《Biomancer: Songs of Sirens》Redemption in Gray

--------------------------------------

I can't believe it...Our Empire. Everything I've ever done. It was all for nothing. I fight for a corrupt and greedy government. Even with all of battles I've suffered from Altiese to Gargell. I've killed hundred of this world's citizens all because I believed I was doing the right thing.

Anguish explodes from my chest as the realization sinks sharpened fangs into my throat. I set Allure upon two of my plated tails while I sit upon two of the other ones while holding my weight with the other two. Using them reminds me of using tentacles back at the academy. Everyone despised the course involving using limbs without fingers, but I relished in it.

Yet I used those same skills for tormenting a world at the brink of ruin. I grab the sides of my head in my hand as I clasp my eyes shut. I whisper,

"What have I done."

Allure leans over grabbing the side of my face as she pulls my head upwards. She whispers soothing songs, so I swallow my suffering as I crick my neck. My grieving can happen later. I say towards the other thralls of Gorge, "Is their a pool of water were we can rest?"

The hulking red one says, "Ah...yes. Right this way. The blue one stares at me with a vile hatred as her face wrinkles in anger while the green one cringes in fear. I conquered his control of the tank as he tried controlling me through the liquid. He held his own longer than I imagined he would, but he's no warrior whether it comes to wills or blows.

We walk through one of three doors lining the back of the pulsing room where they stored me as we funnel past small hallways. They expand as we shift passed them repulsing me, but Allure pokes the moist walls with a morbid curiosity. She's still new to this world, so she doesn't own any common sense.

I enjoy her airy nature. She's spontaneous, and that excites me in more ways than one. After passing through another room with a massive heart pulsing with enough force to siphon blood through the entire building, we reach a room above it with several pools of steaming water. The ugly floor transforms into well polished concrete before we walk beside the tub of bubbling water.

The scene strikes me as surreal. The pool holds several lilies at the side of its expanse while the sudden shift from organic horror house to serene pool accentuates the alienating force of the atmosphere. Allure doesn't mind the sudden shift however since she pushes off my tails falling into the water with a splash.

Her awkward clumsiness above land vanishes as her underwater elegance appears. Even with limited pool space, she drifts through the water spiraling as she displays her excitement. I shrug before I say, "Thank you. What was your name again?"

He raises his eyebrows as he says, "Uh...me?"

I look around the room before I say, "Yeah. You."

He blinks several times before saying in his deep voice, "I'm Bordore."

I reach out a hand saying, "It's good to meet you Bordore."

He reaches out his hand without grabbing mine as he stands with a rigid, unbending erectness. I raise my eyebrows as I lower my hand saying, "So I'm assuming all human customs were thrown out of the window by Gorge."

His posture relaxes as he says, "She has a way of hating humans more than anything else."

I squint my eyes as I say, "She didn't show that hatred towards me. She may have changed somewhat."

He shakes his head before he says, "Or you may not be human. It's hard to say...I doubt Gorge will come back here for the rest of the day as she tends to become...emotional...Please, do not break anything. This place means a lot to Gorge."

I grin as I say, "Of course not. I'll see you around Bordore."

He nods before saying, "Let's hope. Gorge seemed...angry."

He turns pacing with wide steps before I wade knee deep in the warm water. The heat singes my skin with a pleasant pain, and Allure dashes from underwater pulling me down with a frantic jerk. I could stop my fall with my new limbs, but I choose to fall to her desires before the sultry seductress says, "Back in the water. Finally."

I lay on my back as she pushes me against the floor 10 feet beneath the water. She says, "I know you feel sad from earlier."

The barbs of guilt return as I avert her gaze, but she grabs my hair pulling my face towards hers with a gentle tug as she says, "I remember being alone in that pool for what felt like an eternity, and whenever you found me, a single thought crawled around the corners of my mind - how much time have I lost?"

I open my mouth releasing the air in my lungs before I breath in water remembering my own limitations underwater. She continues with a voice like silk, "I know, it isn't about the time I've spent. What matters is how I spend it now...your the same. you may have done evil, but you can change. You can do what's right."

I lower my gaze before she presses her voluptuous chest against mine saying, "You know, I like this brooding soldier look you've got going."

I roll me eyes before she leans her head towards mine easing towards me with a slow, careful approach before our lips lock. The sadness dissipates as fire takes it place. She slides her hand down my side as I nuzzle my right hand into her hair. My hands guide themselves across her body as she whispers with her tattoos glowing,

"I'll steal your sadness away...I'll steal everything."
