A fragment of the floor broke under Matthew's feet, as he nearly slipped and fell. Below, was a den filled with nothing but creatures that makes poisonous hissing sounds.

He stood on a single path, small and fragile, connecting from one end to the other. Yet, he was not afraid. He had some unknown confidence that he would be able to make it through easily. Without a single hesitation in his steps, Matthew made it past, and flicked the switch on the other end.

An arrow flew over , as he slightly leaned his body backwards to dodge the incomming arrow. It was as though he had already anticipated it several steps ahead.

Suddenly, he jumped.

The floor collapsed under him, as he shot a hook towards the direction he came from. As he fell, the hook flew. Just inches before hitting the snake's den underneath, his hook had successfully grabbed ahold of something on the other side. And he was easily elevated up back.

"Nice" Dominic complimented him.

Matthew stood, pleased. The stone wall that stood ahead of them, began to rumble. It dropped downwards, revealing a gigantic crossbow that fired towards them.

Immediately, the crouched down.

The arrow flew behind. Connecting a rope towards the lever where Matthew had been momments ago. The wall appeared to have been destroyed, revealing a staircase down to the next floor.

Matthew had used his magic once, and almost the entriety of the floor was dyed in a yellow glow. Luckily, the staircase was not. And neither was the rope.

In Matthew's experience, this seemingly normal dungeon has already far trenscended even the S rank dungeon he had been in. It was possible that it could be even a SSS rank dungeon.

The two lightly treaded upon the rope, as they set the staircase as their next resting point.

"How long has it been?" Matthew thought.

His map revealed Floor#38, as he laid down exhausted.

A month or so had probably passed.

A nice scented drifted into Matthew's nose, as he noticed Dominic begin to cook once more.

He had tasted Dominic's food since the day they entered the Dungeon. And in all honesty, it was rather thrilling for him. To have his life been put on the balance countless times, he had alot of oppurtunities to hone his skills. And what was more suprising, was that the person he brought appeared to not even fall short a single momment.

His small knife had changed into one with a rather intresting golden glow. It had the ability to pass through rocks, and when a bit of mana was applied, the tip became solid once again. A very expensive knife he would never dream of aqquiring with his puny allowance anytime soon in his lifetime. His account balance as well, had grown at a strange rate.

Meanwhile, Dominic was having his own fun watching Matthew struggle and grow, as well as exploring the Dungeon. It was the first time in his life he had been in one after all.

Mr David stood staring at the door. Day after day, he continued to try and enter. He had shot missles, lazers and even magic spells. However, the door refused to budge.

Normally, a dungeon of an SS rank or above would transport the person who touched the door to a random location, yet...

The Dungeon is full. 2 official participants have already been confirmed : Matthew & Dominic.

That was the constant message spamming his notifications each and everyday.

"Damn. If only I was more careful!" he lamented.

Even if he was an ex-assasin, he was still a teacher at a rather respectable school. And he found the job as the love of his life. Matthew, as side charaterish as he could be, was still one of the precious students he taught.

The city had already sent alot of man power and resource to penetrate the barrier of the dungeon, however it all appeared to be for naught.

In the end, seeing as both of them still has siblings, they were in a sense, abandoned by the city.

The groups with the members inside were given privellages to stay back in the city to either give them a funeral, or await hopefully for their return. While Mr David continues to blame himself for letting them go alone.

Dominic's siblings did the later, while Matthew's funeral procession was already in the process.

The scene changes into a certain room where a single photo of Matthew was placed atop a white clothed table. His parents stood aside dressed in black with his younger sister, as everyone wearing black suits offered consulation money or some sorts of gifts, as they nodded towards the empty coffin where Matthew's supposedly dead body was supposed to lie.

"His alive. He must be" Benedict gripped his fist, as he offered words of consulation to the parents.

The parents looked at him, realizing that his brother was the one with Matthew, they could only smile warmly with some tears in their eyes.

Matthew's sister at a ripe age of 4 had no idea what was going on.

"Is brotda com min back from the hol-day?" the sister asked, looking at his photo on the table. Young and naive, with no idea what was going on. Her words could only bring her parents to tears.

"Yes, he'll be back soon dear" the mother kneeled down and told her daughter with a gentle smile.

Various adventurers came to offer a few words, as the closer ones offered to stay behind with them. Perhaps to drink a little after this.

They still remembered a young child folllowing along and suprisingly keeping up in their adventures.

"To think that he would leave before us..." an adventurer sighed.

"Slime slime!" Matthew's sister called out, as she tried to hug Bob. Which was strolling alongside Mitsuha in a small shrunk down form.

When Michelle and Titania heard of the news, Michelle burst into some sort of strange paranoia and attempted to enter the dungeon. Yet, even as a god, she was unable to do so. Titania couldn't care.

"Having fun in a dungeon without me?!" was what she thought. She then deducted points of Dominic in her head.

Risha never thought that Dominic would die, hence she only offered words of consulations to Matthew's parents. Usagi, having known both of them just mourned and cried. Mentally, she was rather weak.
