3rd POV
A young boy woke up in an unfamiliar place.
"Where is this?" he thought to himself.
"Where am I?"
"Wait.."
"Who am I?"
The boy was confused.
He found himself stranded in the middle of an empty patch of grass land. The wind lightly rustled against his face, as he found himself struggling to stand.
For some reason, it hurts.
He walked forward.
Each step he took left a sharp pain in his knees.
There was nothing in sight.
Just an empty grass field. Over and over and over.
He walked for miles and miles. Kilometers upon kilometers.
And yet, he couldn't see anything at all.
There was no clouds in the sky.
A merciless sun continued to beat down upon his lifeless body. Shining its terrible rays, hoping to bring him down back to the ground.
But the boy persevered.
An unknown feeling was telling him to move forward.
The boy found himself staring at a small river. It had a nice little stream that went down somewhere. The water was pure and untainted. He found himself following the river.
As he continued, the sun didn't seem to stop attacking. It was like a turn based game where the only move the boy could do was to harden himself.
At last, the boy found himself standing on an edge.
There was nothing below it, aside from small little shiny lights.
"Thoese are stars" something told him, it was something inside, perhaps memories of his past.
And next to it, the boy looked upon a bigger ball. It seemed to be the size of his head from the distance he was peering at it.
"That is earth, a planet" this time, the boy could hear a voice speak to him.
He was tired, ready to collapse at any momment, but somehow, he felt himself feeling better and better.
"I'm sorry Dominic, but this is all that I can help you with" the voice continued.
"Dominic. So that was my name" the boy understood.
"Who are you?" Dominic had asked.
"You can call me Mr P, we were pretty close in the past after all" the voice said warmly.
A small flash of light glowed below the boy's feet, and some seeds, along with a few strange looking things. They were round, a slightly deformed shape of round, had crisp brown skin, and a soft feeling when touched.

"This are...." the boy knew this. It was something he had liked dearly. So much so that his hands were already instinctively moving the food into his mouth.
"Potatoes right?" The boy told Mr P.
"Yes!" the voice was delighted. It was strange, but the voice was extremely happy.
"Listen now Dominic, I don't have much time. Earth is the only place where my powers are great enough to talk to you. I have sent you a paper, it has all that I need to tell you. The creator is catching onto me, you have to sur.v..ive" then, the voice transmition was cut off.
Sure enough, the boy found a paper with writings he somehow understood on it.
"Dominic, listen. Plant seed potatoes 12 inches apart and cover with about 3 inches of soil. When the shoots reach 10 to 12 inches tall, scoop soil from between rows and mound it against the plants, burying the stems halfway. Repeat as needed through the growing season to keep the tubers covered. Remember, it is always growing season here.
I have to tell you about yourself, your name is Dominic.
You are a candidate of Origin. Hence meaning you have the potential to replace Origin himself. As a candidate of Origin, you would have to fight against things called 'destroyers' in the future. Naturally, Origin himself could do it, but he might have tricked you and the others otherwise. He has sent you here to kill you off. Since he is unable to directly harm you as it influences with some strange rules he can't break, he has sent you here to kill you off. Without food and water. ( I made the infinite river) Why does he do this? Let me ask you, do you really want to die and be replaced by someone you don't even know? A Candidate of Origin is NOT the spawn of miracles, but by the will of some greater set of unbreakable rules.
As much as I want to tell you about us, you must first survive. As long as you survive for a million billion years or so here, this space will distort, and you'll return back to your birthplace. You might not remember it though.

In the meantime, I will try to send entertainment your way somehow so as to ensure you don't go insane after a million billion years.
Since this is somewhere in the past, you can also look at the history of the worlds and universes where you saw earth just now. Perhaps that would entertain you somewhat.
It would be very boring, but you just have to survive.
And if its possible, somehow train yourself before you return. You can think "stats" in your head to check.
-Mr P "
The boy was rather shocked. For someone who had just lost his memories, it was alot to take in. He had no idea what a candidate of origin was, but he had a very very long time to decrypt the meaning from that single paper.
"stats" the boy called out.

The boy realised, that he had a long road ahead. He began to dig a hole and plant the seeds.
With that, a million billion years passed. The boy had watched planets come and go, humans conolizing and enslaving other species. Amargeddon warfare, massive destruction and creation, until finally the time where everything had merged. The war between everything. The birth to the death of the hero. The different barriers that was made to seal the beings. The secrets that each layer held. And finally, the dissapearence of the world where every square centimeter was covered in potatoes.
"I guess this is goodbye" the boy said to his world. Somewhere along the line, he had learned to forgive, to accept and understand. Even the hate he felt towards Origin for trapping him here at a certain point in time, was long gone.
"Stats" the boy called out for one last time.

"DOMINIC! Are you okay?" the boy heard a worried voice calling out to him.
Tears welled up in his eyes.
He hadn't heard a single voice directed to him ever since origin caught onto Mr P 3 million years ago.
He noticed a man, another man, a woman, a young girl, a young boy looking at him.
The woman and men looked to be around the same age.
"Where's my mother?" Dominic asked.
Strangely, the young women who appeared to be no more than 16 raised her hand awkwardly.
"huh>?" Dominic was confused.
"Amnesia I see, I'm sorry my daughter, I have sealed the stone as I sensed a great power from it, but it has dissapeared ever since your son had touched it. Perhaps, it may be so great it caused him to lose his power" a 16 year old man said to the 16 year old women.
Dominic was startled.
"What exactly was going on here?" he couldn't comprehend the situation.
"Dominic come here" beckoned the man who called the young women his daughter.
"Scan" he declared solemmly.
"This..."
HIs eyes opened.
"He has lost all his intellect and skills?!" the old man(?) exclaimed.
"HIs stats have all fallen!" he announced yet again.
"So... where am I?" Dominic asked.
And that began his new life at his old village.

In the distant past, beyond recorded history, when the crown of humanity's glory, the city of Uri, had stood whole against the enroaching demon swarms- even as hope seemed lost, a band of heroes, against all odds, managed to steal powerful magical knowledge from the demons. With the demon's forbidden knowledge, in the heart of Uri a new ritual was made. Called, "The Millenial Summoning," the ritual had the power to call a being from another world that would have the power to change the world forever. The first being summoned became known as "The Speaker," and he brought the power of the Gods to the world. With the blessings and power of the new priests, the unstoppable demon hordes were finally halted. A thousand years later, the ritual was used again and "The First Sorceress" was brought to the world. She brought the knowledge of advanced magics, and techniques to find and refine magical talent. With the magic power now added to the battlefield, the stalemate was broken. And for the first time, the demons were pushed back. Another thousand years later, and all of humanites hope for a final victory were dashed. Traitors slew the ritual's participants and took their places, and humanity quaked as The Demon King stepped into the world. His name, his nature, where he came from none of these are known, but what is known is his overwhelming power and his brilliant strategic leadership of the formerly formless hordes. Still, despite their position being even more dire than it has ever been since history has been recorded, humanity held on for another thousand years. Aided, thankfully, by The Demon King not taking the field after the first few years and battles. Now, the ritual is being cast again and a new hero is being summoned. In our world, after nearly three decades of study and hard work, Lucas Jaeger is making his dreams come true. With a double doctorate in both genetics and microbiology, as well as an associates degree in accounting, he has finally, after nearly driving himself mad from stress and sick from overwork, been able to put to together a presentation and ask for a business loan. His long time dream, earned by his own blood and sweat, to start his own commercial genetic company is finally coming to fruition. Lucas's car never left the banks parking lot and Lucas was never seen again in our world. This is a rewrite of "A Broken World."
