-Mother-
My hands couldn't stop shaking. The, Thing, that had taken my boy from me had come to pay a visit. I allowed it into my home because I had no way to actually stop it. The keywords involved making sure my Damian would have a better chance at survival. It had spoken with me for an hour, detailing several ways I could help Damian. This included 'Item Packages' that could be sent through the mail when it fully opened up for Earths Residence through the System.
The fact this was a form of cheating was why I could never say it aloud outside of his presence. He said something about using the ten percent of the System dedicated to him to prevent eavesdropping from others of his kind. That part had confused me, but I understood now. At least a little, he was making things harder and more difficult to prepare my son for whatever he had planned. No matter what I asked he never elaborated, only gave me a set order to send each of those packages to Damian in a weeks time. In return, all the funding for them would be taken care of by him through more mundane means.
I took a shaking sip of my coffee, terrified about just what the Lumarian had planned for Damian. Looked at the headline for the muted news channel only made it more frightening. 'Africa purged of all Human life. Are we next?'
-Xal'gul-
Floating aimlessly in the oceans of this planet reminded me so of my home. I came here, the Atlantic they called it when I wished to think. To debate my choices, if they were truly for the best and not another odd setting that the System itself set in motion. It had done so before, according to records from others. Forging hope before allowing it to be crushed. It had become a bit of a philosophical debate among my kind, what remained of us, exactly why it did this. We learned that trying to discern the motivations of the System, a literal God, were beyond us. Still, we tried though.

I had taken a risk by going to see the Mother and grant her the knowledge she would need to increase the chances of the 'Hero' surviving. There were other seedlings that would be nurtured from my section of Earth, of course, one could never use a single arrow. The problem lay in I could not force another into the Hell difficulty set to periodically increase as I did with Damian. In time it would become something worse than Hell...I would have to hope the little Human was prepared for the Systems true nature. Until then I would continue with my plan. More so now than ever, the Ixian was coming. His impending arrival was against all recorded knowledge of his movements. It had to do with either a desire to consume more of my kind or to rid another planet of the Human-like creatures his people had once hunted to extinction on his own planet, long since destroyed by his own hand.
Ultimately it didn't matter though. Time was needed now, to by that time I would be the first to begin purging sections of Earth. I'd guided a younger of my kind in charge of the place known as Africa into purging all Human life from the continent. The animals 'below' them were more interested and allowed to leave. Another part to the plan, a more far-reaching one. It would appease the Ixian to a degree though, so I hoped.
Time was running out. Things needed to move more quickly on my end. I could only ensure so much though. It was on the Human I had made my Champion for now. As so much else was.

I was just like everyone else. At least, I thought so. Everyone grew up in a mansion with servants, trained to be a debutante, had a traveling archeologist for a father, and gave it all up to do whatever the hell they wanted. Right? Well that’s what I did. I was happy. As happy as a single twenty four year old girl can be living in an apartment selling shit online to pay the bills. Not actual shit, that's gross. No, I bought stuff from garage sales, thrift stores, and junk shops, and resold it in my online store. I was pretty good at finding stuff to peddle to my customers. I made rent every month and didn’t have to strip. I’m a bit too chunky to swing around a pole anyway. Life was great! Until two sexy men broke into my apartment and woke me up from the most erotic dream my sexually depraved mind could come up with. One was between my legs, the other was... Oh well, it was a dream and I didn’t even get to finish it. Those bastards! Now I’m supposed to believe my dead father wasn’t an archeologist, but some kind of paranormal agent working for a secret organization called The Guard. My ability to find items for my customers is just a perk inherited from him. And I’m supposed to use my inherited powers to save the world. All while these hunks of man flesh guard me from other paranormals out to get whatever the hell they think I have. A certain body part is dripping with excitement, literally. But my mind is saying “Hell No!”

Dust and Glory
A century after World War III left the planet a nuclear wasteland, earth is nearly unrecognizable. Alien ‘Benefactors’ have taken control of North America’s most populous cities and built indomitable walls around them, defending their inhabitants but trapping them under a totalitarian rule. Outside these citadels, chaos reigns, led by the mutants of the wasteland; cultists, raiders, and canibal clans. Glory, a rogue android, is roaming the wastes after escaping her sadistic “father”. Alone and reeling from the effects of a previously sheltered life, her only ray of hope is Reza City, built upon the ruins of what used to be Phoenix, Arizona. True, the Benefactors have a strict ban on self-aware artificial intelligence in place, but that should only prove an issue if they realize she’s an AI. The real problem is what lurks outside the city: over a million square miles of harsh, unyielding desert. And slinking between the dunes and the fissures are the mutants, looking for an easy victim.
