Chapter 0028
It seems all Tempest has been doing is sighing over her misfortune or lamenting over her bad luck. First Aria, now Tilda.
The other mercenaries knew they will be roped into Tilda’s one sided conversation should they come close to the duo so they made sure to steer clear.
None of the other mercenaries came within 10 meters of the duo due to Tilda’s obnoxious behavior.
Tempest silently swore she’d teach Tilda and Wiminia a lesson when opportunity arises.
Finally, Wiminia came over and dragged her friend away before her luck runs out and she bothered someone they shouldn’t.
“Wiminia, what are you doing?” Tilda protest wholeheartedly. Tilda never understood her friend’s intent. Whenever she chats with people, Wiminia always comes up and drags her away to a secluded corner and tell her to reflect on her actions. She did. Once she sat in the same spot for 12 hours reflecting on her mistake but came up with nothing. Tilda can only conclude Wiminia was jealous of her.
Wiminia was definitely jealous. Passerby always showers her with endless compliments. They comment on her beautiful hair, how it can outshine gold, how her blue eyes can capture their souls with just a look, how her lips become irresistible when she speaks, how engaging and outgoing she was compared to her drab friend.
“Reflect on your actions.” Again those same orders. Reflect on your actions. Reflect on your actions. Why can’t she just say what was bothering her?
Tempest knew it wasn’t the right time to mess with the annoying pair. She told herself over and over not to do anything detrimental to the group. She needs their help. She can’t take on the Sundered Lion by herself.
Except.
Opportunity comes a knocking. If she doesn’t take it, she won't be Tempest Arashi Kataigida. Well, okay, she just gave herself the name, but the point is still there.

“No!” Hello ventriloquism, courtesy of Ventus and the slutty psychologist. The woman deserved to be fired for trying to flirt with her patient. Don’t mix business with pleasure and all that. There is a reason it is an idiom.
What happened behind closed doors during a psychiatric session may be private, but it isn’t completely private.
Slutty woman!
Disgraceful woman!
Two face witch!
Men can be raped as well. It isn’t as common as women being raped, but it does happen. Rape is rape regardless of the gender of the victim.
“What do you mean no?” Wiminia turned to stare at her childhood friend in surprise. After the thousandth time repeating the scene in one form or another, Wiminia was surprise Tilda was willing to deviate from the routine. Hope welled in the tired heart of the black haired girl. Did her friend finally realize her behavior induced homicidal tendencies in the listener?
“I don’t have to listen to you anymore. All you tell me is to reflect on my actions. All my thinking points to one conclusion - You. Are. Jealous!” Once Tilda heard the words she immediately covers her mouth. Her mouth moved, but those were not the words she was going to say.
If anyone was paying attention then they realized the words they heard did not match the movement of Tilda’s lips. Sadly, no one was paying attention to the girl.
“What did you say?” Accompanying the sentence was a glare Tilda was quite familiar with, the glared that make babies cry and bring to harden criminals to their knees. Immediately knockings could be heard as Tilda’s knees shook. Tears shone in Tilda’s black eyes, giving her a pitiable look while her hand clamped tightly over her mouth.
Wilminia hatefully glared at her childhood friend. Hope is a powerful yet fragile emotion. It can move mountains and change the course of rivers. It allows the weak and the downtrodden to continue living, for the broken to heal, and the soldiers to continue the war. In Wilminia’s case, she had hope her childhood friend would wise up. Gain a little maturity. Cause less problems for Wilminia to clean up after. Sadly, her hopes were dashed yet again.

“It seems you have the guts to bad mouth people behind their backs but not the courage to own up to your words in a confrontation.” Wilminia sneered. She had hope her words will knock some sense into Tilda. Again, that one word.
Is this what parents feel like when they send their children off to school? They work so hard so their children can have a better life, free of worries. Come report card day, all they see are F and F-.
The higher the bar, the more effort given into grooming the child, the greater the disappointment.
26 years they’ve been friends. Tilda has her faults, and the greatest among them is the blabbermouth that won’t shut up.
Wilminia worried there might not be a 27th year.
“I didn’t say those words. Honest.” Tilda began to defend herself once she was sure there wasn’t going to be another misunderstanding. Bright sincere black eyes stared into Wilmina brown ones, trying to convey her innocence and sincerity to her friend.
“Oh? Were the words said a few moments ago a figment of my imagination?” Wilminia wasn’t buying it. During their long friendship, Wilminia see the glares of resentment, and pain Tilda sends her way when she thinks Wilminia isn’t looking. Wilminia has always brushed it off as petty childish behavior.
“Wilminia, you have to believe me. I didn’t say those words.” Tilda implored her friend.
“Do you seriously believe I am jealous of your looks?”
“Of course not.”
“Then why did you say it?”
“Wii, I did say something, but the words you heard aren’t the words I spoke. I swear.”
“Then what happened back there? Someone put words into your mouth?”
Tempest, the culprit, was enjoying the smack down she created between the annoying duo to pay attention to her surroundings.
One could say she is too confident in her abilities she didn’t care about her surroundings.
That is, until Ventus warned her with the following sentences, Incoming, about 200 level 2 magical beasts incoming.
