Chapter 11- Caught?
“Honey! Hurry up and open the door.” A woman in her thirty’s called out to her husband. Her dark blonde hair, tied in a bun as she stood there waiting outside the door, holding bags of groceries.
“Coming!” answered the black haired man. He had just parked the car in their garage, when he heard the voice of his kind and loving wife. The couple hasn't been home in a while, away from a long business trip.
They had left there eighteen year old daughter with a massive sum of money to cover for her daily necessities.
“I hope Lara’s doing alright.” said the dark blonde. Putting down the bags filled with food. They hadn’t brought their luggage back with them and left them in the car, because they would have to go away again in a few days. Their jobs didn’t allow them to stay in one place for too long.
“Don’t worry, she’ll be fine.” Reassured the husband, kissing his wife on the cheek.
Opening the door, they both let themselves in.
“Richard, it's ten o’clock in the morning, would you mind, waking Lara up?” ask the woman, as she headed straight to the kitchen.
Richard nodded at his wife Linda and head up the stairs, towards Lara’s room.
He rapped his knuckle lightly on the door. “Lara!” he called out.
Hearing no response, he decided to push the door open.
‘Strange’ he thought, Lara’s door is usually locked.
Richard’s eyes widen in shocked as he notices his daughter entangled with a half-naked teen. His daughter’s appearance was messy and dishevelled.
He couldn’t quite make out the boy’s appearance as it was covered with his long messy hair. Richard pinched the bridge of his nose.
‘Oh, boy!’ he thought.
He pulled the chair that was sitting on the corner of the room. Placed it at the foot of the bed and went downstairs to get his wife.

“Linda, you might want to come upstairs.” He grinned.
Linda, in the middle of putting away the shopping in their respective places, gave him a questioning look. “What? Has Lara brought a boy over?” she scoffed.
Richard’s grin grew wider.
Linda’s eyes grew wide and she covered her mouth in shock. “She didn’t. Did she?”
“Well. Pull up a chair and let’s wait for the two love birds to wake up.” He grinned mischievously.
“What am I going to do with you two?” She shook her head and sighed, but grabbed a nearby chair and headed to Lara’s room with her husband.

“Hmm~” Lara groaned as she began to stir. She arched her back as she yawned. She was confused for a second, why she could feel another body, attached to her. Then she remembered that Luce slept over in her room last night, that caused her to beam brightly.
‘His hair is covering his adorable face again. We can’t have that, can we?’ Thought Lara, as she brushed the jet black hair away from his face.
Watching him sleep, Lara stroke his face lovingly. Her dainty fingers, painting aimlessly at his face, tracing the contour of his luscious lips.
He whined against her finger, his breath tickling her soft skin. She giggled and buried his face in the nook of his neck, breathing him in.
“Aww. They are so cute together.” Exclaimed a manly voice that was so all familiar to Lara.
Lara froze in shock. Her heart palpitating rapidly. ‘Oh, shit!’ she cursed under her breathe.
Sitting up, Lara attempted to fix her dishevelled appearance, as she greet her parents.
“Mom. Dad. You’re back.” She said stiffly. Smiling wryly at them.

Wild Steam
Get on a train. Head east. Get on a ship. Travel further east, in style. See some wonders of the world. Find what was lost. Find where home is. How hard is any of that?Well, for Jake Ranger, pretty damned hard. The world being a wild, crazy mess from a global altering event called the Shattering doesn’t help much. Nor does being a famous folk hero. That last one really sucks, because people always run up to famous heroes and beg them for help with all their problems. Then there are the actual outlaws and monsters. They don’t help much either. Mostly they just get in the way and make everything way worse. And in a world that is so screwed up decades after the Shattering, there is a lot of variety to both outlaw and monster. Then there are the more civilized, (read: sane), non-human folk, and good old humans as well. They all get along just spectacularly. Totally best friends, on every level, for life. Of course getting to the east coast is only half the battle. Once there, he must contend with the so-called “civilized people.” Then there’s the ship ride; pirates and sea monsters are a thing too, after all. Should have read the brochure. But when the chips are down, the bad guys are winning and the wild winds of chaos are blowing, it helps to have a fighter on your side. Even if he is a little wild. After all, that’s not really a problem. That’s what beautiful women and lots of gold is for. Proper motivation is always key to success. Welcome to a Steampunk, Wild West, Victorian era, Lovecraftian infested, fantasy, shoot ‘em up world. Complete with a slow build harem of badass beautiful women, crazy adventures, and fun, monstrous villains. Welcome to the world of Wild Steam. Do enjoy your stay.
