I asked the elder “Elder, how do we earn our living?”
Elder: “Child, we grow a certain type of plants that is unique through out the whole continent. We sell those plants & their byproducts to the quadrant merchant office, thus obtaining our living.
Understood...my child?”
Me: “Plants?? What are they? Elder?”
Elder: “You want to know...child? Then tomorrow i will take you to our fields & explain to you everything...OK, child?”
Me: “OK...Elder.”
Elder: “ So, child tell me...where were you yesterday, after class finished?”
Me (putting my innocent face): “Just roaming around the city...getting to know the place, nothing else.”
Elder(having a slight look of suspicion on his face): “Is that right! HA HA HA...I thought you were going to places where you shouldn't...silly me...you truly are a good child.”patted on my head.
Elder “OK now, off you go child, I have work to do. Stay out of trouble.”
Me(still putting on an innocent face): “OK, Elder...see you again.”
I left Elder’s house, went straight to the swamp avoiding everyone’s eyes. I kept the stick which i had found yesterday. I’ve also brought some vines with me. I have to fashion some kind of weapon first before entering the swamp. I searched the outskirts thoroughly until I found similar kinds of sticks and some small stones. I cut fine strands from the vine which i had brought with me. These fine threads are strong in nature although it looks weak. We cut these vines from a tree named Hrom. We use these trees just for there vines. I put two sticks together horizontally & two plain sticks vertically together and bound them together with many strands until a sturdy makeshift somewhat sword is made. Yes, it is lacking a pure sharp edge but at least i have a chance to injure a opponent how small maybe with the double pointed sword. I put the stones i collected in my pouch & i was now ready for my exploration of the big bad swamp.

I followed the trail I had made yesterday, the marks were still there. Today i decided to explore the swamp through a vertical line. So i went east side of the swamp, marking my way on the trees. I was simultaneously trying to make a mental map of my explored places. It was hard, very hard to remember the places , as everything looked same. For 10-15 mins I walked, carefully, minding my surroundings...don't want to come face to face with that mysterious monster or any monster. Suddenly i heard loud screaming of some animals coming some what ahead of me. I carefully went there trying to make myself as invisible as possible ( i was about 4 ft tall & the thick bushes where taller than me, it was easy to hide myself...to an extent). I found the place from where the sounds where coming from. I saw something peculiar to say the least.
I saw the mysterious monster again. But this time the situation was a bit odd. I saw the monster was top of an another monster of the same type except the other monster does not have horns. It was moving quiet ferociously might I add, on a rhythm upon the hornless monster. This went for quiet a while, the noises were getting louder by the minute. Some leaves fell from above on me, I looked up & found that some animals mostly Joiur type of animals were running away from the place. They where a kind of good natured monsters, never hurting anybody, minding there own business. But it looked like they were scared of something & where hurriedly running away jumping from branch to branch. Trampling some of there own kind in the process. Seeing this i hid myself ,not wanting to come between any of those monsters around me. One mid sized Joiur fell in front of me. It was practically dead. I think it was trampled & fell down. So out of pure sympathy for it I quickly ended its pain by stabbing it in its chest...huh...it seems when ever I’m near these monsters i find my self new preys...for free. They are lucky for me. I quickly cut some piece of the fallen Joiur wrapped it inside some leaves & put it in my bag.

Another Joiur fell, it looked like it was in pain, so, again i relieved another ones pain. And another one fell...it was quiet funny if I may add. But this time the Joiur was pretty much alive, just dazed a little from falling on the ground. After regaining its composer it looked around & saw me in the bushes & its fallen brethren dead beside him. We looked at each other for quiet a bit, it looked like it was going to call his buddies to notify them of the situation down here. I didn't think twice & straight jumped over its chest & stabbing it multiple times until it was lifeless. Never did I think I would do such a thing...it was awesome...huh...calling us weak. I will show those high handed beast clans who is weak...after thinking a way to tame my lucky monster.
I quickly hid myself inside the bushes & watched those monsters move while howling. After some time they stopped , they were looking tired...must be after moving so vigorously...But what were they doing??? That was the biggest question i had...Then came a second surprise. The hornless monster out of no where plunged its tail inside my lucky monster, through and through. It was the shock of my life...my lucky monster fell on the ground. The hornless monster then tore a leg of my lucky monster and went off inside the swamp.I still couldn't believe it. I quietly & calmly went close to the lifeless monster...it was black in colour with gray boderings. It was quiet big, it was double the size of me. And there I received my third and final surprise...and if you have guessed it...you are right. I was still ALIVE!!!just barely though, as it had a big hole on its chest and a leg missing. I did what i hat to do. Though it took over 10 stab wounds to finish its pain.I cut some piece of it and packed it inside my bag. I am serious when I tell you there were tears that came out from my eyes...As i the reality downed on me...that day I think I truly lost my luck.
I packed up & went back, cutting short on my exploration. When I reached my home, I got some early dinner and felt quiet energized. As my lucky monster tasted very good...maybe that’s why the hornless death dealer killed it and took its leg. I can only speculate though.
