《I'm A Professional Gamer, So How Did I Become King?》Prologue

Prologue
“.....Master?” Those are the first things I heard when I woke up, and let me tell you, those have been the most shocking words I’ve heard, even millions of years to this day. Let me start from the beginning.
“Sarah, it's a boy!” No no no, not that far back!!! I meant right about…..here. This is the perfect place to start.
Hi, my name is Roland Magnus, and I guess you can call me a professional gamer. I originally was in college to become a lawyer, but I guess you can say my exposure to crime resulted in me becoming distant to the world. I came to realize that no matter how hard you struggled, in the end it wouldn't matter, because as they say, rich or poor, you're both equal once in the coffin. And well, after that I dropped out of college and raised a small fortune through the stock market and secluded myself into virtual reality gaming. And well, my game of choice was Eternia Online.
Eternia Online is a fully simulated world, ‘Better than reality’ it was advertised as. And as a user, I can very well say that advertisement is correct. Everything is simulated in Eternia Online, bodily functions, physics, AI, lifespan, mana, everything. It is a game, yet it might as well be another world. In the game, you could even create guilds that could level into cities and even kingdoms. You could also create and fill your guild with various AI. The world itself was mainly wilderness and around 100,000x bigger than Earth and also much much much more dangerous. As you traveled further away from the small area that civilization took up, more and more monsters would appear until it reached a critical point and the amount of monsters grew smaller, yet their size and power grew vastly. I remember that the strongest monster I ever defeated there was about the size of Mt. Everest, and yet I know that wasn't the limit, not even close. I know this because of an event that became notorious and also left a small trauma on me. One day when it was sunny, the sky grew dark as something immense passed over the world and as it did, it opened an eye, and then shut it because it didn't see us as worthy of it's attention. That freaked out nearly every player. That's why, instead of sitting here and talking about one of my traumas, I’m gonna continue giving you some backstory to understand my past. Though now that I think about it, that kind of monster is kinda cute in comparison to the monsters I fight now….but I digress.

AI that are naturally in the game could speak and act as though they were real, however the NPC’s that you can create would only act as ordered, and they were very mechanical. That being said, I treated each and everyone of my party of NPC’s that I created as though they were family. That may be why I was treated kind of oddly among fellow players, but I crafted entire backgrounds and life stories for each of my created NPC’s in their character bio.
The world of Eternia Online runs at about 100x faster than in reality, which brings up some issues concerning character lifespans. I alone spent 4 years in reality and over 400 years in game playing Eternia. Due to the fact that mana was input into the game directories as a force of nature, given near omnipotent power, and then fully simulated into the world, various different studies into mana existed in Eternia, including immortality magic. Some people turned their characters into Elementals, and some gave up their physical form entirely, turning into spirits, and some even turned themselves into liches. My study of immortality magic was unique, in that it relied on perfection and then going past said perfection. I called it Ascension magic and I never spread it out, regardless of those that attempted to make me give it up.
Of course, immortality magic wasn't fully required when playing, as you could just play the game with a character that was of a long lived race, but when their lifespan eventually ran out, they would die and the character would be deleted. In fact, death even once with a character would cause them to be deleted. One character, one life. True, this caused some dislike for the game, but most just accepted it. True, some things did cross over between characters. For example, titles and unlocked races. The base race in the game is only humans, however, through meeting certain requirements, new races and even secret races could be unlocked.
I actually unlocked one of the secret races on my first play through, and after doing so I immediately killed my character and started over. I know that some may disagree, but what I found when adventuring in one of the dead zones by myself was a tomb, and inside that tomb I found a crystal vial full of a crimson liquid and when I used identification magic on it, it said ‘Drink, and awaken thy blood’ so obviously I had to drink it right? Yolo and all that. Well, I quickly came to regret my decision as I spent the next few hours in agonizing pain, before I finally got a notification saying I unlocked the secret race “True Ancestor Vampire”, but the agonizing pain never ended so I quickly killed myself and started over.

When I made my new character, I gave him black hair, red eyes, white skin, and made it devilishly handsome. I obviously selected True Ancestor as the race and then rolled for my class. Let me tell you, you are able to reroll for a class 10 times for free, but after that it costs money, and while I may have been rich, I rerolled enough times that I had to eat ramen for a year. What I finally got left me immensely happy, as I got the unique class ‘Ruler of Magic’. It was a magic class that gave me extremely high magical talent in all fields, but left me worse than useless when it comes to weapons. The way classes worked was that they didn't restrict what you could use, a mage could use weapons albeit poorly and swordsman could use weak magic, what it did do though is give you something like a talent pool, and when one talent is used too heavily, like mine with magic, it would also heavily detract talent from other areas.
Anyways, that character stayed alive for years and it's not because Vampires are immortal, in fact they only have about a 150 years of lifespan, practically immortal to the short lived humans though. I slowly grew stronger and researched my immortality magic and managed to develop both the Molecular reconstruction stage and the atomic reconstruction stage, both of which I will explain later, but I digress. I grew my Mana Core to the utmost size of my racial limits which were extraordinarily high due to my race being magically inclined in nature and brought it to the peak of purity. I was listed as one of the top players and leader of one of the top guilds, Imperial Silver. Essentially, I was at the peak of my fame and power when it happened.
Congratulations, you have been selected to be transferred to a world more suitable for you. It is identical in operation to Eternia Online and also comparable in size. As you have no option to decline, the process has already begun and it may be mildly uncomfortable, so please prepare yourself.
“What the hell is this!? I swear to god if this is another pran- ARRRRRGHHHGAAAAA!!!!¡!” I then proceeded to swiftly black out as the pain was even greater than when I first drank that vial.
Upon waking up, I found my head on top of a pair of the softest thighs I’d ever felt and being looked down upon by a beautiful woman with worrying eyes as I heard the most shocking words I’d ever heard to this day.

Author's Note: - This story will contain litrpg elements like Titles, Skills, and Levels. - MC will not become instantly powerful. I plan for a slower grind with a focus on the characters themselves rather than their abilities. - This is my first attempt at a litrpg story, so please leave any comments/suggestions you have!
