Skill Holder:
Hisoka Morow
Post Mortem Nen: Level 5
A passive skill automatically triggered upon a Nen practitioner's death. Brings back to life when certain conditions are fulfilled. The stronger the emotions involved, the stronger the energy throughout the resurrection.
<
Skill Holder:
Hisoka Morow
Post Mortem Roulette: Level 2
Type: Specialization
A skill specially devised by Hisoka Morow and triggered upon a Nen practitioner's death. Used in conjunction with the Post Mortem Nen and Texture surprise skills. Randomly influences prospects.
<
Skill Holder:
Hisoka Morow
Texture Surprise: Level 8
Type: Specialization, Conjuration
The user can apply his aura to any smooth, flat surface, such as paper or cloth, and visible imagery on it to change its appearance and texture for deception. He can replicate over one thousand different textures. The ability can be used together with Post Mortem nen skills to produce random benefits or detriments.
As Gon was mulling over and contemplating the different abilities of Hisoka, he finally got some semblance of a clue concerning the circumstances of his death. He wasn't particularly versed in specialization or Post mortem nen. Kite explained those concepts to him in very little detail.
Despite being a conjurer, and possessing high chances to turn into a specialist, Kite didn't seem all that interested in that elusive nen. His behavior was even stranger every time Gon mentioned the latter division.
The man only had one of three words for it:
"Dreadful, Unadapted, Conflicting." Gon wasn't sure who those words were for...His teacher's expression was grim each time the matter was brought up.

However, something deep inside told him that his teacher and grandmaster were probably versed in the discipline.
The mystery surrounding his father only served to grow as time passed. It was partly Gon's fault because he never asked any substantial question even in the last life.
Instead of asking Kite real questions, all they talked about beside Mito and Whale Island was their own adventures. His pride got in the way when Kite proposed to give him a few tips on how to seek his father. It was more of a game for him than something that should have been straightforward.
There was no reason to make it difficult. A son had every right to meet their father even through spontaneous means.
"How foolish was I?" Gon thought in self-ridicule.
While the boy kept examining his not so friendly savior, the latter finally gazed in his direction. "Shit!" Gon, who realized his rashness, panicked and stopped looking that way.
At that exact moment, a fat yet burly middle-aged man approached. When the teen looked at him and the object in his hand, a smile formed on his face.
Third Person POV: ??
"Atcha! That fool is playing with fire."
A bald and very fit young man with feathered eyebrows mocked inside. The man donned a black shirt with thick shoulder pads, grey pants, and shoes. He also wore a red bandana around his neck and white bandages around his wrists and ankles.
He was observing the situation with extreme caution due to his training and profession. As a ninja, the man always had the habit of studying his future opponents meticulously before making any move.
His talent was already exceptional, but as a result of his gruesome training, his senses were scarily acute.
When that boy made his entrance, his skin shivered. One thought in his mind:

"Fucking monster!"
It was the second time in one day. He felt a similar feeling when that clown from before arrived. However, he only felt suffocated when gazing at the latter. The boy was a completely different case.
If the man in the corner was a vicious snake, then the kid was a proud and domineering tiger. The essence of their powers was the opposite.
As a rogue, the type of opponent he feared the most was the latter.
"Looks like I came to the right place." The man thought with excitement. He needed to find ways to get that scroll. If hunters were even more reliable than the examinees, then he was bound to find information. If not, his strength would once again experience a leap.
His training had become stagnant in recent years in any case.
Third Person POV: Gon
"Hi, I suppose it's your first time here."
As Tonpa introduced himself politely, Gon noticed the furtive gazes from the bald man hidden at the other end of the long line of participants. The last time they met, Gon had suffered at his hands due to his stubbornness:

"What?!" Gon was amazed by Hanzo's actual power without nen. But the last line in his status screen appalled him.
"Let me introduce myself. The name's Tonpa. I might not look like it, but I'm a veteran.

Almave
Welcome to AlmaVé. First thing you have to know is that it's a tragedy. Nope, not talking about my book yet. It's a tragedy that you're reading this instead of clicking on chapter 1. I did fail speech introductions after all. My story? Right that's what you're here for. My bad, try this: Lilia Hammond is reborn (cliché, but we all know we enjoy it when it's done for a purpose) as Syndra Sanmey. She was a graphic designer who hadn't caught her break yet. She was paralyzed for months before she was offered the opportunity to join a program that would allow her to-NOPE! not virtual reality. The doctors killed her and dumped her body. Tough. In her new world, Lilia has to fight herself to find out who she truly is. With the possibility to cast magic and a second chance at life, Lilia thinks she can really make something for herself. Her goal? Become the greatest artist the world had ever seen. The rub? World is a bit darker than anything she saw on earth. Thankfully, Lilia is getting quite familiar with the darkness inside her and her magic might just be the thing to save the-hey! wait it's not that kind of book. No saving the world. No hero syndrome. Just magic and blood and a bit of crafting. Yup. Fighting. Romance? Eh? What's that? The first arc is Lilia's shift from Earth to creating backstories for the three major characters. It's not funny and light. It's often dark and funny. Ah, I really should have gone through a punk-rock phase. Or goth. Would I look good with black hair? Hmm.. There are three MCs and they are Jackson, Daryl, and Lilia/Syndra. Daryl is currently kidnapped and Jackson just awakened his magic. I don't want to spoil (much) but soon things will be very fun to write. Hope to see you there! Leave a comment even if you're just stopping by so I can say hey! Chapters to be published twice weekly. Contact First
2039 - Earth A narrow beam energy signal appeared aimed squarely at earth from the TRAPPIST system. The communication consisted of a layered set of repeating data over several thousand wavelengths. Over the next few months scientists discovered that the lower wavelengths carried an encoded numerical language which could then be used to interpret the more complicated messages carried on the higher wavelengths. After half a year of painstaking work the signal was fully decoded. It described a small satellite launched along a precise trajectory towards the fourth planet of our solar system. Included was a package of advanced research that humanity would need to have ready in order to receive the satellite and decelerate it safely. The alien data provided the kick that humanity needed to turn from petty squabbling and unite to explore the final frontier. Major government and corporate leaders worked together to create the framework for the United Federation of Sol. UFS spaceports went from scaffolding to daily launches in every major city around the globe. Ships floated like dandelion seeds, spreading on solar wind to grow into colonies. 2397 - Mars orbit, Egeria Station The command center was a hive of activity as checks were conducted and systems initialized. Scientists flitted by like mayflies as communicators beeped and holoscreens spat out green tinted readouts. Nervous energy was thick in the air as everyone anticipated the culmination of over three hundred years of work. Massive fusion reactors under the planet's surface thrummed with barely restrained power as energy fed into a gleaming metallic maze criss crossing the planet. Metal fingers reached up, overshadowing the mighty olympus mons and trying to grab the stars. All over the solar system, people quickly turned to look as gigantic energy lances shot from the dusty fourth planet. Two years later. The same people that clapped loudly at the successful activation of project Hermes now wait with baited breath. A silver capsule trailing bright photonic sails is captured by a net of grav beams and guided with care bordering on reverence into the station. Holoscreens across the headquarters project an image of the sleek craft settling in the bay. Data connections are established and the holoscreens blink to white. Slowly an image forms on the screen. Across the headquarters people stare in wonder as a wholly alien face stares back. "Contact established. Welcome to the universe."

Directorate: Nationbuilding in Apocalypse
A nation is just a means of survival. Metro Manila fell within 5 months of the first report of cannibalism. Once a hyperurbanized region of 15 million inhabitants, it's been reduced to a dead, greenless shell. Most of the infected had since left to ravage the countryside. The central government was nowhere to be found. Among the survivors who clung to the few gardens and humble plots of arable land left, one of them finds evidence that the slaughter wasn't going to just end with the first wave. Without a nation and a wall of guns, everyone will die. Directorate is an original nationbuilding webnovel that focuses on the gradual rise to power of a select few individuals, and the subsequent unification of the survivors of a devastated Metro Manila. Releases targeted at every 1 to 3 weeks. If there are no chapter updates after 3 weeks, there will be a progress update. Number of releases targeted at a maximum of 100 chapters. Every 10-15 chapters, there will be a 1-month hiatus to let me plan for the next 10-15 chapters. Double releases have a not-insignificant-but-still-small chance of occurring.
