As I saw the new stats shown in my status, I couldn't help but feel depressed. It's not the greatest thing to see the system say you're slowly going mad and that you're being corrupted. Haaa.

Oh well the last item I got was a key, so let's go see if it works on the system locked door.

I walked through the halls once more, once I got to the Locked door I saw a keyhole. I inserted the newly gained key and turned.

*Ker-chunk*

The door unlocked.I push and enter into the new room which I hoped gave me something good. Once I entered and looked around I noticed in the room was a desk with a map laid out, a chair behind the desk, and a large chest in the middle of the room. I decided to look at the map first. As I picked it up I got a system notification.

After I looked at that message, I called out "Map". In front of my vision was the map I had just gained and black squares all around it. In the unlocked square there was an X with a dotted line leading to a blue dot.

In one of the black squares touching the map there was the blue dot, which I assumed was me.

I then turn to the chest. The chest was sparkling like a diamond and looked like a master chest from Skyrim.

As I opened the chest I got two notifications.

'Ways to Counteract Demonic Influence'

Demonic Influence causes many problems such as Corruption and Madness. Many great men have fallen due to madness until people found ways to counteract demonic influence. One way is to stay in the presence of a holy being. Another is to meditate to suppress the influence. One unique way was to convert the Influence into Divine Sense. Another was to seal it inside of an item.

There are many ways people have done it, and many more to discover.

Well that helps in the future but for now I have no way to use any of these methods. Haaa.

I'll just head to that X on the map.

As I left I saw a flare light up in the sky that just so happened to be in the direction I was going. To pass the time I might as well 'help' right? I had a smirk on my face as I thought that.

I ran towards the flare, which was about a kilometer and a half ahead. If I was still plain ol' me it would have taken probably half an hour to get there on foot, but now with 76 agility I can cover that distance in less than 5 minutes.

As I got nearer and nearer, a thicker scent of blood and screams reached me, causing my blood to boil in excitement. As I arrived I was greeted with the sight of 7 people trying to fight off a pack of wolves while defending a man behind them. I used inspect on the wolves.

A rare class huh. She could be useful. I guess once they finish off the wolves, I'll kill the rest and corrupt her. As I thought that the final wolf falls, with 4 humans including Julie remaining.

The other three don't strike me as much, so I quickly jump in with a smash.

All four are stunned. While this happens I smash on one guys head while jabbing what seems to be a priest in the gut with the other end of the staff. Julie recovers and starts sending spells my way, I quickly dodge while coating myself in Bloodlust. Their faces blanch as they feel the bloodlust oozing off of me. I coat my staff in Aura as the Knight of them charges at me. A thrust at this abdomen leaves a hole clean through his gut. As she see that the Priest collapses to her knees sobbing and screaming incoherently. Julie seems to be the only one with fight left in her. I quickly end the Priest's misery with a quick thrust. I then turn to face Julie.

"Hello dear Julie." I must have looked the image of the Devil as I could see a wet stain forming around her crotch.

"Now Julie I have an offer for you. You join me and in return you don't die? Sound good?" Without waiting for a reply I dash forward as she stumbles back and lands on her bottom. I grasp her head and activate Authoritative Corruption. Fail. Shit I try again. Fail. I scream at her in frustration.

"JULIE DON'T RESIST IF YOU KNOW WHAT'S GOOD FOR YOU!"

"AUTHORITATIVE CORRUPTION!"
