I went to sleep and woke up the next day feeling refreshed.

Wearing the special Nano Mask I had constructed in Uni I made my way towards the 1st company I had emailed. I had got the idea to build the Nano Mask from seeing the Black Widow use it in the Winter Soldier. It was an item with sheer potentially broken use with its ability to change face and voice. I had immediately begun making it in uni, adding in some upgrades of my own.

The name often misleads people into believing that the thing was made out of nanobots like Tony Stark's armour, but it wasn't. The reason why it was called Nano Mask was that it was made with a mesh veil of programmable, nano-sized holographic cells which replicates anyone's face. The official term for this mask was Photostatic Veil.

Unlike the original one which required the DNA of the person to copy their face, I simply required the photo of a person and can change to their appearance instantly.

They were a small construction company and wasn't expecting me as they hadn't checked their e-mail.

I met with their Recruitment Head who was sceptical about me.

I passed him my fake degree certificate which I had made for just this kind of occasion. "You are a Physicist, how are you going to help us with ethical hacking? Not only that you hold no certification of any kind or showed skills to prove that you have experience working with IT." He stated.

I sighed. "Do you have an internet connection here?" I asked him.

He frowned. "Yes, we do."

"Hook my laptop up to your internet. I will show you my skills right now." I told him.

He was sceptical before he decided to see my skills. "Ok." He said as he passed me the ethernet cable to connect to their internet.

Within 20 minutes I had hacked into their company server. "You id to login to your company database is SWilliam13, your password is ILoveJulie243!!!" I told him which caused him to open his mouth wide in shock.

"Now do you believe in my skills?" I asked the surprised IT Head.

"Yes! Let's discuss your pay!" He quickly announced as he whipped up a contract.

However, I stopped him. "I am a freelancer, so I have 3 packages for you and a special offer instead of working for you under a contract. Listen to it before you make a decision." I told him.

"Ok let me hear it." The man said curiously.

"Package 1 is the Normal defence which is what a company like you will ever need.

Package 2 is Intermediate Defence is what pretty famous national companies need.

Package 3 is Advanced Defence is the kind of the package a national security and Global organisation needs.

Of course, the defence that I set up for you will become outdated over time depending on technologic advancement but till then your companies database will be secure from most local companies and peoples attack.

Package 1 will cost- $100,000

Package 2 will cost- $1,000,000

Package 3 will cost- $10,000,000

You will only need to pay me once you feel satisfied with the defence, I had set up for you. If you aren't satisfied with it, I will simply remove the defence." The man nearly choked hearing my price.

"Before you comment on the price let me put to you my offer.

If you go to the website where you found me and leave a review of your experience, then I will give you a 50% discount.

Remember the defence I will set up is going to be extremely strong to the point anyone who wants to hack into your database will find it not worth it for what they are getting paid to hack a company like yours.

You are free to test the defence of your website once I set it up." I told him.

"This… I have to discuss with my superiors since its such a large amount." He told me.

I nodded at him. "Just remember you only need to pay after testing my product and being satisfied with it," I told him before I left the company.

Like that, I visited the 2 other company and made the same offer.

All 3 of them told me they will contact me after consulting their supervisors.

I came back home to rest and went to check my website.

Similar to the last time there were few more offers from companies for testing their website defence.

I accepted all of them and emailed them the specified time I will visit them tomorrow.

This went on for weeks before a few companies called me back.

I went there with a premade software and set up their defences within an hour.

"You are free to test it for the next 72 hours. If you are satisfied or not please contact me after the next 72 hours, otherwise, I will take down the defence I have set up." I told them before I left.

3 days later all those companies called me after testing the defence and were satisfied with it. I had earned about $200,000 from just this along with getting four 5 star reviews on me.

It went like this for a month before I got an interesting offer.

'Hi, I saw that your profile said you are happy to work as a consultant as well for researchers. I am currently working on a project.

I would like to talk to you seeing as you are highly recommended by pretty well-known companies on this website.

If you are interested, please come to Hammer Industries and ask for Dr Fargen anytime this week.' I smiled at this.

I sent a response back saying I will come to visit him tomorrow at 5 pm. Before I went back to bed.

'Hammer industries' This will be my ticket to getting to being popular. Who the hell doesn't wish to be a vigilante in a superhero world?

With this, I will become the mysterious vigilante I have always dreamed to be! Muahahaha!

Not really. I don't really care about vigilante or heroism. I will establish myself as something more!

Oh, I am getting sidetracked, I need to sleep.

Next day after visiting certain companies that had booked appointments with me, I came before the Hammer industries headquarters. I applied the nano mask that I had made and changed my facial appearance.

As I walked towards the security barrier. "Reason for visit?" The guard asked me.

"I was asked by Dr Fargen to meet him. Tell him the person from 'Jack of All Trades' is here." I told the guard who soon said something into his radio.

After a wait of 10 minutes, a bald person in his late 40's came out. "Hi, I am Dr Fargen." He extended his hand with a bit of surprise seeing as I was pretty young.

"You can call me Dave," I told him with a smile.

"So, what do you do Dave?" He asked me as we entered the building.

"I am MSc Physicist graduated from Oxford. Currently working as a freelancer for all sorts of companies mainly as an ethical hacker." I told him.

"So, what do you require of me Dr Fargen?" I asked him.

"Well before that we have to sign an NDA as this partly confidential." He said as he led me to a meeting room.

I read through the NDA, and after seeing there was nothing wrong with it, signed it.
