《Magical Girl Gang Wars(Reboot)》Chapter 18 - First Day of Gang School

What did I even expect this to be? A normal school? How naive I was.
Alex thought, as soon as she walked into her classroom, with Fei in tow. Inside, there were a dozen or so corpses, lined up on desks. Next to them were surgical tools. At the head of the classroom was a Magical Girl teacher that was a piece of work by Alex’s standards.
Her whole body was a patchwork mess of skin of different colors all connected with stitching and scars. Hair was a lifeless gray like that of a zombie, her eyes were a piercing silver, looking at the blanks entering the classroom. She wore a black tank top and white shorts, exposing her grotesque skin with pride on her face.
Although she had pride in her eyes, she didn’t say a word, and stared at the group until they all funneled in. When they all made their way inside, she snapped her fingers, closing the doors, before smiling slightly and causing the blanks' spines to shiver.
“Pick a partner and body.”
“Alex, let's team up!”
“Cutting up a body on the first day, as expected of magical girls. How twisted of an introduction.”
She didn’t say what she thought though, since she didn’t want to get beaten. She needed to drag herself to do her best and not get wounded, in order to train more tomorrow. Agreeing with Fei, the pair picked a naked male body whose skin was a pale white. Alex couldn’t help but grab his arm.
Having never touched a dead person, she could feel his ice-cold skin and stiff muscles. When she touched him, the corpse's eyes opened wide, and its muscles twitched in fear.
The body was alive.
In shock, Alex let go of the arm and fell backward. Thankfully, Fei caught her before she fell on another body behind her. This time, Alex couldn’t hold it in and yelled at the teacher with hate in her eyes.
“Don’t fuck with me! You expect us to cut up a live being!?”
Magical Girl Patch smiled widened, stretching the stitches on her face. She looked like a demonic being as sickening smiles danced in her eyes.
“Ten minutes, locate the seven drugs in the body. Fail and be demoted to E rank.”
Despite lashing out, she was ignored ruthlessly. Alex’s body trembled in anger, thinking about her ritual, and the shit she went through to get here. And now she had to cut up a live body? She wanted to yell, scream, anything to let out her anger that she held inside herself.
“Yes, let the anger consume you… Let me in Alex, let m—”
“SHUT THE FUCK UP, YOU HARPY BITCH!”
Alex roared in her mind as she got her breathing under control. She could hear the cutting nearby and the sound of blood splashing.
“What? The little virgin thinks she's ho—”
But Alex at this point was ignoring Xel, pushing the anger and hate down. Later, she’d unleash it all. Later, she would do something about it. For now, she had to get in control of her mind and kill her emotions just for a little bit. Flipping her switch, Alex shut off her heart like in high school, and looked at the body before as just a slab of meat.

The other girls were already exploring their victim's body without remorse. Even Fei had let go of her body and was getting ready to cut up the body. If she didn’t want to end up in E Rank, then she had to cut into this body.
The numbers swarming in her eyes, she motioned them to find where all the drugs lay inside the man's body. As they calculated, Alex pushed Fei to the side, picking up a knife on the other hand, waiting for the calculations to finish.
Fei felt a little annoyed, “What are you doing? You think just because you can’t cut the body I can’t? Well, let me tell you, little princess, the world doesn’t wor—”
Alex’s eyes turned to her, full of coldness and without remorse. It threw Fei for a loop; one moment Alex yelled at the teacher questioning her methods, and the next all the anger on her face was gone.
All that was left was the coldness close to that of their teacher that made her shiver in fear. Only, it was a different type of cold. The teachers were the type that plays with her food, but for Alex, it was she wasn’t even looking at you.
“Silence. I will do this.” was what Alex said, before turning to the body with her knife.
By now, the numbers inside her head had given her the seven best places where the drugs could be and three back up choices. Alex moved her hand as the numbers told her, following the lines with precision, she didn’t dare look at the man’s eyes for fear he would throw away her conviction. The first drug was located near his foot that had a little bulge. Cutting in, blood started to flow. The man seeing his foot being cut started to move in the restraints.
“Fei, hold him down. I can’t get a clean cut if he moves.”
Her voice was the same, cold. Even staring at the blood, her eyes were as cold as stone,as she widened the incision and pulled out the package of drugs. She moved to the next area near the left thigh, the male's private parts hanging out; she used her numbers to turn uncaring.
Cutting another line, she pulled out a package of drugs a foot long, running down his leg. At this point, Fei was holding down the distressed man as Alex got to work. Within less than a minute she had removed the two drugs. Although she wasted thirty seconds in her freak out, she had caught up to the head of the pack.
“Help me move him on his back now.”
The man tried to resist the move, but Alex grabbed him by the face and stared him straight in the eyes, bloodshot.
“I’ll stitch you up afterwards, so stop moving unless you want to die like the rest of them.”
Turning the man's head to the left, his eyes became wide, seeing his fellow men be split into multiple parts. Turning just a bit more to the side, what was left of a man had most of his skin ripped off. Just from seeing that, he almost fainted.

He was so stricken with fear that he obeyed Alex’s orders to the letter. Allowing the two girls to turn him over and they got him strapped in ready to go.
Moving next to under the kidney, Alex cut again, until just above the intestines, causing more blood to flow out as she pulled the drugs out. Throwing it out onto the counter, Alex spoke to Fei again.
She moved her arm steadily, and cut into the man’s ass and removed a disk-shape fist sized drug package.
Then, onto the one next to his spine. She moved with enough care that it made Fei gasp at how well she was moving. Five down, two to go. By now, Alex’s head felt hot, and breathing was a little unsteady, as the numbers rushed through her head while she kept trying to go for the best cut she could do.
Breathing heavily ,Alex turned to Fei.
“Turn him over once again, these are the last cuts.”
Fai obeyed Alex wordlessly, watching magic take place disregarding the slaughter around them.
Moving to the base of his right arm, Alex had a pretty tough cut to do, as it passed right by the man's artery. If she cut it, he’d bleed out in minutes. Eyes strained, Alex focused her might as the brain-numbing pain kept building up. She knew nothing about surgery, she was putting all her faith in the numbers.
Cutting down the arm vertically instead of sideways, Alex carefully removed the drugs over the man's artery.
Moving her knife close to the neck of the man, Alex could feel the man’s breath on her cheek. It was raised above normal. Putting her hand on his chest, she could feel his heart pounding like a hummingbird.
She could see his features, black hair, blue eyes, white teeth. This man was a pretty boy, no more than twenty years old. Heck, he might even be a high schooler as he had a hint of a childish look left.
“Do you trust me? Nod with your eyes up and down for yes.”
She waited for the man to answer, watching the fear and stress in his eyes. The numbers studied his breath, his blood flow, his muscle contraction; the only thing they couldn’t do was read his mind.
The man stared into Alex’s bloodshot eyes holding the knife to his neck. Her arm was as steady as a rock. He couldn’t speak since his tongue was cut, and even if he could, it wasn't half easy with all the drugs that numb him to the pain. The effect of the drugs also made his body as cold as ice, making him almost like a corpse, but this girl treated him like a human being.
Fear fading away from his face, resolve took forth. He nodded with his eyes and readied himself. Getting the greenlight and ready to go Alex, focused again anew, driving her brain into overdrive. Blood started dripping from her nose as the numbers flew by her.
“Wipe my nose.”
“Y—Yes, right away!”
Fei wiped the blood from Alex’s nose and sweat from her forehead, for good measure, before moving out of the way, giving Alex space. Her brain pounding, sweat coming off her body, Alex’s cut sliced through the man's neck.
Steady, slow, efficient, she drove herself to her limits and pulled the drugs out of his neck. She threw it on the plate of metal and yelled.
“Finished!”
Despite all the setbacks she put herself through, Alex and Fei finished second. Still, she didn’t allow herself to fail. She got the alcohol, needle, and thread, and began sewing up the parts. This part was much easier, and she finished within a minute before time was done.
Magical Girl Patch watched silently at the progress of the rest of the magical girls and, as expected, all the patients were killed. With the exception of Alex's, who was still alive, the rest were torn to shreds. There was even a pair that hadn't found their last drug and failed.
They were dragged away by some magical golems somewhere, screaming and kicking. Patch just smiled as they left the building, dragged out. When they were long gone, she turned to the girls in front of her now.
“That will be all for today's introductions. It'll be over for today, now go on and spend the rest of the day enjoying free time. Tomorrow you’ll have magic training. Don’t be late.”
Patches moved to leave the room, but Alex spoke up.
“What about him! He needs better treatment!”
Patch was still smiling and looking over Alex. She stared for a long time, appraising the girl before her. Alex felt dirty with Patch looking all over her body like some sick pervert.
“The drugs are your reward for passing. As for that mute, he can be considered a bonus. Congratulations on gaining a meatbag at D-rank, Blank. There will be no more questions!”
WIth that, Patch left the blanks to their own devices, leaving through the door. This left Alex aghast, wondering what is wrong with that woman. She just looked at the mute before her with a massive headache... Since she had saved him, it was her mess, wasn't it?
Alex sighed, “Hey, Fei, help me carry this man back to our room, I’ll split the drugs with you 70/30 70 percent for me and thirty percent for you.”
“Hey, why do I only get thirty percent? You get a meat bag! Even if you did all the work, I had to hold him down! It should be more like 60/40!”
Rubbing her aching head, Alex just brushed her off, “Whatever... Let’s just go home already.”
