Hey all, I hope everyone had a fantastic summer.

As you may have noticed, I failed to continue this story. Rather than letting it sit abandoned, I’ve decided to officially announce the dropping of this story. I had so many good ideas as to where the story would go, but when coming back to writing this summer I failed to find any enjoyment in continuing the story. This announcement is bittersweet; it feels so wrong to leave this unfinished, but dropping it will allow me to focus on regaining the spark that I had when first writing In Umbra Hasta and on writing something new and hopefully better.

I am a far better author now than I was when I started writing this, and I’m finding myself drawn to start new stories rather than continuing this one. I’ve gotten a few chapters into a few before dropping them due to not really getting into them. I want to avoid running into the lack of motivation that hampered this story so much at the end. I just finished the prologue of one that I’m feeling really, really good about, so I hope to share it with you soon if it works out.
