“What classes did you choose?”
Aruna withdrew her card and then swiped it twice with her hand. A light shone from the card and a hologram appeared with information about her subjects.

“Magic? What the… That’s not scientific at all.” Lucifs eyes were wide as he stared at the subjects she chose.
“Hmm, what? You didn’t know about magic?”
“Of course not, how can magic possibly exist? That doesn’t make any sense.”
Luar waved her hand in a circle and a fireball appeared in her hand. Seeing this scene almost made Lucif drop his marbles. In a world of science there was something so unscientific such as this? He was starting to doubt whether this world and his were the one in the same.
“Hehe, well it looks like I get to be the one to teach you. Come, let’s go to the magic fighting grounds.”
Luar lead them to another Skyboard spot and they flew through the air towards a set of giant pearly gates. The gates were open and at the front were two people sitting on the side with a bunch of papers stack besides them. On the front of the gates in golden lettering were the words ‘Dueling Arena’.
“Next…”
The line was quite long and it took them 15 minutes to get to the front, lucky the line moved quite fast.
“Reason for visit?”
“To spectate.”
“Okay, scan your cards and go on in.”
They scanned their cards and a sound was heard, “Insufficient funds, please top up and then try again.”
The two men at the front turned and looked towards Lucifer with a look of anger in their eyes. But before they could say anything Luar jumped out in front.
“Sorry, he is new and doesn’t know the rules. I will pay for him, please let this go for now.”
When they saw the purple colored hue of her gem their expressions changed greatly. “O..of course madam, it was our mistake for not recognizing that he was a new student. We offer our apologies.”

After they were inside Luar looked at him and said, “Why don’t you have any points on your card?”
“Ahh, it glitched? Adela says I have to wait for the principal to return before I can get it fixed and have my school points added.”
“Ah, that makes sense. Next time, you have to remember that all the facilities here use school points. Points can be earned by completing task or achieving certain merits. They can also be exchanged at a rate of 1 credit per 2 points but points can’t be exchanged for credit so take note of that.”
As Lucif listened to her, he decided to open his gem again. He rubbed his hand over it and the hologram appeared once more.

As he looked over the information again, he noticed that his overall rank had increased in number. He had dropped another 10,000 ranks. That means another 10,000 people had taken the test somewhere in the Universe and risen above him.
"I have 5.6 credits, where did my credits come from?"
"Your credits are connected to your ID card. 1 credit is worth $985 of Planet Almega's currency. The value of the currency changes all the time and this automatically converts it to the international space currency which we call credits."
They continued to walk forward, inching closer step by step.
“Ah we are here…”
They continued to walk through the corridor and as they got closer to the end, the sounds of clashing weapons and explosions could be heard.
“Are my eyes deceiving me?”
What stood in front of them were a large row of seats in the shape of a colosseum. There were a few thousand people wandering around and watching the matches. In the colosseum were 5 or 6 stages all separated by some sort of force field.
The competitors were jumping through the air, launching various attacks at their opponents. On the stage directly in front of them was a burly young man facing off against a small twig sized alien. The burly man threw fireball after fireball at the twig but they continued to miss. The fireballs instead smashed into the ground creating a small explosion.

The twig like alien gave a deep meow and its skin turned hard and formed into layers like a bamboo shoot. His body shot into the ground like a spade and dug deeper and deeper until his head was completely gone. Not more than 5 seconds later, from the ground grew various large bamboo shoots. They flew straight towards the burly man. Although they were made of wood, they seemed extremely fire resistant as his fireballs couldn’t damage them in the slightest.
The bamboo streamed through the air and stabbed the burly man through his neck, it happened so fast he was unable to dodge. Another shoot stabbed through his back while another carved a hole right through his stomach. He fell to the ground, no longer a living being but a bloody corpse.
A sound echoed over the arena as an announcement was made, “Andrew Macklemore has fallen in battle to Heckatopple Bamboora. Heckatopple has replaced Andrew Macklemore on the overall rankings.”
In the air a hologram appeared and on it had a bunch of names. But highlighted in gold was Andrew Macklemore with a rank of 122,131,131 which dropped down one rank to 122,131,132 pushing everyone beneath him down one rank as well. In the empty space above his name appeared Heckatopple Bamboora which now held his previous rank.
‘A daylight murder and no one bats an eye, how interesting…’ Lucif thought to himself.
Luar turned her head to look away. She wasn’t a fan of the blood and murder.
“W…what was that?” Aruna and Ambrosia were speechless. They had seen their fair share of murders before but that magic was something else. It was something they had never seen before, but magic here seemed as common as grass. Everywhere they looked people were using magic.
“H..how is this possible?” They were all thinking the same thing.
“You sure are country bumpkins.” Luar kissed and poked her tongue out at them.
“To you, it might seem like there is some heaven defying trick behind it but it’s simple really. Atoms!”
“Atoms?” Lucif knew what atoms were but that still didn’t explain it. The two girls had no clue what an atom was so they were even more clueless.
“Yes, did you know that atoms are made up of 99.9999999999996% empty space? Well, hundreds of years ago a genius scientist figured out a way to remove that empty space within the atoms and push them closer together. Once they are close together they break and sometimes fuse but he found a way passed that. He found a way to store over a trillion atoms into the space of a single atom.”
“Of course, that in and of itself is pretty incredible but the process evolved even more over the years. That same human scientist who hundreds of years ago created this process developed another amazing revolution in scientific advancement. He connected this process to the brain.”
They still gave dull looks because they didn’t really understand.
“Are you telling me he lived for hundreds of years? A human lived for hundreds of years?”
Luar nodded her head in response, “Yes, he also invented Biological Immortality.”
“Immortality?!”
Lucifs loud shout in response almost made Luar jump in freight. He had heard about the Immortals from his exam proctor but he never thought that he could ever become one. He was almost drooling at the thought of Immortal ascension.
“W..why are you so surprised?”
Seeing Luars scared expression Lucif took a step back and adjusted his posture and facials. One of his longest held wishes was to extend his life as much as possible but unfortunately he was born in a time before the secret to aging was figured out. How could he not be incredibly surprised and excited by her words? If he was immortal then the empire he had built would have never fallen and instead of the UCA it would be the Pivac Mafia, the Pivac Dynasty ruling the galaxy.
