INSTRUMENTAL & CHORUS x4

♫♫♫ … night.

The band visited Krawl at his 24-hour vehicle rental shop and apologized for totaling his van. Krawl said it was not a big deal. After all, they signed an agreement that required them to pay for the damages. The band had no problem with that; it was only fair.

In Jammertown that night, Krawl called all the band’s friends to wish them farewell. Everyone was there: Captain Bing, Krawl, the Spoonman, Mary Sue, Roboxy, Thaddeus, Bob Boberton, Queen Vanillish Moneigh, and Weeoo and Lyla.

Krawl hosted the party at the classy beach-side resort, Hotel California. The hotel bar’s neon lights and dance floor were alive with activity. One by one, all their friends waited to catch up with the band and tell them how their lives had changed since their intervention.

Captain Bing was excited to hear all about their adventure since the last time she saw them.

The Spoonman laughed about his small part in it all. He was just happy that he helped save Candy Town.

Mary Sue told the band that she and the boy were now going steady and it was all thanks to them. Now she was a strong, independent woman.

Roboxy updated the band that her robot army was back on the streets keeping the local mutant sewer rats at bay, which was their original prime directive.

Thaddeus shared that he had moved on from anger art and was now a sculptor. He had reclaimed some credibility amongst his peers. He still was not back together with Johnny, and that was probably okay.

VERSE 1 & 2 & 3

Tonight's … again!

Bob Boberton was pleased to report that he had changed his name to Robert and that he was now a totally different person. He worked as the talent manager at The Romp Room. He now managed spreadsheets that contained more than one piece of information. It was very exciting.

Queen Vanillish Moneigh would not stop thanking the band for the performance of a lifetime. She said she had not closed her doors once due to the amount of traffic trying to party there. She was still in the market for NTKG gear and so the band graciously signed a slew of memorabilia she brought with her.

Little Weeoo and Lyla shared that they were happier than they had ever been. They also said that they had never been particularly musically inclined, but they were starting a rock band in their frozen village.

The thought of an all-elf band sent cute-shivers down Key Gullz’ spine.

PRE-CHORUS

Let’s … it.

The stupid announcer from the Metal Chef show arrived and brought Orangello T. Money and Fire Chief Shannon too. Orangello went on and on about their chocolate covered figs.

Thad Penguino ordered a round of figs and dipping chocolate for the whole party and everyone helped themselves.

CHORUS x2

Cause … night.

Krawl knew they could not have a party without music so he ran across the street and picked up a brand-new set of the loudest and greatest instruments the Land of Rock could offer.

Candii did not need a new guitar since she still had her celestial bass. She donated Krawl’s gift to Robert Boberton and told him to give rock a try.

Key Gullz was just thankful she had a drum set that was not in a thousand pieces. She had lost her diamond drum sticks, but the store had a great pair, too.

Thad Penguino and Sir Taco gladly accepted their gifts.

VERSE 4 & 5 & 6

Tonight’s … again!

The band announced an epic set list and that they would be playing all the way into the morning. Everyone left voicemails at their jobs saying they were going to be sick. Robert laughed because his call just rang Vanillish’s phone.

Weeoo and Lyla opened for the band with a little recital. Candii told them they were pretty good! While wind instruments were not traditional rock instruments, who was she to tell denizens of the Land of Rock otherwise?

Robert then took the stage and tried, but failed, to produce anything resembling music during his first experience with a guitar. The band clapped profusely none the less and told him that practice makes perfect. The crowd was also very encouraging.

PRE-CHORUS

Let’s … it.

Roboxy shouted that her robot army had arrived, but this time to party. A bus full of cardboard robots poured into the bar and swarmed the dance floor. They wowed the crowd with their sick robotic dance moves.

With the room reaching a fevered pitch, the band took the stage and began their set list.

Verse 7 & 8

Here … day!

They played Sex is on Fire, Alive, Lump, The Middle, Eye of the Tiger, We Got the Beat, Living on a Prayer, Go Your Own Way, Devil Went Down to Georgia, Carry on My Wayward Son, More Than a Feeling, You Oughta Know, Drain You, and Pinball Wizard. And when they were done, they played it again!

CHORUS x2

And … night.

Early the next morning, the band embarked with Captain Bing back to New Orleans and said goodbye to the Continent of the Jam Gods. Captain Bing was very hungover, but her loyal crew handled the ship with expertise.

Candii laughed as the shore disappeared over the horizon. “We made it, gang!”

Key Gullz asked, “What’s next for The Non-Traditional Key Gullz?”

“I think that’s up to her.” Thad Penguino turned to Candii. “What are you going to do with your unicorn magic once you return it to your team?”

Candii thought for a moment. “What did you two say you were doing before you came down here?”

“Fighting for social justice and equality,” he answered. “You know, normal stuff.”

“Let’s do some normal stuff,” Candii said. “With great power comes great responsibility.”
