no trouble!
Mitch headed into the city and checked a map that was posted right by the entrance. There were several districts to this city, there was a food district, a shops district, 2 housing districts dividing the wealthier and a religious district which housed the church, orphanage and the school that is until the name adventurer guild appeared on the corner of that district at which point mitch knew what he was gonna do.

Mitch wanted to go to the shops district as he wanted to check how much money he had exactly, but came up with another idea, he walked towards the church has they might be more trustworthy than some merchant trying to scam a fool.
Once he stepped through the inner wall he saw it.
A blue granite chapel 8 meters tall with 7 symbols carved in a circle over the double wooden door that were 2,5 meters tall giving it an even bigger sensation of grandioseness to it all.
He pressed the door with his hands, it was closed however, leaving him looking around for either the priest or anyone that belonged to this church.
He walked around looking any other church building which he found out was part of the orphanage has he moved closer to its gates he saw a few nuns supervising the kids, calling out one of them he tried asking her for how much each coin was worth.
She had straight beautiful brown hair which cascaded of the sides of her face making you focus on her bright green eyes and rosy lips.
Mitch-excuse me, i would like to ask you something, could you tell me how much this is worth?
He pulled out one of the tin coins he had inside the pouch.
Nun-of course, that's worth 50 royals.
Mitch slowly pulled other types of coins and asked their value until he had examined every coin except the gold one.
Mitch-what's the average salary of someone in this town.
Nun- i'm not too sure of that one my child, but around 550 and 800 royals.
Mitch-one last thing, how much is this one worth.
He finally pulled out the golden coin from his pouch and noticed the immediate state of the nun as she gazed upon it.
Nuns-that one is quite the sum, it's a small gold coin worth a 1000 royals the only one bigger than that is the large gold coin worth 2500.
He wanted to ask more questions but he had already exposed himself to much, he gave her a large copper coin worth 15 royals and ran out of there as fast as he could.
In total he had 2350 “royals” with him so he finally headed towards the shops.
Mitch-well let's see what i can buy with this money.
After visiting most of that district he only found 3 places that really seemed to interest him within it, there was a clothes store that sold protective gear and right across it a blacksmith that although focusing more in making nails and hinges also sold some weapons and lastly was a goldsmith by the gate of the wealthy housing district that not only sold rings and necklaces but also made enchantments and worked with soulstones and mana cores which although mitch didn't exactly know what they made he already had a feeling that he would need them later on.
He visited the clothes shop first, its store front only had two windows that showed very little of what was inside yet it still had an immense charm and class to it, as he stepped inside he could hear the footsteps from his running shoes on the stone floor of the shop and soon enough the owner appeared from the back of the shop.
His grey hair bounced as he walked towards mitch, he twirled his moustache on last time before speaking with him.
Merchant-So what are you looking for son?
Mitch-do you make armor here?
The merchant set his hands by the counter and looked at him seriously.
Merchant- yes, leather tunics and gambits if you want jack chains you've gotta talk with the blacksmith across the street.
Mitch- can you do both?
Merchant-what?
Mitch-can you make me some leather armor with padding?
Merchant-yes but its gonna cost quite a bit.
Mitch-that's ok.
They spent almost an hour designing his suit but ended up with deciding on a leather padded vest and a pair of trousers which had also been padded but more lightly as to not restrict motion.
Merchant-Something like this will cost you almost 450 royals, and you have to deposit 200 right now, is that fine with you?
Mitch-its ok i have the money to pay right now even. Could you do me one last favor? Tell me of a good place to spend the night.
Merchant-just use the guilds accomodations its cheap as long as you don't destroy anything in there.
As so he headed towards the guild, even though the day had barely started for some people here, mitch was already done.
He walked into the guild and asked for any available rooms.
Receptionist-we have a few, the price is 10 royals but you have to deposit a damage fee of 150 royals which you may pick back up once you leave if you've not caused any property damage.
Mitch just threw the money for 3 days onto the counter and waited for her to hand him the key.
Receptionist-here you go! And this is the key to your safe, if you don't pick up your things after 5 days of your departure we will assume you dead and confiscate anything inside for ourselves.
Mitch yeah, yeah! I got it!
He went upstairs and opened his room, it was small with a single person bed inside and a small safe by the corner, he threw his things on the floor and layed on top of the bed hoping that by tomorrow he would have a clearer head.
Mitch- i fucking hope he gives me some goddamn answers tomorrow cuz i'm getting real tired of this shit!
