《The Undead Dungeon》Chapter 10 - No Loose Ends

"Mike, I'm an idiot aren't I?"
You just realized that now?
"Dammit Mike, I was waiting for comforting words rather than agreement."
What do you expect me to say? No, you're not an idiot for picking the Undead as a starting monster. Why do you ask anyway, something bothering you?
"Fair point, I need to think before I act. When I sent the undead to kill the owl, I didn't leave any undead to protect me. The only thing between me and death was two stalagmite traps."
That was pretty reckless, but I am also to blame for not noticing that. I am a bad dungeon assistant.
"Mike, don't sulk you're a great dungeon assistant and it's my turn to sulk, so why am I comforting you right now?"
I needed to divide my undead so that they can protect me, bring me mana, and also scout the area around my dungeon. I'll leave this task to my three trusty zombies. I'll let Butch handle protecting the dungeon since it looks like he doesn't like to move around, I'll let Frank in charge of bringing me mana because he is good at commanding the undead, and lastly I'll let Helen scout the surrounding area since she seems to be the fastest and most agile out of the three zombies.
Frank and Helen will need troops to help them in their mission. I need to add more undead so that all of this will finish smoothly. I've been dreading this day since I found out that I don't automatically understand my undead. I can talk to Helen, but I don't understand what she said, thankfully Frank understood what she said and can help translate for me. It's time to summon a skeleton.
"Mike how much mana do I have now?"

You currently have 32 Mana.
"Thanks, Mike"
I decided to summon a skeleton archer for 15 Mana. He looks average, and he's holding a wooden bow with a quiver strap across his back. After that, I call all of the undead to gather in the core room. When they all arrived in the core room, I explained my plan to them.
"Frank you will gather mana for me by hunting or harvesting the surrounding area. Bring this skeleton archer and death hound with you. Also here is a sword to help you in your mission." I summoned a short sword and a scabbard with a leather strap for 3 mana and gave it to Frank. He looks really happy.
"Master, I am honored that you trust me with this mission and thank you for the weapon," Frank said enthusiastically.
"Helen I'm entrusting you with the mission to search our surrounding area. Look for other guardians like the owl and also look for places of interest that might be useful for the dungeon and warn me if humanoid creatures get close to the dungeon. Here are some daggers it suits your combat style and brings a death hound so that you're not alone." I summoned two daggers with scabbards for 3 mana and gave it to Helen. Her eyes seem to sparkle.
"*clack* *clack* *clack* *clack* *clack* *clack*" said Helen.
"Frank what did Helen said?" I asked Frank looking confused. I really need to kill someone with a telepathy skill.
"She said I'll do my best my lord," Frank repeating what Helen said.
"Butch you'll defend this dungeon with Lucia and the other undead I'll expect you to lead and help them since technically you are the oldest."
"O...K Bo...ss," said Butch looking happy I guess? I can't tell what he's thinking since he is usually so quiet.

"Good luck everyone with your mission and remember to always be safe. Dismiss."
Everyone began doing their own thing. Frank lead the archer and death hound outside to search for mana. Helen also began walking outside while looking at her new daggers. Butch goes back to the graveyard and began to sleep. Looks like I'm forgetting something. Looking at Lucia I finally remembered. I killed a princess, it's been four days since she and those three men disappeared, people will start looking for them sooner or later.
I hurriedly called Helen back and sent her to scatter the rotten body parts in the forest, after adding a few scratches and bite marks on the corpses. I also put a severed head inside a leather bag to make it more convincing. Now I can feel slightly relieved with the evidence taken care of and hopefully no loose ends.
