《The Primordial Tower [Re]》Chapter 19- Miracle

One man walked out of the cave that the Goblin Lord was placed oh-so-conveniently in front of, his eyes witnessing the devastation the final grid had laid upon the challengers and monsters alike. Grunts, screams in pain, shouts in alarm, it all formed a crescendo- Gridlocked was finally coming to an end. The final grid left little cover to hide behind, only a few patches of trees and clumps of bushes dotted the outskirts, the rest was cleared out. Challengers assailed the perimeter from all directions, having been breached from the west as well. A group of 80 or so odd challengers in surprisingly good gear fought in the inner regions, taking out Goblin Avengers with the use of hit and run tactics. However they were not always successful, the man saw a challenger being pummeled a dozen or more meters away by an Avenger, what he easily judged as a fatal blow.

The Goblin Lord had abandoned guarding the cave by now, having moved Northward to quell the ‘rebellion’ of sorts there. It was a scene of carnage, with severed bodies and the wailing cries of the dying echoing out even though over a hundred meters separated the man from the scene, or perhaps it was his enhanced constitution allowing him to hear and see over longer distances.

The man started removing his system-enhanced clothing one by one, stripping down to his underwear- after which he started heading northward, his steps calm and steady, his gait confident and measured. The odd display caught the attention of many a challenger, especially those part of the elite group that slaughtered Avengers with great efficiency.

“What is he doing?”

“Is he insane?

“The lunatic wants to get himself killed! The trial broke the poor guy.”

‘Rude’ thought the man but paid the challengers no heed besides a passing glance. It was not meant to be disrespectful to the good men and women of gridlocked, but the man would be nauseatingly modest if he were to judge them and himself on the same level. The nature of the new power the man had been vested with; he did not fully understand… but that was alright. One did not need to understand a force of nature to fear it.

100 meters… 90 meters… the distance between the man and the Goblin Lord only shortened, until only ten short meters separated them. The man reached his arm into the void, and pulled out a majestic silver hammer.

“That guy is going to try and fight the goblin lord!?”

“God save that idiot’s soul.”

“Boy, this is going to be a show worth watching.”

The majestic hammer was only held aloft for a second, before crashing to the ground.

“….”

“Hey asshole! How about you pick on someone your own size!” Noah yelled out to the goblin lord, A massive twelve-meter green skinned goblin, with blood red eyes and razor-sharp teeth that resembled those of a sharks. Dressed from head to toe in a brown leather armor that engulfed the goblin lord in a red aura, that gave Noah the impression of agony and death, it slowly turned its massive head, and then its muscular frame to face the puny insect that was Noah.

Noah gave a bestial roar, as a purple aura enveloped every portion of his body. It was followed by an explosion of purple smoke, that engulfed the area around Noah and the Goblin Lord. It took a minute for the smoke to clear, and confronting the goblin lord, face to face, was a muscular exoskeleton that looked… humanoid. Except the fact that it was 15 meters tall, with brown hair and pitch-black eyes as it confronted the goblin lord. In its right hand was a silver hammer that was three meters tall, barely held aloft with one hand representing the immense weight it carried.

Hammer of Minor Gravity Manipulation, Uncommon

Requirements- 30 Strength

A mighty hammer fit for an equally mighty warrior, it is imbued with gravity reduction properties, allowing it to heft a tremendous amount of bulk yet be comfortable in the hands of the wielder. The way of the hammer is of one where there is no room for clever swordplay or genial posturing, only of raw, unfiltered strength and a desire to reduce one’s foe to nothingness.

Additional Effects-

Temporal Compression- The hammer of Minor Gravity Manipulation adjusts its size and weight according to the wielder’s specifications. The bulk and length of the hammer is equal to the wielder’s total body weight and height, to a maximum of thousand kilograms and 3 meters in length.

Gravity Manipulation- Reduces the weight the wielder of the weapon has to carry by up to 65 percent to a maximum of 650 kilograms.

Consecutive Blows- Every third strike made within a minute has a 50 percent chance to deal 50 percent more damage. The blow must make direct bodily contact. Cooldown- Can only proc once every 60 seconds.

Temporal Compression has reached its limit.

Gravity Manipulation has reached its limit.

Noah looked at down at the Goblin Lord, who looked awfully small for the amount of trouble it had given him. He could feel a primal, ancient aura influence his mind- but Noah did not feel like denying it. For once, he was at the top of the food chain, the unquestionable, unchallengeable monarch of everything and everyone ever created. He was the inheritor of a Titan, a mighty race that could shatter planets with a swing of their hammer.

“YOU….. DISPLEASE ME,” Noah said, but what he actually wanted to do was give a command to the other challengers to attack. It felt like…. It was hard to… think about complicated matters in this form.

The Goblin Lord grunted with derision and pointed his curved sword in Noah’s direction, mouthing off something in what he could only assume was goblin speak.

“BEGONE, RAT,” Noah said, gripping his hammer with both his hands and simply swinging as fast as he could. The Goblin Lord held its shield up in defense to block the attack but……

A loud BOOM echoed out, followed by a powerful gust of wind and the mighty Goblin Lord that had its sorry ass sent flying thirty meters away, crashing into a clump of trees and tearing through half of them.

For a moment the entire battlefield went silent, and even the Goblins looked at Noah with a mix of shock, horror and a glimmer of awe.

Except Liam’s howling laughter in the background.

A roar of exultation echoed out in the human camp, followed by victorious yells and cries of absolute and utter disbelief.

A miracle had arrived.
