Welcome newborn core
"What? What's happening?"
You can now access the following options:
Status
Menu
"I have no idea what's going on here. Can someone please explain to me what's happening?"
I waited for a few minutes but nothing happened. All I could see was the blue box. Eventually I got bored.
"Fine, Access Status."
Name Unknown Age 5 minutes Race
Dungeon Core
Health 1 Health Mana 30 Mana Size N/A Fame N/A
I didn't know why but I could understand all that was written in the blue box. A small relief at least. Apperently my race is something called Dungeon Core. Whatever that is. I'm also a newborn. Just 5 minutes old. Wait... how do I know how long a minute is and how can I count?
Dungeon Cores are born with the basic understanding required to perform the task given to them. It was made clear long ago that without such knowledge no dungeon core could ever fulfill the role intended to them.
A while after finishing reading the new blue box is disappears. Well that didn't help much. So I'm supposed to know what my purpose is when I'm born? Then why am I so confused? I have no idea what's going on. Maybe...
I try to relax and remember something, anything really. After a while I give up. Seems like whatever knowledge I was born with isn't something I know or at least not something I can remember knowing. It might show up later. I comfort myself with the fact I'm a newborn. I'll have time to learn I'm sure.
I check my blue box containing my status again. Aside from the fact my age has gone up 9 minutes everything else has stayed the same. I wonder if this blue box will disappear too? Just as I thought it the bue box disappeared and I was in darkness. Don't panic. You can do this. I try thinking "Status" again and the blue box appeared again.

It's comforting to have something to look at. I wonder.... maybe I should try the other thing I could do?
"Access Menu"
Menu Construction
Well that's not much. It doesn't tell me anything. I try to focus on the word that isn't menu. Maybe something will happen. If not I'm out of ideas.
Welcome young core. Here is where you build your dungeon. All dungeon cores must start by building their Core room. This is where you'll spend the rest of your life. Note that as you grow your core room will move and grow with you but you will never be able to move out of your Core room. Please start by selecting where in the world you wish to placed. If you have no preference just select "Random placement"
Where in the world I want to be placed? How am I supposed to know something like that? I wish there was someone that could help me with this.
Help can only be accessed after placing your Core room. Do you wish help after placing your core?
"Yes! Yes, yes, yes!" Anthing to make this less confusing. Well I guess I'm not getting any help with this. Since I have no idea about the world I'll just go ahead and select "Random".
"I select "Random placement"
Placement selected as random.
Accessing worldmap...
There are currently 673946 places suitable for Dungeon Core placement. Since no preference was given the system will now randomly locate a suitable home...
Placement selected. Illana continent, Lyria kingdom, White Peak mountain.
Please prepare for location transport.
Good luck young coreling.
"Prepare for location transport. What does that mean?"
I never did get an answer as the next thing I knew darkness returned and my body was filled with pain.

Void Breaker
Note: Sadly, this story is currently on hiatus :( Elizabeth Sayler had lost everything in the bombing of Reaver Stadium. Her career, her fame, her power — all of it vanished the moment she lost use of her legs. Now, she's beginning to lose hope of ever healing herself… until her world integrates into the Void. When the apocalypse comes in a flurry of System messages, everyone on earth is given a choice: give up what they value most in themselves, and acquire a path to their heart’s greatest desire. Most would hesitate, but for Liz? She has nothing to lose, and absolutely everything to gain. Armed with newfound powers in a world teeming with monsters, she’s determined to not only survive, but to somehow break the Void’s endless assault. * * * This is a small note about the portrayal of disability in this story. As much research as I do and as many people as I ask, I will in the end only be able to understand a small portion of paraplegia and similar disabilities. Therefore, if there is anything particularly disrespectful, please do not hesitate to contact me. I always intended to portray disability in a respectful way in this story, but please know that Liz as a character does not start out with a healthy view of disability. This is intentional, and a large part of her character development comes from this view changing as she learns. Disability is not something she simply "discards" at the beginning of the story, but an ongoing theme and a part of her journey.

Cloud Dungeon
In the many parallel worlds filling the universe, earth is a rare world which possessed the largest amount of 'interference' from other worlds. The most common interference is the summoning of heroes and reincarnation. This story is no different except that in the process of calling the desired people, the efforts of three goddesses were messed with causing the summoned to not be the older brother or the father. Instead a four year old child was summoned. Backed by her love of fairy tales and folklore, we shall see how this young child with the help of her lazy best friend and pet cat will change the very face of the world starting from a tiny cloud and becoming a dungeon filled with any and all fairy tales she had heard of and watched.

Joshua, through no fault of his own, stumbles into the grove, and is immediately killed for trespassing. The Rovaldan Lancers
“Who stole my underwear? The Dark Lord is coming and I can’t ride to face him with my pecker hanging out!” - High Paladin Waltz “Small Pecker” Vonstein. A series of shorts depicting the Rovaldan Lancers in their 2000 year struggle against the archenemy, The Dark Lord. Follow this not so prestigious order which guards The Bastion, a not so formidable fortress which is the obstacle standing in The Dark Lord’s way from invading the realm of Rovaldan. “Invasion? I just want to get an honest paying job and pay taxes. The Ruined Lands have terrible food and even worse entertainment. The standard of living here is truly terrible.” - An excerpt from an interview with The Dark Lord. Chapters will be short, between 400-1200 words, with at least three release a week and more if I am able.
