Lucas continued on with his five demon minions and as he walked, he could feel the tug grow stronger. Because it was tutorial, there weren’t many monsters and he avoided most that they did see.

Eventually the group reached the place with where the source of the pull was coming from. The location was a random rocky flat space.

During the travels, the terrain changed from badlands to rocky mountains. Around their feet were lots of rocks and short vegetation. The flat space was half way down into a valley between a few mountains. For a small village it was a good place.

Congratulations for arriving at the designated mana spring. At this range, a demon lord can easily sense the center of the mana spring and plant his Demon heart to establish himself.

Warning, you are not required to choose this one and there are larger mana springs in better areas with more resource. That said, those places are protected by either packs or single powerful creatures. The choice is yours.

Lucas stopped and thought deeply. He could go on and find more suitable places or he could choose a safe place.

After a minute of deep though, he suddenly felt a faint tug on his horns. Each horn was feeling it going a different direction. It was much stronger but with it, a deeper sense of danger came instantly helping Lucas make up his mind.

“Greed is the downfall of man. I don’t even have enough minions to properly fight.” he said.

He ordered the demon to walk to the center zone and put him down.

On the ground, he crawled just a bit before reaching the exact center.

“Demon heart!” he said.

Woo!

In between his tiny fingerless hands, a small thumping crystal not even half a centimeter appeared with a strong red glow.

It slowly lowered into the ground and sank into it.

Congratulations, you have planted your Demon heart. You will now be given a name by the world’s gods. Before that, please name you capital city.

He smiled when he got to name his capital. He has always gone with one name for his capital every time. This name came about because of how insane he thought of the world and his policy is always a strong public order.

“The city name is Sanity.” he said.

The city name of your capital is now called “Sanity”.

The gods have chosen your name. From now on you are the Demon lord Akor

World notification

The rise of a new Demon Lord is upon us. May Demon Lord Akor have pity upon the poor and innocent.

“...” Lucas, or Akor, started at the notice and looked up at the sky, “What was that solemn death flag introduction for!?” he shouted into the heavens but got no answer.

WOOO!

Suddenly, from below, a red light shot up into the sky and burst releasing a wave into the world. As the energy returned to the ground, it began to enter Akor’s body.

His eyes popped open but his voice was trapped in his throat.

For placing your first demon heart your initial demon lord powers have been unlocked and your body will now undergo a period of rapid growth. For the safety of the player, you will fall into a hibernation state. During this time, your five minions will make the necessary facilities including the lord's house and demon nest.

Just as Akor finished reading he blacked out. Of course, due to it being a tutorial, the so called hibernation was simple a fast forward.

Soon he opened his eyes and found he was in a small cavernous building. When he turned around, he found a small crystal floating in the air. A faint red light around it slowly drew in a small stream from the ground below it and released the red light which would flow into Akor.

He looked down and was surprised by his own body changes. First off he was double his previous size. His torso had developed and his lower body had fully formed with two small feet. His arms were a bit longer and he had five baby sized finger. He looked like a 9 month old baby in size but as he stood up he felt his control was pretty good.

Of course, no matter how good he was his true height is 160 cm tall and he was barely 40 cm tall from head to feet. The size difference was too different and he began to waddle like a child.

Seeing how his status had increased and matched the minions, pretty much, now he waved the screen away.

Congratulations, you are now a true demon lord with your powers unsealed now that you have settled. With an official demon city setup, demons will be attracted and if you can win them over they will move in increasing your exp gain and more.

Now you are current in the Demon Lord’s house. It doesn’t look like much now but as your minions grow more skilled, you will gain the option to upgrade it.

Anyways, as you most likely noticed you stats have increased upon planting a demon heart. This is the secret of a Demon Lord, although it does not seem like much but these stats are bonus stats gained from the mana in the mana spring.

A small mana spring can give at most 1 or 2 stats for your physical stats and 3 or 4 to your charisma making your power more appealing to demons and making them more likely to follow you.

While we are on this, mana springs come in various sizes. Small, Small-Medium, Medium, Small-Large and Large. The number of stats gained from each spring is different and increases by different amounts on each size.

Managing minions is done in two methods. A single minion, which will allow you to create unique minions with their own stat setup or multiple minions which you choose various minions of the a group and distribute their stats all in the same manner. This can be very useful because demons are a competitive race towards each other. By having them be at the same stat in all stats, you can find out which demons are better than their peers.

Now going back, we shall view the Demon town menu.

Very different from the Minion management, Towns are more complex. The first one is the Minion quests. This is a very important tool because it is the only other method your minions can get experience points besides killing. That said, they only get half of the exp any other race would get from any quest they take but it doesn’t matter how many do the quest which is where the benefits come. Of course, in this case, the demon lord will not be able to gain experience himself because the quests can only be done by minions.

Territory resource is an overview of all the resource gathered by all the towns you control. When making major projects, you will tap into the territory resource but when making small projects, you will use the town resources. Town resources are the resources available in each town separately and as mentioned, it is used for town construction.

Town and Territory maps are used to view each respective locations. Town maps gives a closer view of the town indicating all the points of interests within the town such as the demon nests, the lord’s house, resource zones and more. Territory maps on the other hand show information gained from scouts and resource nodes. The Territory map can be used by the demon lord to set up jobs and quests for the minions to do outside of the town such as hunting or gathering resources. Each job set up in the territory map will be counted as a quest for the minions.

Last but not least, Town management is where you can access the main interface of the demon heart to set up building projects and upgrade buildings using the system. When a construction is set up, a minimum number of minions will move to build it. If the construction is too complex for the minions, it will require smarter minions to oversee the project as the project master.

Akor turned to the door and wobbled about until he was able to reach the door. From the inside, it was like a blinding light but as he walked out, the light subsided and he could see the surroundings.

What he saw made him think of a camp instead of a village. His own house was a mound of dirt and rocks, with the house itself being dug out from the rocks and dirt below the mound. To the left was a strange pile of sticks and dried grass, which came from the surroundings which were cleared of all weeds and grass making an empty area, and a small round building made of grass and dirt which the demons were hanging around sleeping.

A demon town can be considered one of the hardest to develop, due to obvious reasons. That said, the ability to reproduce is also the best. First off, as an option that can been seen in the town management option, a demon has a 1:5 birth rate. This means that for every 5 members, 1 new demon will be born every day.

At the same time, there is a daily ‘spawn’ which comes from outside demons who are drawn by the mysterious power of the Demon heart. These demons can only be drawn in when you have a Demon hut (Imp) a house for the lowest tier demons, built and there is space for it as well as having 5 units of food in excess. This would be able to drawn in 1 demon for each set of 5 units of food.

As of right now, you village only has one demon hut (imp) capable of housing 10 demons (imp). A Demon nest which is the location which incubates the eggs of demons. Finally the lord’s house. The current minions can be used as you wish, you are now free to develop as you wish. The Tutorial period will last until the players reaches level 10.

Seeing that he was finally released from the tutorial, Akor sighed. He sat down and began to review everything he learned before standing up.

“Alright, so i need to reach level 10, that is a good loophole i guess. I bet there is a limit though like my minions levels.” He muttered and looked at the minions.

He walked back inside his home and went to the heart and opened the demon management and the town settings.

Finally he choose the Town management to start developing the town.

Looking at the list, he was actually very shocked when he saw that section about the fields. That said, after thinking about it, it did make sense because he needed a stable food source to feed the minions. Although they are known for eating anything, this works out in this case.

“Let’s start by making four fields.” He said and used all the wood in the village and choose four spaces just outside the clear space.

The space was square shaped and surprisingly this space began to glow on the map that opened but the demons didn’t even move.

Akor scratched his head before a light bulb lit in his head. He made sure the construction was confirmed and went to the Minion quest.

This was a rather novel feeling. An official quest given by a player, something usually restricted to npc towards humans.

He closed the screens and ran outside. In his view, he could see a space lit up and the demons were waking up with grumbles and gibberish grumbling.
