《The Hero Assassin》Author's Note - Q & A Session

**DON'T READ THE FOLLOWING IF YOU HAVEN'T READ THE PROLOGUE TO CHAPTER 8**
**CONTAINS SPOILERS FROM THOSE CHAPTERS**
Hey! Thanks for the follows and favorites so far into the journey!
Since I just finished up the first arc, I thought I'd do a little Q&A session of some things I feel I could explain a bit more + some from people in the comments in general.
Also note you can ask plenty more questions anytime in the comments section and I'l try to answer it.
Alright, so here they are:
Q. What Is Your Release Schedule?
A. As of now, it's actually about a chapter a day. Since I have plenty of free time on my hands, I think I'll be able to sustain this for a while. Nevertheless, the plan is to at the very least keep the consistency to 3-4 chapters a week if classes I'm taking start to get heavy.
Q. What happened to Lucia?
A. Who? What's a Lucia?
Just kidding. Yep. She's the one from chapter 2 who Valurn ran into trying to look for Levion. Well, in all fairness it's mainly my fault for putting that character on the backburner. I probably should've incorporated a few more gags with her in the earlier chapters but never really thought of a good spot to introduce her.
I'll probably do a side story to make up for that. Maybe a separate book with a bunch of side stories just on the village life tbh.
I'll think on that.
Q. If Valurn and Levion are good friends, why did Valurn not know where Levion lived?
A. Well, remember that Levion had this weird habit of moving constantly and randomly. Very few people can keep up with it. That includes Valurn, who already has enough on his plate trying to guard the village and train Alicia and Darian.

As for the training, the reason that Valurn visited Darian's place in chapter 5 is because of the fact he learned [Presence Detection]. Normally, after their daily training in the forest, he'd just go straight to guard-work and/or his house.
Q. Will you ever explain in detail some of these skills?
A. I plan on explaining all the important skills. For example, the skills that were revealed at the end of chapter 8 will of course be explained.
As far as why the "game system" hasn't been explained much yet, that's pretty much because Darian was pretty much like any normal person. He didn't have [Appraisal] so he had very limited access to acknowledgement of skills and such. But down the road, I hope to implement more of this game-system and menus and such to a better understanding.
If you got any suggestions for this please let me know as well. I'm by no means close to an expert considering my experience with this genre is reading a bunch of web novels and the such.
Q. How Dark Will The Story Get?
A. Very much. I got a couple of nice scenes of torture and gore already planned out down the line alongside other very savory stuff. I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
">
Q. What are the requirements for [Hero Assassin]?
Spoiler: Spoiler
A. Well, there are a variety of factors. One of them happens to deal with his race.
Oh wait...you thought he was human? I said he was human?
Well yes, he looks human. I'll give you that. He even thinks he's human and assumes his mother was a human as well. That's the only logical explanation why he was born a human instead of a Demon, albeit abnormal.
Well, one of them has to do with his unusual race being a "glitch" in the system. And that race won't be revealed until wayy later.

The other has to do with having a purpose in life. His vow that he made also contributed to that alongside killing that Hero. Normally, nothing would really happen just because of a vow or act, but because his unique race is involved...
Don't worry. This will all be explained down the line.
Q. Are There Any Other Hero Assassins?
A. Nope (for now). So far, it's a unique skill for Darian only and something that came up from his desire to kill every Hero out there. Maybe down the road there will be more, but that will be a product from what Darian does in the future.
Q. Does Darian Retain Any of the Hero's Powers when he kills them?
A. Nope. That'd just break the whole system lol. I want to make Darian fairly strong, but not because he literally is an impossibly cheat-like existance. While I do love the OP MC genre, I do want this MC here to struggle and go through challenges. Heros by themselves are already cheat like existances who can lay over towns and armies by themselves, so layering two or more of those powers together is straight up insane.
Q. Why Doesn't the Kingdom Send Forth A Whole Army of Heroes To Eliminate The Demon Kingdom Instead Of Scattering Them About?
Slight Spoiler warning. I plan on explaining this down the line, so don't click the spoiler if you don't want to get slightly spoiled.
Spoiler: Spoiler
A. So basically, the fact of the matter is that the Heroes powers do have a slight weakness. Within a 1000 meter radius, their powers significantly weaken when they're close to one another. This will be explained in detail even more down the line, but since it isn't that major of a spoiler (imo) I decided to go ahead and give you an idea now.
Q. Will you finish this novel?
A. That's the plan. Hopefully I'll be able to make an intriguing story that gets fairly good reviews and reception from you guys. I don't like stopping in the middle of something and leaving you guys hanging, so don't worry about me suddenly putting this on hiatus.
Thanks for reading so far! Go ahead and ask some more questions in the comments below if you got some.

The story is set in the Queendom of Falena, the universe of the JRPG game Suikoden V. The main character is the Prince of Falena, Freyjadour, who is an unimportant figurehead not in line to the throne. During one of his royal inspections, he meets Natsu, Happy, Gray, and Erza who are a part of an alternate universe (Fairy Tail) and helps them find a way back to their home. Little do they know that it's not only them who came to this world… [This is basically a novelization of the game but with different twists due to the multiple crossovers. Therefore, there is no need to know any of the fandoms involved in this story. This will read like an actual novel itself. The universe and the characters are not owned by me.]
