Chapter 6 - Lottery Part 1
Starting Races (Choose 2) Goblins Kobolds Slime Skeletons Golems Dryads Elemental Spirits Hive Insect Queen (Random) Dire Beasts Combat Bugs Dungeon Ability (Choose 1) Automatic Repair Monster Loyalty Spawn Timer Increase Evolution Chance Dungeon Instance Naming Increase Stats of Selected Race Trap Knowledge
In addition to the ones I saw during the tutorial, there were several new monsters.
Dryads as in tree monsters that lure and feed on people? Aren't they basically just highly evolved carnivorous plants? Since they rely on luring prey its good for individual and isolated appearances so they could be bosses, but if I built a dungeon of them people will have bound to learn about their tricks.
Elemental Spirits? Since they're not just called elementals that must mean this is the type that are like ghosts and can only influence their environments a little or provide elemental mana. They could increase my production of mana, but can I really risk getting a non-combat species?
I already have a Hive Insect Queen species and it costs more than my entire net worth despite being an Iron-Low if I roll badly I could end up with a species that I would not be able to summon for months or years even and it will only be able to produce a swarm a rank lower than the queen, the only upside is the possibility of a large army, however, how tragic would it be if they got one-shot by some mage.
Dire Beasts and Combat Bugs are probably combat specialized versions of normal creatures which means they should only cost a bit more than their normal counterparts which are already a LOT better than Hive Queens.
I already have one combat bug being the Spider that costs 3 DP for 1. That spider specializes in 3D maneuverability and sudden ambushes to inject venom, however, that also means that they only have 1 means of attack, if there's a method of countering their venom then they become substantially weaker. In a large dungeon using repeat attacks like that could wear a party down but I am a new-born dungeon who just finished the tutorial. The other creatures I own are just normal ones without any special tag.

The only appealing ones from the Dungeon Abilities are:
Increased Stats of Selected Race, if this a flat increase, then it will work perfectly for Hive species as the value would be extremely high with it affecting potentially millions of creatures.
Monster Loyalty which is needed to ensure that I don't get turned on by my summons.
Increase Evolution Chance has good potential, but I can only see it being significant if used with slimes or a Hive species, unless the increase is something absurd like being above 15%.
Naming is a staple in novels where you rule over monsters, usually, it gives instantaneous strengthening and the ability to resurrect, however, the cost is usually high.
Automatic Repair, Spawn Timer and Dungeon Instance are undoubtedly late game abilities, I can do the first 2 myself and Dungeon Instance is only useful if I am constantly getting raided.
And Trap Knowledge, is it some kind of joke? The only way this is useful is if it unlocks new traps for me, even if I knew about a trap does not mean I could replicate it.
Well, I should at least do lottery first. going back I selected the Lottery Option.
--~=~--
Lottery
(Choose one)
Monster
Equipment
Item
Book
You have 3 tokens left
--~=~--
Instantly, I strike Equipment and Item off my choices, even if I get God Equipment or some Sacred Treasure Item, they undoubtedly had high requirements and even if I can use them I'm just going to get robbed once the news gets out.
Monster was a bit better, but if I roll a powerful creature than I am forced to get Monster Loyalty and depending on what I get I could just end up attracting more trouble.
Which leaves Books, they could potentially contain hidden secrets and even if they do get taken I could just make an extra copy for myself beforehand and most importantly, they contained information. Dungeon's Wisdom is not omnipotent, it only tells me information that is widely distributed and it deems as correct, things that aren't widely spread cannot be included in its effect.

Deciding to roll 1 monster and 2 Books, I select monster first. The Box changes and only the word Monster was left on it, thousands of words started flashing by at high speeds, after a few seconds it began slowing.
"Cthulhu, Baron Nashor, Weak Zombie, Naga, Ragneros, Low Ranked Earth Elemental, Lich King Arthas, Kobold Magus, Hive Queen... WAIT STOP STOP GIVE ME THE HIVE QUEEN!"
The words left the screen one by one and all that was left was.
"WTF! Unlocked Lesser Slime in your Summons."
I was definitely getting trolled, showing me a bunch of legendary boss rank monsters and ending up with a lesser slime. Sure getting those huge ass monsters were pretty impractical at this stage but this system is definitely teasing me by showing me those monsters just when it slowed enough for me to see my prizes, but it ended up giving me. A. Lesser. Slime.
"HOW CAN THE WEAKEST F**KING MOB IN ANY GAME IMAGINABLE BE ANY WEAKER, DID IT JUST GIVE ME THE ABILITY TO SUMMON IT JUST TO SPITE ME!!!"
Undoubtedly a miss, checking its description, its 1 point lower on every stat than the normal slime and did not have the physical and magic resistance skills.
But that begs the question, how does it know about those monsters, which are supposed to be from my world, this isn't the first time this happened, the fact my Notifications, Status Screen and Control Panel are written in clear English is already proof of that. Does that mean that the Creation God recently visited our world? But that should be impossible, I know from dungeon's wisdom that the Creation God should be long dead, and the dungeon system is just on autorun right now. Does that mean?
"It sources the information from my head and creates options for those creatures?" This definitely sounds plausible, otherwise, how could a system on autorun keep up with the times, it must be able to source new information from the dungeon cores to keep the system updated, but that means that the system is in my head... I don't know how I feel about that... Right, let's just do the 3rd great technique of Hello Games, ignore the problem!
"Now then let's get to books now, there is no problem, this isn't escapism I swear."
