Chapter 23: Sennerth’s Prophecy

The next day, we continued our journey back to the castle.

After some light breakfast, we set out and reached the castle just before lunch.

The King hosted a feast for the return of the students and also as an apology for suddenly taking them.

It’s nice to have such a reasonable King…

“Well then, it’s time to take you all back.”

“Um, it might be late asking this but, how exactly do we get back? How did you come here anyway?”

The ponytail girl, who’s apparently called Mai Shiratori, asked as she tilted her head in confusion.

Her twin sister, Mii Shiratori, still had an expressionless face but also looked at me in curiosity.

The other students also nodded as if they were also wondering the same thing.

“Well, let’s just say I have the key to the world.”

I smiled mysteriously and took out the [World Key].

“[World Gate, Open]! [Earth]!”

A gate made out of light condensed in front of me and opened.

There are two ways to use the [World Key] as far as I know.

One, I could use it to cover myself in light which would have the same effect as logging in and out in the game so it could be used as a disguise whenever I appear in [Harus]. Though only I get to pass through it and I wouldn’t be able to bring anyone.

The other way is like this. Condensing a gate which will permanently open unless I close it myself.

“Alright then, we-”

“Wait.”

Just as I was about to go, the King suddenly spoke and stopped me.

“Is there something?”

“Take this King and Aleris with you as well. No matter what, we have taken you all without any consent and this King now realizes his mistake. For that, I wish to make an apology to your world.”

Surprised, I looked towards Aleris who just smiled and nodded.

I thought about it for a while then agreed.

“Thank you, your Highness. Well then, please follow me.”

They all nodded and appeared nervous and excited.

I passed through the gate first then had the students and teacher follow.

After being engulfed in a bright light, the surroundings dimmed and we all saw a familiar room.

“We’re back!”

“Japan! We’re finally back home!”

“Wah! I never thought I’d miss this classroom so much!”

One after the other, the students let out excited voices and some of them started tearing up.

Suddenly, the people who were originally in the room all reacted as well.

I didn’t think that after a day, these reporters still came back today. I see Trask’s here too.

“It’s the students!”

“Mr. Knight has brought back the students!”

“Is the camera rolling!?”

“Reporting LIVE from the scene. Mr. Knight, the famed superhero of the Philippines, arrived yesterday and disappeared in a flash of light! Today, this masked hero has come back and appeared from what appears to be a gate of light! Along with him were the students who were said to have disappeared 3 days ago when a freak incident happened.”

“34 students and a teacher had gone missing 3 days ago due to unexplainable events. Today, Mr. Knight has brought back...30, no, 29 students, the teacher, and two foreign people. Ah, there seems to be a...horned rabbit? Mr. Knight has brought along a horned rabbit with him!”

“Mr. Knight! Can you explain to us what has happened here? Furthermore, where are the remaining 5 students?”

The reporters began to talk nonstop and some had even started pulling the students for an interview.

Seeing this, I hurriedly tried to stop them.

“Everyone, before you began asking your questions, there is someone I would like to introduce.”

As expected, the reporters quieted down and focused on me.

“Before I introduce them to you, I would like to inform you some facts about what happened. Outside of our world, [Earth], there are plenty more worlds in the universe. Worlds with intelligent life form like humans living within them. Now, three days ago, the whole class was summoned to another world, [Sennerth]. This is a world where magic and monsters exist.”

In order to prove this to them, I manipulated the light around us and scattered small balls of light in the classroom, creating a beautiful spectacle.

I also showed them Vil, the horned rabbit.

The room was full of gasps and surprise as the reporters began mentioning to the viewers that this is LIVE footage and is 100% not video editing.

“Now then, I present to you, The [Sennerth] Human Kingdom’s King and his daughter, the princess.”

Actually, I’m a little worried.

I wonder if they could actually understand each other?

I mean, I can understand either side since I have cheat body with auto-translation but for the others…

Well, the students can understand the language of the other world...though they might also have language cheats.

After introducing them, the King and Aleris stepped forward as Aleris spoke.

“My name is Aleris, the princess of the Human Kingdom of our world, [Sennerth]. This is my father, King Henry of the Human Kingdom.”

After that, Aleris bowed slightly then moved behind the King.

King Henry observed the people of our world and seemed interested in the machines they held.

Noticing his looks, I explained.

“Your Highness, these people are called ‘reporters’. They are people tasked with delivering the news to the people through ‘television’. To put things simply, the machines they’re holding can pass your message throughout the world.”

Aleris and the King both looked surprised and impressed.

“I remember you saying that your world does not have magic at all, this means that you have achieved such technology without the help of magic?”

Aleris asked in wonder.

“Yes.”

“Wonderful!”

Finally, the King spoke.

He looked at the cameras the cameramen held and his expression changed.

How to say this...it’s like he no longer has that uncle-like feeling from before and had changed completely.

This is the air of a King!

“To everyone watching this, This King is here on behalf of our world, [Sennerth], to apologize for summoning these kids without consent. Mr. Knight here has told us that there are no monsters in this world so I imagine that your world is relatively more peaceful than ours. Our world has been in a war against the Demon race. There was a prophecy from our world. One day, when the demons had become so powerful that the three allied races can no longer manage them, we are to summon a group of young heroes...and as the result of that summoning, the one true [Sennerth’s Hero] will emerge, and save our world.”

The King paused and looked deeply at the students watching at the side.

As for me, I had been feeling uneasy for a while now. Especially when the word ‘prophecy’ came up again.

“But it was merely our misunderstanding of the prophecy. The hero in the prophecy is not with these children, but to the man who had come to our world because we summoned them.”

King Henry suddenly looked towards me and smiled.

“Just as the prophecy had mentioned. ‘A knight from another world will emerge. The one true Sennerth’s Hero.’”

“And for that, this King is truly sorry for involving the children. As for the missing five children, they have all died.”

With the King’s sudden drop of the bomb, the reporters were all agitated again and started rapid-firing questions.

However, the King seems to have already expected this and answered calmly.

“During the summoning, the gods had given the children with powers. We had wanted to use these powers to train the children for the war with the demons. However, these five children had used the powers they were given by the gods to harm more people and had been involved with rape and murder. Instantly, the reporters went quiet again.

Well, it would be hard to believe things such as gods and demons for people in [Earth]. Actually, what the King said was also a lie as I was the one who had killed them.

“It’s true!”

“That’s right! Ren and the others used their powers to force us to submit!”

“Right! They even used me as a shield when we encountered monsters!”

“I can’t even do anything but scream when they raped me! They deserve to die!”

“Don’t question his Highness anymore! This was not his fault!”

“Those bastards just really deserved to die!”

One by one, the students were riled up and began covering for the King.

I don’t think they really cared for the King, rather, they simply wanted to vent out all the grief and pain they had endured until now.

Seeing this, the reporters were also silent and no longer pushed their questions.

After all, the student’s expressions are already seen in the camera and this was even LIVE feed to them so there was no chance of cutting this scene later.

Suddenly, Trask cut in and shooed the reporters out.

Then, the Japanese old man to his side called out to the students.

“My name is Saraga Yoshihatsu. CEO of the [IDEA] Japan branch and council member of the [Gatekeeper] organization. Children, and teacher, it is a fact that all of you still have your powers. Please follow us so we can fully record your powers.”

“You’re not gonna...experiment us, are you?”

“No. Please be at ease. We simply want to refrain any further damage.”

Saraga then looked toward the loner who’s still being held with strange handcuffs.

“That guy wrecked havoc in the other world but I managed to stop him before he killed anyone. That’s a magic handcuff from [Sennerth] that prevents him from using his powers.”

“Ah, I see.”

Saraga nodded and led everyone outside.

“Ah, wait. Can I take these two with me for a bit? I promised them I’ll try to heal their mother and help their father.”

“Well, alright. Then, just send them to the [IDEA] corporation building when you’re done.”

I nodded then turned towards the King and Aleris.

“I’ll send you two back first?”

“Ah, about that. I wonder if your Highness is willing to stay a bit longer? We would like to need your help on some matters.”

Trask asked.

“Alright. This King will stay. Aleris, you go back first.”

“Well...alright.”

“Please do not worry Princess. We will not harm the King.”

Aleris nodded and looked back to me.

Knowing she’s uneasy about letting her father stay, I nodded to her to reassure her.

Aleris sighed and went back to [Sennerth].

“Well then, you two. Which hospital is your mother at? Just point the general direction.”

I looked towards Mai and Mii and asked then grabbed the two and [Blinked] towards the direction they pointed at.

In no time at all, we reached the hospital their mother was and snuck into her room.

“Alright, let’s try this. [Heal], [Cure]!”

Let’s hope it works…

Light green light and light blue light converged together and covered their mother.

After a while, the light settled down and their mother awoke.

“Mom!”

“Eh? Mai, Mii. How come you’re here? Who is this...man?”

“Mom, it’s good that you’re awake!”

The mother was confused at first but after being hugged by her two daughters, she settled down and listened to their explanation.

She’s still a bit overwhelmed at what happened but thanked me nonetheless.

I nodded towards her then contemplated.

Well, I’m in a hospital anyway. Might as well heal all the patients here if possible.

I released the light green and light blue aura from [Heal] and [Cure] then manipulated them to pass through from room to room.

For each room the lights passed, a patient was healed and my [Holy] element points also increased along with my skill proficiency.

After completely passing through all the rooms, my [Holy] element was already at 120 and, for some reason, my Wanderer class had leveled up...speaking of which, I still haven’t used my status points...I’ll just dump it all to LUK as usual.

My [Charm] stat also increased by 50...seriously, I don’t need much more of this stat!

“Alright, I’ll have to hand the two of you back to the [Gatekeepers].”

Mai nodded and showed a picture on her phone.

The stupid henchman opened the door and questioned.

“Behind you.”

The henchman collapsed on the floor, unconscious.

The other henchman blinked stupidly and actually stared at me for a long time.

“I warned him right?”

“Yeah...wait, who-”

Aaaaand, he’s out.

Well, that’s that. Time to deal with the others.

*Vii~*

“Want to play too Vil?”

“Alright, let’s play!”

Together with Vil, we raided the abandoned building and a strange scene was formed.

A man in a business suit with a modern looking knight’s helmet, together with a light blue rabbit with a horn, against an army of yakuza.

Strange right?

What’s more, Vil is happily jumping about, stabbing people here and there.

Luckily, I told her not to kill them so the criminals only bled a bit but if Vil was allowed to kill, her horn would’ve stabbed their hearts very easily. Both literally and figuratively.

I really don’t get how something so cute can still be cute after stabbing a bunch of people…

“Alright. Last room. Come on Vil.”

“...Vil, a rabbit holding a gun might be cute but please drop that, you can’t even grip it properly…”

Reluctant, Vil dropped the pistol she’s holding and hopped back on my head.

Sensing that the people beyond the room is panicking and are all pointing their guns at me, I sneered and created a blast of wind to force the door open while sending a huge gust of wind into the room.

The criminals faltered and some dropped their guns.

These guys were easily dealt with Vil by jumping on their faces and stabbing their hands.

With another wave of a hand, the remaining criminals were dealt with another gust of wind.

“Are you Mr. Shiratori?”

“W-who’s asking!? Yes! Yes I am! Please save me!?”

Though he was still covered with a sack on his head, he wasn’t stupid enough to have not figured something was happening and that the criminals who took him are now in trouble.

But still, it’s good to know that he’s the one I was looking for and not someone who looks somewhat like him.

Otherwise, this would be really embarrassing.

“Alright. Just stay there for a while. I’ll deal with these guys.”

“Don’t you dare!”

Suddenly, the criminal boss shouted while holding a lighter in his hands.

Hm? Ah, there seems to be gasoline spread out on the floor. I guess these guys were originally planning on burning Mai and Mii’s father.

Oh, there’s some bombs at the corners too.

“Haha, you noticed right? Make another step and I’ll drop the lighter and light everything up!”

“...You’re really an idiot, are you? Why are you holding that lighter so high up in the air? How long will it take for it to reach the ground? I can deal with you immediately and catch it afterward.”

The criminal boss faltered and thought for a bit before lowering his hand and crouching down.

“There you go. Now you’re thinking.”

“Shut up! I will seriously light the place up!”

“Oh, please. By all means.”

“You…! Hmph! You really think I wouldn't dare!? Die!”

Annoyed, the criminal boss lit up the gasoline underneath him and the fire began to spread, reaching the bombs, and the whole place exploded...is not what happened at all.

The fire didn’t spread at all and seems to have only circulated the criminal boss instead.

“W-what’s-!?”

“Oh, I can control fire. Right now, I’m controlling it so it doesn’t spread. After I leave with Mr. Shiratori here and reach a certain distance, I will lose control and the fire will start to spread on its own. Well then, Mr. Shiratori, let’s leave.”

The criminal boss paled and suddenly began to kneel and beg.

Seeing the crying and begging criminal boss, I laughed.

The criminal boss fell to the ground, unconscious.

I then dispersed the fire with water from...well, a water bottle.

“Alright. Let’s get you home Mr. Shiratori.”

“O-okay.”

“Ah, oops. I forgot. Let’s take these bombs too.”

Thinking it might come in handy, I took the bombs in my [Inventory] then led Mai and Mii’s father out.

After a while, police sirens could be heard driving towards the abandoned building but I no longer minded it and simply kept going to the hospital.

“Father delivery. Anyone ordered a father?”

“Father!”

“Dear!”

I already healed him on the way so he’s completely fine being hugged by the three beauties.

Grr, what a lucky guy.

By the way, no one reacted to my joke at all…
