《Greenskin》Chapter 7 - And Some More Numbers

The goblin growled gently as it pondered. It understood the basics now, but it still didn't quite get what its skills meant. So, like before, the goblin tried to search its mind for 'Sword Expertise' and 'David Of Gath'

Skill

Sword Expertise

Grants a 5% increase to Melee Damage with Swords as well as %5 Attack Speed with Swords for each Level of Sword Expertise Live by the sword,

Die by the sword

Trait

David Of Gath

Grants +5 to all attributes for each Level of David Of Gath

Each new Level of David requires the Level of the Foe to be doubled again, for example, Level 2 of David Of Gath requires a Character to slay a Foe that is 4x their Level, Level 3 requires 8x and so on.

There once was a young man, who slew a great foe with little more than a pebble. Perhaps you may follow in his footsteps.

Steal nodded slowly to himself as the information passed through him. The wiry, black-eyed creature shuffled on its feet for a moment, the sword resting on his shoulder was uncomfortable and hefty. The man he'd killed seemed to move much quicker with the smaller blades he had, so Steal decided it would perhaps be a wise idea for him to discard the sword in lieu of a weapon he could more deftly handle. The crimson-splattered blade clattered to the ground as the goblin let the heavy sword slip from atop his shoulder. As the little creature's pointed ears rang with the sound of metal hitting stone, echoing through the caves, the goblin came to realise that perhaps he could have set the sword down a little more gently.

Too late now anyway.

"There's a sound from over there? guys let's check it out!"

Shit.

The green-skinned, and frankly foolish goblin scurried over to Richard's body and started frantically rooting through his many pockets, belts and bandoliers.

"REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE" The goblin sprung from his feet quickly with two belts slung across his shoulders. One was adorned with a number of steels studs that ran along it in neat rows, an assortment of knives and daggers of varying weights and designs were strapped along its length, hilts nestling gently and neatly between the studs. The other bandolier wasn't studded, instead, it was ordained with a multitude of flasks and vials, sloshing with a number of thick liquids. The glass flasks clanked against one another as the panicked monster hurtled blindly through the caves.

Steal kept sprinting as fast as he could, calloused and clawed feet clicking against the stone floor as the humans that were now behind him called out again "Oh shit, is that Richard? One of those little gits must've got him!"

The terrified goblin's heart pounded violently in his chest; if these humans chased after him he had no chance whatsoever of surviving.

"Eh fuck it, he was a prick anyway, take his potions and let's get moving again. Bloody interns"

The footsteps slowly faded after a few seconds. Steal took a while to breathe, resting his bare back against the jagged rock walls. Bony chest heaving with each raspy breath. He took another few moments to catch his breath, in a matter of seconds of sprinting the goblin's spindly legs felt like they might give out. That was an issue that probably should be resolved.
