《The Immortal Mutant Teen》Chapter 22 - No Need To Be Afraid

In the morning, Rose wakes up and gets ready for the day. She picks out Acheron's clothes that he would wear for the day, makes breakfast, and prepares the documents that are needed for Acheron to look over.
She walks to the intercom on the wall and notifies Acheron that everything is ready for him. She takes pleasure in doing these things, for her, she believes it to be training on how to be a good wife.
She blushes every time this thought runs through her mind, which in turn brings a chuckle out of Acheron as he sees her covering her cheeks as she turns her body side to side, like a bashful maiden.
'To think this girl ranks 1st in the international list of assassins' Acheron chuckles at this thought, 'I wonder what the other assassins would think if they saw 'Dark Rose' like this'
"Good morning Rose, did you sleep well?" Acheron asks as he sits at the dining table.
"Of course, Acheron-sama! I dreamt of you!" she gives a big smile as she brings his food to the table.
"Hoh~, is that so? What was it?" he asks with the smile on his face growing bigger.
She starts to blush when her dream flashes through her mind, "It's a secret Acheron-sama, I don't need to tell you anything!" Her blushing only intensifying as she looks upon his teasing smile, 'No way I can tell Acheron-sama that I had a wet dream!!!'
Acheron proceeds to eat his breakfast, he doesn't need to eat, but he just eats because he loves the taste of food, especially homemade.
His body also doesn't need to sleep, it has been almost 500 hundred years since he had last closed his eyes for something other than meditation. At that time, his powers had a breakthrough and fell unconscious for 27 hours.

He reads the reports that Rose brought him, he smiles at what he sees.
"Interesting indeed," Acheron says "I wonder how they will react when they see me this morning" he laughs as he puts the files away.
"I'm glad everything is to your satisfaction Acheron-sama" Rose smiles with a slight blush on her face. 'Ahhh~ Acheron-sama is so handsome when he laughs!'
Standing up, he heads towards his room, "I'll be getting ready, start the car and wait for me, I don't want to be late on my second day of school"
"Yes, Acheron-sama" Rose puts the dishes away and goes to the car.
Acheron arrives in front of the school in a Bentley, no one notices his arrival, since everyone here has money, he is not the only one getting out of an expensive car.
Today, he is wearing an all-black Armani suit with a red tie, Acheron prefers to wear a suit anytime he leaves the house, something about him looking better in them.
Though he is not the first in class, hardly anyone is in yet, as usual, he goes to his seat and looks out the window towards the sky.
15 minutes later, Akeno, Sakura and Sora enter the classroom, they have noticed him already in his seat, though it seems nothing has changed, to them, there's an inexplicable pressure that exudes from him that wasn't there before, or at least, they had barely noticed before.
Sora decides to just glare at him for a second before seating in his at his desk. Seeing this, Akeno and Sakura give each other wry smiles before nodding their heads in confirmation. It appears they already have a game plan ready on how they would interact with Acheron.
Most of their classmates notice the girls head towards Acheron before stopping just a few feet away from him. They bow toward him before saying, "Good morning, Acheron-sama"

This sends their classmates into a frenzy 'Acheron-sama??'
'How can their goddesses bow their heads towards a man they just met?'
'What is his identity?'
They were shocked and confused at the scene, they didn't know how to feel about this situation.
Acheron heard their greeting but didn't turn around to look at them, "So, it seems now you know somethings, was it from the Saegusa Clan Head?... if I remember correctly there was an incident about 5 years ago… Ah, that's right, I had to ask Steve to drag Alpha back home before he spilled more secrets to strangers… he has always been such lightweight when it comes to alcohol…"
They continued to just stand there, not saying anything, they just waited for him to finish what he was saying. They couldn't help but notice how the air around Acheron had changed, it wasn't the carefree aura he had yesterday, but the aura of leader, no, it was of a ruler.
"You girls don't have to be so formal, right now I am just a student, not some monster you need to be scared of, you can lose the 'sama' and just Acheron is fine, I will continue to refer to you as 'Sakura' and 'Akeno' is that alright with you?" At this point, Acheron had turned to look at the girls, as always, with a smile on his face.
The girls felt a huge weight lift from their shoulders, they weren't sure if finding things about him didn't already offend him.
With a smile on their faces, "Good morning, Acheron"
In turn, Acheron said, "Good morning, Akeno, Good morning, Sakura"
The girls took their seats, as they were going to ask questions about him, he beat them to the punch "Hey Sakura, why is your brother looking at me like that?"
They turn to look at Sora, who is just staring daggers at Acheron.
With a helpless look on her face, she mentally admonished her brother for being such a battle maniac. "He is just mad because Father prohibited from challenging you to a fight, Father is worried about him getting himself killed"
Acheron's smile grew when he heard those words,
"Understandable, I am known for not holding back even amongst my family"
That got a chuckle out of him, he remembered 5 years ago he flew to Japan just to kick Alpha's ass into the ground, he never even got off the plane, he had Alpha dragged into the plane before beating him, it took Alpha 2 weeks to fully recover from that beating.

The Journey of a Lazy Magician
As the state of the world grew dangerous everyday as the Demon Lord whom have the capability to destroy the world, will be un-sealed soon and the attacks of the demon forces' became more frequent, what better time it would be to be held as one of the richest person in the world. Only a sane person with the right mind would do that. Having to acquire something before an inevitable and hopeless end is the best option rather than trying to find the solution for the end of the world. I mean, the device used to re-seal the Demon Lord is gone. It could be under the ocean for all we know so why waste you're energy on stupid things like that? Of course, why would I waste my energy to do my incredibly hard goal when I can have my fellow party members to do it. Saving their "lives" from lesser goblins using a stick as a weapon usually does the trick to get someone on board so I think I'm pretty much set. *The cover photo is mine :3* AN: And thus, a schedule has been formed! I would be posting new chapter ever 2-3 days and if i haven't posted in this time, then something happened to me personally that makes me unable to post chapters in the scheduled time. The reason will mostly be school or i just have a lot of things scheduled in a certain day, etc. Sorry if it did happen as i am a very busy senior high student and could only write in his free time. Anyway, that is all and have a good day/night, the person who is reading this!
8 75Luck And Chronomancy
Time Magic is the best magic as everyone knows, although there are lots of unique Talents in the world. Most people only remember Haste because it is hard to get to higher Phases of Chronomancy. That is still enough to make the Talent iconic. A lucky enough Aleatory Talent can position you for greatness or leave you languishing in obscurity. The only true equality in the world is when that glowing message pops up at 8 years old. Even if it doesn't activate until you are an adult at 16 you still know. Sure you can find a new dungeon spawn and get another chance at a rare Talent, even this one, but you have to already be ready to delve into the *Far Wilds*, which is far easier with wealth or family power. This is the story of where my good fortune took me and the difference it made, even among a party of 7 others including an Arcanist. It is a journey of magic and monsters but also math, which some think is actually worse. Luckily I was born with Intelligence and Focus as my personal traits, and my parents were scholars. Of course Chronomancy can also be a frontline combat talent. Versitility well beyond other Elder Talents like Gravity, Abstraction, or Arcana. Might could have worked for me, too. I also met a runaway princess. All the best adventures have a princess. She hated being a noble and we didn't get married but it still counts. Besides she really filled out our front line. All that Leadership training came in handy. I still don't know where she's from. Who cares? How well Haste goes with giant hammers is what's important. I never learned much about anyone in the party, except the one I grew up with. I'm not a people person. I just wanted to optimize dungeon clearing time. *******Story Details******* No romance, politics, or traumatizing content, slice of life, or even dialogue. 1st person narration, like a guide/adventure log. 2000-7000 words a day, maybe 40-60% rpgish combat log with some reasoning on combat decisions, with the rest character Talent discussion and progression stuff. 8 person party with a decent variety in roles. Party members usually have 2 primary functions. Told from the support/control Chronomancer's perspective. Each party member will have 6 Basic/Background Traits, then 3 actual Talents with abilities. Capstone from their Educational Institution, Arbritrary as a gift from the temples, and Aleatory which is decided at birth, revealed at 8, and activated after adulthood at 16. Aleatory Traits ignore requirements and are random why is why they are so important. They'll gain new Talents from finding Dungeons to consume in the *Wilds*. Mature dungeons in cities can provide *Challenges* to raise the Phase of a Talent, up to 3 times from 1 to 4. Each character will get to roughly 8 non-Trait Talents. Attributes come exclusive from Talents, are required by Talents, and provide various effects as well. I designed about 220 Talents with abilities, 4 in each of 4 phases. "Traits" are just Attribute stuff. I'm not sure how many will be detailed in the story, more than 100 for sure. I used Talents because I want to be free of the legacy of tabletop. Half those rules are just because of the limitations inherent in a pre-computer ttrpg. This story mostly uses combat Talents, although like 1/3 of the 220 are for crafting and other society and economy stuff. If you really wanted to be a Thief you might take Intuition, Awarness, and Might for Basic Traits and Deftness, Manipulation, and Trickery for Family/Education. Then you'd pick Acrobatics, and Climbing for Educational Capstone and Arbitrary traits. You Aleatory Trait might be Shadow(Light/Dark) Magic, Umbramancy. A Bard might swap Dexterity for Charisma, Music for Acrobatics, and have gotten Illusion(Shadow/Sound(Air/Force)) for their Aleatory Trait.
