《The Immortal Mutant Teen》Chapter 23 - Trying To Pierce The Heavens

"There's no need to worry though, just because he can't challenge me, doesn't mean he can't accept my challenge," Acheron says.
Akeno looks at him confused, "Challenge? You are gonna challenge him?"
"Not just him, but everyone" his smile grew wide, "It seems it hasn't spread that far yet, but I believe everyone will know by the end of the day"
They were confused, they pulled out their phones to check the school's forums to see if there's anything there. That's when they saw it, they read through the article about yesterday's event at the Colosseum.
They were shocked when they saw his name and a picture of Poison in the article, but before they could say anything Kobayashi-sensei walked in.
"Everyone shut up and take your seats, I have announcements to make before we get started…" everyone felt that sensei wasn't in a good mood, they wondered what happened,
"Belau-san, your public challenge to the entire school and your fight with Poison have been approved. The fight with Poison will be at 1700 (5 pm) on Friday, as for your other challenges, you have till 1900 (7 pm) to finish them, if not, however many people remain, will be counted as a loss individually and put on your official record.
As of yesterday, 150 people have accepted your challenge, with the number expected to grow by Friday as you seem to have pissed off quite many students. As your teacher, I have been made a referee and will be in charge of all your matches. The school has decided to not give you any breaks in between rounds, in turn, if a student you challenged fails to be in the arena after 10 seconds, it will count as a forfeit and be considered your win.
Weapons are allowed for all your matches, victory is achieved only by KO, submission, or forfeit, and there's no time limit…. Do you, Belau-kun, accept the terms of your challenge?"

Everyone's brain short-circuited at the announcement, they just stared with their mouths wide open, not knowing what to say in this situation. This kind of event has never happened before, not ever, one student vs 150?
No, it's only Tuesday, there are still 2 ½ days left, how many students will sign up by then? And no breaks? How can anyone ask for this?
They all turn their heads slowly towards Acheron, only to see him just smiling there not caring for the stares or the challenge he put up.
Acheron with a smile on his face simply looked at the teacher and said,
"It won't be a problem"
'It won't be a problem' those words echoed inside the minds of his classmates. They were simple, yet extremely arrogant but it lit a fire inside them causing their blood to boil in excitement.
This classmate of theirs is trying to pierce a hole through the heavens! He said those words with so much confidence that some already believed he would come out victorious at the end of the day.
Sora stood up with his hand raised, with a look of excitement on his face, he asked, "Sensei! where can we sign up?"
At his words, both Akeno and Sakura glared at him with an angry look, they wanted to know why he would still sign up even after they were told not to mess with him.
When they looked at Acheron now, they could feel a slight pressure from him, they could tell he was excited about the upcoming fight.
The excited classmates of theirs wanted to let the whole school know what happened here but before that, they still had class.
Kobayashi-sensei had finished her announcement, she waited for the class to calm down a bit before starting her lecture.

Acheron was once again looking out the window, he had a big smile on his face, 'How long has it been since I have fought so many people at once? Not since Romania, I think?'
Before fully immersing himself in his thoughts, Acheron turned back to look at the girls,
"By the way, Poison had challenged me due to you, Akeno, it seems that you might be more popular with male students than I thought, I thought it would be because of Sakura seeing that she is supposed to rank higher than you.
So, I won the bet but there's no need to follow through with it though, I originally just wanted to tease you two"
The girls turn to look at his smiling face, they had almost forgotten about the bet,
" So that's why you are fighting Poison! He has always been after Akeno! I always said he was a creeper!" Sakura says
"We weren't going to follow through with the bet either, so, it doesn't matter that we lost, you don't seem too bothered by it anyways" Akeno also says
Shaking his head at their shameless antics, Acheron turns back to look out the window.
Class finished with Acheron not even looking at the whiteboard even once, Akeno was worried, while Sakura was annoyed with his attitude.
As they were walking out of the class, Akeno looked at the Acheron with a worried expression on her face, "Are you taking notes Acheron? Will you be alright not paying attention in class?"
"You should pay more attention in class, Kobayashi-sensei has 5 Ph.D.'s and she's only 25 years old," Sakura said
With a chuckle, he responded, "As I said before, I already know all this, so there's no need to worry about me, instead, you should be asking me if you have any questions"
"Yeah, whatever you say" Sakura responded, 'No matter how powerful your family is, your only 17, how much can you know?' she thought.
'5 PhDs? that's it?... I have been given tons of those' Acheron thought to himself before shaking his head in amusement as he continued walking behind the girls.
The rest of the day was pretty uneventful, the news of yesterday's events slowly spread through the student populace, by the time clubs started, everyone seemed to be talking about Acheron.
Some students spoke about his upcoming match with Poison and were betting who would win, most saying that Acheron would lose. Others spoke about his luck with women, how he had seduced the top 3 beauties and were doing 'this' and 'that' throughout the campus.
It didn't help that Kotone was seen following Acheron around, saying that she wants him and how he needs to take responsibility for his actions.
When they were heading towards the dining facilities, Kotone appeared once again before Acheron and the girls. He was starting to get a headache when dealing with her, he noticed that her eyes had regained some spirit after their song together but she still had that cold look on her face.
'She needs to smile more, just like when we sang together' Acheron thought.
