《Trinpik》Volume 2 Ch. 7 Convoy

As we were walking out the front gates, Vionia reminded me that there were many villagers we promised a ride for, she then said that the king might want to go on a pursuit after we release the time.

Vin: You said you promised villagers a ride? Then why not take the wagons that belong to Azitium. Let’s not touch the other Emperors carriages since we don’t want to make them our enemy.

Salim: That’s a great Idea.

I could currently support only 10 beings including me in the Time Dilation. So I asked that Tio, Frick’s, Zet and Ruben sit on the wagon since I was going to take them out of the Time Dilation field. After they sat I did just as I said. Now there where 3 people and so we could support at least 7 horses. After rounding up 6 horses we connected them to the wagons, two horses per wagon and we led them out side the Palace. I then got the idea that I should take all of the wagons and horses. Talk about being greedy. Just how was I supposed to do that though?

I continued to expel them form time dilation. The horses that now were lined up one after another. The three of us where able to get nearly 24 horses that where now connected to 12 wagons that we found. Now comes the most interesting part.

I then brought everyone in on my plan. I was going release the time and we where going to try to ride out of town before the Emperors realized what has happened.

Since we were just out side the gates now. I even closed the gates then scaled the walls using their tall ladders.

Salim: Time Release.

You could hear a lot of shouts coming from the palace. I know the Emperors surprise would not end there. It was going to be even better when he discovers the vault open. I only had a grin the entire time we were leaving. Laughing loudly. I also forgot to mention that after loading the entire carriage with gold and other treasures. It was so heavy that even the gravity stones could no longer make it float. Instead it was so heavy that it left tracks in the ground. Even the ground affinity onyx stones made little blocks that pushed the carriage behind the wheels. Didn’t use wind since it blew everything that was around us. It also would mess up my hair so I didn’t bother.

Looking back on the stairs of the palace they had long lines that smashed the stairs to make a ramp down wards. From that momentum alone the carriage sped up. Don’t know why but it took them around 4 hours to sound the alarm to shut all the gates.

It seems only during the shift change did they discover that all guards where tightly locked away in walls and rooms barricaded with stones.

After getting away from the palace around 80 kilometers but still within the range of the tower, nearly 10 kilometers to go so that we would be out of the range of the tower. That’s when we saw many fireballs coming towards us from every place that had a fire going. It seems the Tower’s one of the affinity is a Fire affinity.

Seems the Emperor himself could not control the tower directly. He probably had to go see the main Wizard. So that he can alter some rules to the tower in order to pursue us the thieves. Even though I took it as payment for insults so technically we did not steal anything.

However our money carriage that was the last in line, was no ordinary carriage either. It had every type of affinity I knew of as of now. So the water lashed out to conquer the fire, although that did not stop the fireballs. It seems the Towers second affinity was water.

That did not stop me. I then told the Carriage to exert as much wind affinity as it could up wards making a wind wall as the wagons in front continued on. The fireballs that hit the wind wall increased the Fireballs size 10 fold. Now the direction of the fire balls when skyward. With their constant increasing in size the little onyx stones could only do so much.

Since it seemed the wagons left the towers range now. I redirected the flow of wind to propel the carriage forward as we sped away. I wanted conduct a little experiment to see if the fireballs would still go in a straight line after us as soon as towers control over them would seize. However as soon as we where out of the range to my surprise the fireball was still chasing us. It now hovered above the carriage being controlled by the carriage. I thought it would be a perfect ball of light during the approaching night or if we have to bust the gates open to avoid the hassle of opening them our selves. After a while since no new fire was added to the fireball above us it dispensed in the air.

At this time we entered the Central Market place and decide to stop with the wagons and buy up supplies.

Merchant Player: "Selling a god slaying sword for only five thousand gold" said some random merchant.

Salim: "No thanks I have an apple."

Merchant: "..."

Vionia: *Hits Salim in the head* "YOUR MAKING US SEEM LIKE MONSTERS!"

Salim * [th_093.gif] * *mutters* "We kinda are..."

We bought: 1 wagon full with food, 1 wagon full of different fabrics and leathers. 4 wagons full of ore, 1 wagon full of books and writing utensils, 1 wagon full of hay, 1 wagon of crafting tools and smiting tools, 1 wagon full of farming equipment and other 2 wagons were empty left to carry young and weak people, so we bough a few big furs to lie on the floor of the wagon.

We where now done in the Market square ready to leave. We had roughly used up 5,000 gold. The most expensive were used to buy rare metals, and ancient books.

By this time we heard a loud commotion approaching the Market Square. It was the Emperor with his knights.

Azitium Emperor: I don’t know how you were able to get this far.

As he looked over and saw my carriage he was in rage!

Azitium Emperor: You being able to afford such a carriage and even at that stole from me? Why?

Salim: I took money for all the insult and for the attempt on my life.

Azitium Emperor: I wont let you get away. You will die for this. KILL THEM ALL

EMPEROR=

Salim: I forgave you. If you make any more attempt on my companions or me. I will pronounce war against you and your Empire and bring shame upon your Royalty Reputation. So choose.

Azitium Emperor: I have heard enough insults from you. Kill them all.

As the guards started to rush us, I once again stopped time. We round everyone up and striped them all naked.

Vionia: Ahh they look all so lovely with hearts shining in their eyes

Salim: Actually is more like this.

Vin: I think it's more like this. This is what they want to do to us.

Vin, Salim & Vionia: Ha ha ha ha

Salim:

Vin:

Vionia:

Took all their armor in the process and their horses. The near by wagons were now taken and pulled by the newly arrived horses that wore padded armor that I though was pretty cool.

I then loaded all of their clothes and armor on the wagons. We now had 3 additional wagons. With around 2-3 horses tied to the back of each wagon. I stopped counting them, due to the shear number.

I took almost all the rope I found in the merchants shop leaving him 10 gold pieces. Tied up all of the king’s escorts around the stone pillars in the Merchants Square. The Emperor was tied to the most middle part of the square where there were the most amount of people. Even shut his mouth to prevent him from yelling.

Then released the time and moved forward to the outside walls.

When we reached the gates they were locked and barricaded by the stone blocks. I was amazed at what I saw.

Vin: This is going to take a while I assume.

Salim: I have a feeling our Timeless Inventor was already making something this entire time ever since the market.

Vionia: HA ha ha. You know me, too well now. Yep I have made an explosive. Don’t know how good it is but lets see.

Salim: Don’t quite use them let me test my strength that I have not yet tested fully. Vin go hit the stone head on with all of your strength and what your strength Stat at?

Vin: Sure let me try I to am interested. Oh it at 878 currently.

As Vin hit the boulders and stones that barricaded the gates. In the time Dilation field out of 10 stones 4 Shattered.

Then I came and hit the remaining boulders that destroyed the remaining cracked stones and even sent the gates flying out. After releasing the time all the soldiers present were petrified from what they saw. The gate and the boulders were broken to little bits and the gates split in several part laid around 30 meters from the gate.

Vin: My my my. It seems I really did underestimate you’re power. How long did you train?

Salim: I trained nearly 1.5 years without stopping and Vionia about a year.

Vin: Snap. That’s powerful and shows dedications but why? :;^^:

Salim: Just because I want too.

Vin: What a great reason. NOT!!!

Vionia: Ahh don’t listen to him. He has no memories from before entering the VR. So he is trying to solve everything from scratch.

Vin: I hear that many players that were the first to come here have no memories at all of their previous or real life.

Then I remembered I forgot the most important thing back at the palace. There was no way I was leaving without it either. I then permitted Vionia to create her own Time Dilation. Since I was going back to the palace. I really needed to get the one important thing I forgot. I then decided to stretch my feet and ran.

With my Phantom Running I ran so quickly it took me only 1 hour to get to the palace. I even passed the Emperor on the way back to his palace.

The gates were sealed but since I could use phantom running I ran over them and entered the meeting room where we gathered for the main discussion. I then released time. Everyone in the room was stunned again at seeing me.

Salim: I will give each one of you a warning before I leave. If any of you ever, and I mean ever attack an innocent village ever again. I will take away their positions as rulers over their land and people. By any means necessary.

I then approached the table and rolled up the map.

Map acquired

[th_096_K.gif]

Emperor of Fen: We would like a copy of that map.

Salim: Then send an envoy to Trinpik Wizard Tower that is located about 300-400 kilometers north. It isn’t an easy journey since the mountains start on the out skirts of the mountains. The village is near the Birk’s Mountain Range. I suggest you send no more then 5 people or else the tower will recognize you as a threat and remove you. It takes nearly 4 months just traveling through the mountains constantly moving.

Emperor of Fen: I will send someone as soon as I get back to my Kingdom.

Salim: By the way so everyone knows. The Emperor of Azitium had to pay dearly for his insults and attempt on my life. I spared his life. We took more then 15,000,000 gold for his attempt on my life. So don’t think for a second that each attempt that any of you try will cost you any less.

I then initiated Time Stop and ran to catch up with everyone else. Passing the market again I stopped and got the materials necessary to make many maps from. The merchant approached me and called me in to the back room.

Merchant: I would like to thank you for embarrassing the Emperor the way you did. It surely though him what it feels like to be humiliated. I understand you’re an Emperor from the north right?

Salim: That is correct.

Merchant: Please call me Fill. I would like to make a business proposal. Since I have special permission as a Merchant I can use the Wizards Tower here to trade good with other Towers. Does your Empire have a Tower?

Salim: Yes it does. So let me guess a secret trade agreement? Correct?

Merchant Fill: Yes. Since I am a merchant I can use the teleportation portal to send items to anywhere I like. No one can see where an I them was sent to other then me. So we could trade. All you need to do is use this small chest to send the list of what you need. Please don’t label anything that comes from your tower or else I would be found out.

Salim: Ok that easy enough. Our Wizard will be in charge of teleporting things so its ok if he knows. I trust him and he wont cause you trouble.

You have received a small chest.

Salim: I would like to order something now. For this agreement you have to agree to do something. You will buy every single DragonStones or better quality stones no matter the price and sell it to me exclusively.

Merchant Fill: You do know a small dragon stone goes for 1,000 gold. I currently have 10 would you like them?

Salim: Yes. I wont be able to pay you until I get back to my Empire. However I can promise I will pay you.

Merchant Fill: I saw that you kept your word when you threatened the Emperor so I know you will keep this one. I will send them via teleportation tower. I can also send all those papers you have that you bought from me for map making. What the name of the Tower I am to teleport these too?

Salim: Perfect. Its called Trinpik Wizards Tower. I will keep the map and one roll of map-making paper as well as some ink. Everything else please teleport them away. I will reimburse you on the cost of teleporting goods.

Merchant Fill: Since this is a secret agreement there will not be a paper trail. So I have your word and you have mine.

Salim: Thanks and take care.

Merchant Fill: Oh right there is one more thing. I have this old map. I have no use for it. It has been collecting dust for the past 10 generations in our family. I don’t know if it’s any good. Many adventures went to the place marked on this map however the only thing they found where big mountains and more mountains. So I don’t know what is so important about this. However every time it was passed on the elders would say that the appropriate person would understand the meaning of these maps and the things found in there. They always repeated 4-5 times “It takes gravity to reject gravity. A city rejected by gravity would be the most protected city in the entire world.”

Salim: This already makes sense. Thank you. I can say now for certain. I know where I should build the Capital of Trinpik Empire. Are there perhaps more of these maps.

Merchant Fill: Let me take a look. Ah there is one similar to this, much newer but in a different location. However the person who brought this same that he saw the two place and both were alike. However he could do nothing other then stare at everything that happened. Not sure what happened though.

Two maps acquired.

Salim: I thank you I too will take this and I will pay you extremely well for these two maps. I can say for certain I will give you 10,000 gold for each. Since I know that these maps is just what I need.

I then did time stop and ran again after the carriage. It took me 3 hours to catch up. They now at the outskirts of the burning village we passed by. I after catching up to them told everyone to slow down. Since no one was pursuing us.

I than sat in one of the wagon that was empty rolled out the current map and started to copy it to another map. I even added things to the map such as mountains that I knew about. The path we took to get to our destination. Since it wasn’t exactly a straight line since the wagons could not go over: boulders, ravines and dense forests.

Two days latter we caught up with the group of villagers. At first they were hiding in the tree line. However when Tio mentioned that he sense some people in the woods. I told everyone to stop. When the kids saw Ruben they yelled out to him and he ran in to the woods. After that the Elder with everyone else came out. All worn out, starving and very tired.

Boris the Elder: Sir Salim. I am glad you are safe.

Salim: Elder Boris please call me by my name only. We have food, clothes and many wagons that should be able to fit all of you in there. It seems that the Emperor was not a good man. He tried killing us a few times. Even though he physically was not able to touch us we punished him in a few way. So he might even come after my Empire with war. So I would like your people to choose. They may take anything they would like and either leave us or join us. It is their choice.

Boris: They have already decided to follow the one who saved them.

Salim: Then eat, get dressed and make your selves as comfortable as possible since it will take us nearly 4 months from here on out to get to our empire. I will be leaving roughly in a day with one other person. However I will leave you my most trusted people. They will take you all the way to the village. The Village elder is smart and will think of something.

Boris: I can’t portray out gratitude for such hospitality and for all your help. Thank You.

Salim: Now, now elder. The journey is not at the end. So please speak to your people and organize the distribution of the essentials and food. You may use all the fabrics to cover yourselves in the wagons for warmth during night travels since we will not be stopping. There are enough food to last us the entire trip. If something the people I leave behind will catch more food so you will have to cook it since none of them know how to.

Boris: That is easy enough. I shall go then.

The next two days went by quick. The color returned to the faces of the villagers and they all became more lively especially the kids. We only stopped to let the horses rest and then just switched them off with the ones walking behind each wagon. I didn’t realize that it turned out great to have extra horses not pulling anything to be such a big help. However it was true they were a big help.
