Old Man Zhu nodded approvingly as he said, “Good. Once you reach the peak of the Qi Gathering stage, meet me and I will help you achieving a breakthrough.” Before gulping another goblet of spirit wine and refilling Fang Hao’s goblet. Fang Hao was reaching his limits as he sipped some spirit wine from his 4th cup. He could barely circulate the Sublime Qi Manual as he tried to kowtow again…but fainted on the spot and started snoring.
‘Haha this little fatty is so unrestrained and shameless. Got bribed with some cheap spirit wine and accepted me as his master. And then starts snoring during a kowtow… priceless. I think I may even gain some insights from his antics! Hmm, even though I was joking… he is my disciple now, and it is unsightly for others to see him like this.’ Old Man Zhu got up and grabbed the snoring Fang Hao’s cuff. In an instant, rippled distortions appeared and both Old man Zhu and Fang Hao disappeared! They appeared directly in Fang Hao’s backyard. He then dumped the meatball he was holding and disappeared again.

If anyone had witnessed this scene, they would be shocked to their core… Old Man Zhu had teleported directly into Fang Hao’s backyard like the restriction placed on it never existed! Teleportation was something not even Core Disciples who had established their foundation could achieve. Ignoring the restriction, without destroying it, on Fang Hao’s backyard meant one of two things. Either Old man Zhu was very accomplished in restrictions and could effortlessly break the simple restriction on an outer disciple’s courtyard, or had enough status in the sect to know the restrictions thoroughly. Either way; he was, at the very least, an Elder with an Unfathomable Cultivation Base.
It was well past noon when Fang Hao woke up. It took him a moment to recall last night’s activities and recognize his surroundings. ‘Old Man Zhu, no Master Zhu must have arranged for me to get here. Did he throw my fat-ass into the backyard over the restriction? I hope it wasn’t a mistake to accept him as my master. Well, what is done is done. I can breakthrough with enough xp anyways so even if he is a Qi Condensation washout; it won’t be too big of a deal. At the very least, I can get some more spirit wine and boost my stats and get sloshed!’ thought Fang Hao as he contemplated over last night’s event.
‘My xp gained has slowed a lot and I need to find better ways of grinding xp instead of the measly 1xp chickens…or I won’t have too much of an advantage being able to level up. Speaking of chickens, I did miss today’s chore. Meh, I can make up for it by this week anyways. I should take this opportunity to see how much QI and Spirit I gained form last night’s drinking session!’ thought Fang Hao as he excitedly called up his status screen.

‘Good. A gain of 1 in Qi and 0.2 in Spirit is simply fantastic for an evening of drinking! Last time I had gotten similar stat gains with 3 cups…but now I got them with 4 cups. It seems tolerance to stat gain tends to build up pretty quickly. So this spirit wine is only good for the kick after a while. It should be completely useless by the time I am in the intermediate stages of Qi Condensation. I guess it was cheap stuff. What does it say about me, who can’t afford it…and even sold himself out for a bit more of it?’ thought Fang Hao as he scanned his status screen for changes.
‘Wait a minute, wasn’t my xp in the lower 1400s before the competition? I gained a little over 160xp from the competition! So I either gained it from making my opponents admit defeat or from coming 2nd in the competition. More than a 160xp seems a bit too much for defeating 4 opponents of such low skill without killing them. So a majority of the xp had come from me obtaining 2nd place in the competition!’
Fang Hao was excited and disappointed. He was bemoaning the loss of that sweet, sweet xp if he had endured and defeated Yu Li aka, the Swarthy Turtle. How much xp would he gain if he had won not just the preliminary competition on their peak…but defeated all the other 1st year outer disciples? But soon, he got over his disappointment. Without solid background and support, it wasn’t wise to stand out too much. And besides if he could gain xp other than killing stuff, he had a lot of new avenues to explore!
‘I think I should pay a visit to the arena! Although the rewards for the non-lethal brawling ring are almost negligible compared to the lethal one, if it can help me…it’s the best! Gain xp without risk of life. Even though my life may not be in danger there, there is still a good chance of broken bones. The people fighting in the arena aren’t new 1st year outer disciples. Most of them are seasoned in fights, with good combat experience. I should still master the 4th move of the Divine Vajra Body Scripture. That would give me a good fighting chance against 9th layer Qi gathering cultivators.’
Fang Hao continued his train of thought as he nodded to himself. ‘ Hmm, yes. It is settled then. I will master the 4th move of the Divine Vajra Body Scripture and go to Master Zhu regarding permission of competing in the non-lethal brawling arena. Since now I have a master, I should take his permission before doing major stuff. Also I should visit him next week to drink some more spirit wine.’

No Strings Attached [Rewritten]
Warning Just so you know, you better be paying attention to the chapter title or else it's going to be like travelling across multiverses. Explanation Due to a single comment made by a wonderful person, or some douchebag in real life, I have decided to create two seperate stories. A rewritten version, and the original version. The rewritten version will somewhat follow the original storyline of the original version, but will have extra content, extra side stories of course rewritten personalities. The original one will be like a rough draft of where I want the story to go. Like for instance, the original story is like the first Link from 'Legend of Zelda', choppy but fun to read. The rewritten story is the Link from any game during and after Windwaker, smooth and somewhat follows the main premise. Overall both are going to be probably terribly done but hey, I'm creating a furture and past story so what should you expect. - Styx Whatever just put up the revised description. - Ariel Edited Summary Jay W. Blu, a dashing and charming rich boy who's been spoiled his whole life. He is very cocky, has a case of egomania and isn't exactly what you call a 'Relatable Main character', unless you somehow fit one of these descriptions and then relate all you want. He had everything you would probably want if you weren't pessimistic, realistic, or chronically depressed. But as most reincarnation/summoning stories go, he get's himself killed at whatever age he was and is sent to another world. Normally, he would be summoned as something you would call a hero, but since that's to cliche by my standards he is something else. Instead of being the hero of the people that he was told about by a friend, he instead summoned as the anti-hero aka, 'The Hero of Demons'. Now he must traverse the lands slaying opposing heroes as he tries to keep his mind straight, although it's to late. There will be weird people along the journey like a fangirling war general, a hive mind and a manly magical girl? Oh well, Jay is too pure to see love anyways.
