Hey all.

I’m just going to get this out of the way first: as of today, the story will be going on indefinite hiatus. Before I started writing this story, I always wondered why so many stories were unfinished. After 224,636 words, I’m wondering how so many stories are finished.

I absolutely do plan on continuing the story. It is far from finished, and I truly do enjoy writing it. I’m just not in a place in my life where I can justify putting 4+ hours a day into what amounts to a hobby. Right now, I’m planning to pick it back up as soon as things cool down in my life, hopefully over the summer.

I wanted to go on a break last month and come back fresh. At first, it worked, but the whole fiasco with having to rewrite 20,000 words left me just as drained as I was before the break. Now, more things have come up, and after I started considering the idea last week, it’s become clear that this is the best option for me.

Thank you all so much for making the last few months so incredible. I never expected this story to grow nearly as much as it did. I’ve read every single comment that you’ve all left, and they quickly turned what I planned to be an avenue for me to improve my writing into one of the pillars of my life. When I come back, I hope to see you all again
