Lucas was confused as he felt his senses slowly come back and found himself rolled up into a very tight space.

“Shit… she stuffed me in an egg.” he cursed and sighed, “Who ever heard of starting as an infant in a VR game?” he thought.

He knew he was in that egg he saw but where he was currently was unknown. He began to try and feel his surroundings, what he found was that he had no legs, no claws, fingers or anything resembling a human besides two fingerless arms which had the elbow joint and wrist joint but his hand was unformed. He also found he had a bit head and moving it about he felt he had two hard objects on his head.

“I need to get out.” he thought but since he didn’t have barely any strength or natural weapons he decided to try to use his horns. He was in an awkward position so he could only use his tail to push and make a small movement.

The sound was actually louder then expected but it didn’t do much. He kept doing that until he felt tired but he did start feeling cracks.

Crack!

After resting he started to hit again until his right horn finally formed a sizable crack.

At that time, fresh air entered the egg.

“AHH! MY NOSE! WHAT IS THIS STINK!?” he cursed as a wretched stench entered his nose as the ‘fresh’ air entered the shell.

Of course the new air fueled his body and his next hit caused the crack to expand making more of the horrid air enter. He spent close to an hour after that to finally break a bit enough hole to slid out. His eyes were hurting from the change in lighting but as he grew accustomed, his eyes opened and was able to look around.

What he found was that edge of a small boiling lake of some kind of material. As he looked around, he found that around him were other creatures. Five of them to be exact.

They were all skinny and had red skin and big disproportioned heads.

Now to explain your situation. The Demon Lord race and class are a special race, different from other players, the Demon lord is a special type Support Class which one can gain by founding a kingdom or being born into it. Different from other classes, Demon lord are born incredibly weak that said, their mental abilities are very high and even a newborn is as smart as a newly pubicent human. They also have a special ability to gather demons with low intelligence to do their bidding. Infant Demon lords, by the time they are born, will usually have between 3-5 demons who were attracted and bound by your powerful mental abilities and are your first minions.

That said, these are the lowest tier trash type demons who children would train with at an early age because of their low lethality but in the hands of an intelligent demon, they have a high growth rate and evolution rate. These minions are completely classless so they are very weak but that will change with their growth.

Now onto the abilities of a Demon Lord, as you probably noticed, your entire body is that of an undeveloped baby, this is because Demon Lords which have not put down their Demon Heart, the core of their nation and power, would not be able to call themselves lords and grow. Even basic management and recruitment of minions cannot be done without placing it, that said, you cannot place it down at any random place.

You are currently 2 kilometers from the Hellish Badlands, the most inhospitable place. To place your Demon Heart, you must head into the Hellish badlands and find a powerful Mana node, or Mana Spring as known by most races, in which you plant your Demon Heart. By placing your heart in the Hellish Badlands, you will incorporate the hellish aura of the badlands allowing you to grow the path of a powerful and evil Demon lord.

Lucas read all this and frowned, he turned his head a bit before he felt his horns feel a tug and looked towards a lit up side of the sky. This was a slight tug that the system placed to guide him but he frowned, “I don’t want to be an evil Demon Lord.” He said and turned to one of the demons, “Pick me up.” he said. His voice was developed but high pitched. The demon walked over and picked him up roughly, “No! Don’t pull my tail, carry me in both hands!” he said and pulled his tail out as best he could and the demon slowly modified it's form and carried him like a baby.

He waited a while and soon he felt a weaker tug coming from the opposite direction from the badlands, it headed towards a range of mountains. There was no way around it because the badlands were completely surrounded by them on all sides. “You all, we are going that way.” He said and the demons began to walk the way he said.

Now we shall continue our introduction of the Demon Lord Race.

The next important fact that should be known is that the Demon lord race does not develop in the same way that other races do. The strength and power of a demon lord is based off the development of their minions. In the same way, the minion’s power comes from their lord because you can control their stat distribution. Either placing specific stat distribution to happen automatically or you doing it manuely, you have this power over your minions.

The stats of common beings are the following:

Strength: The stat which represents physical power and the ability to lift objects. One point of strength will give strength equal to 5 kilo of weight in both force and lifting power.

Constitution: This stat represents the physical development, or the health and health regeneration of one's body. One point in Constitution will give 10 hp and 5 hp/m. In combat, this drops to 2 hp/m in combat.

Dexterity: This is the stat which represents the precision in using the body. This is, how well one can control and use their body to do more delicate tasks.

Agility: This is the stat which represents the speed which one can move with their body. One point will increase the max speed by 2 km/h.

Intelligence: This is the stat which represents your magical ability and thinking speed. One point will give 10 mp to your maximum.

Wisdom: This is the stat which represents your magical regeneration. One point increases your regeneration by 5 mp/m. In combat this becomes 2 mp/m.

Charisma: This is the stat which represents your commanding power and charm towards other beings. For Demon lords, Charisma has a special function which is where one point in charisma will give 0.1% buff to primary class stat of chosen minions.

Each stat will produce different results in the minions changing their form as the stats increase, that said all the demon minions right now are all the same.

Lucas trembled when he saw his own stats. He was used to the common 10 base stat board. He had never see 0 in the status table before. It left him with an incomprehensible feeling of depression.

Don’t be depressed though, as i said, your power is linked to you minions. Demon lord isn’t a combat class but a support class. You can lead the demons in tactic hunting and swarming. That said, be warned because leveling demons is a much harder endeavor because they don’t have a party or swarm system. The demon race, a being known for being evil, is cursed with the system where the last one to hit and kill the target gets all the experience points. Training skills and eating does not produce experience points either. This makes the growth much slower and have a clear gap between those who level up earlier and are stronger.

Do not worry because as the Master of the minions, as long as you command the hunting demons, you will receive experience points. You will receive 25% of the experience that your minions gain if they are under your direct command, on the other hand, you will receive only 0.1% of experience from minions you aren’t directly ordering the attack.

As the screen vanished, 100 meters away, a light flashed and a large dog sized hare appeared and stood up on its hind legs looking around. It dropped down and walked around randomly.

Looking at the tutorial that was first, he wasn’t really content but he knew this was needed all the same.

“Put me down.” he said and the stupid demon literally dropped him making him groan, he was already dreaming of the day he could walk himself.

After slowly trying to fix himself up and using his tail like snakes did, in this case curling up to form a small support for his upper body, he looked at his minions.

There was absolutely no difference among them and he sighed. “You three, find small stones that fit in your hands. You two look for larger heavy stones that you need two hands to lift. Then bring them back and make a small pile of both.” he ordered the five minions. They spread out under his commands. The one that gathered small rocks gathered them faster and could hold ten stones because each stone was 1 kilo each but they were all rocks that fit in their hand just right and could be thrown.

Soon the other two arrived with a large rock that was 5 kilos each.

“Alright, you three carry 10 rocks and come this way. You two follow while carrying those two rocks.

Uncurling his body and literally crawling like a baby, he made them follow until they were 20 meters. The Badlands Hare suddenly noticed them and dropped down, its figure suddenly became more savage, the hair spiked out and it began to snarl revealing the fangs and short claws formed on its paws.

When the first rocks hit the hare, an HP bar appeared with 19/20 showing. The rocks only took 1 damage but other rocks began to pelt down. It snarled and began to punch at the incoming rocks and ran, at the same speed as the demons, towards the incoming enemy.

It growled and opened its jaws and jumped to attack the heads.

“One of you throw the rocks!” Lucas shouted. Suddenly the left demon tossed the 5 kilo stone which hit right in the face of the hare stunning it after taking 6 damage, which was a critical for hitting a weak point. “Now smash it!” Lucas ordered.

“GYRA!” the other demon shouted and smashed down the stone reducing the hp bar to 8. At that time, the two suddenly attacked with their claws and in the matter of moments the hp drained.

A tiny blue flame came out of the dead hare and entered the right demon.

Congratulations on your first successful hunt. As you can see, in some cases monsters will vanish and drop items. In normal cases, common monster bodies will drop loot around its body unless it is equipment, in which case it will become an equipment box. As it can be seen, there are three craft types. The craft system is for handmade crafts which can be made with few tools and skills. This also includes common craft jobs regarded as handicraft jobs.

Alchemy is used by Alchemists, Runesmiths, Synthesizers and any job which combines materials with magic.

Smithing is used by blacksmiths, runesmiths and other jobs which require any form of smithing which uses ore materials or crystals to make.

Only the craft system can be accessed without tools (only in sections which don’t require tools.)

You will find two tutorial items you can make with your loot. One of which has a one time effect. Please make both to try out the system.

He pressed the craft system and it opened to hand crafting, tailoring and other hand based crafts or material preparation processes but these needed tools like leather making.

Strength increases muscle mass, constitution improves bone development and density, agility improves muscle and joint flexibility, dexterity relate to the development and control of the nerves, intelligence relates to the development of the brain and the size of the mana pool, wisdom is represented, in a demon, by the horn size, lastly charisma is expressed in ones aura or appearance in the form of one's charm.

Now head to the mana spring of your choice. Please note that mana springs have size differences and they also attract creatures. You are still in tutorial mode and will only encounter monsters as high as level 5 but at the same time you can only find small or small-medium sized mana springs. Please note that you can only plant 2 demon heart per level and the first one is your capital and all other hearts are connected to the main heart.
