Chasing After My Wife Chapter 540

Riley felt so infuriated at this moment. "This is for targeting my family." She stomped on the man's wrist and ground her shoes on it. "This is for causing trouble in this hotel." She pulled his right leg and broke it. The shrill sound of his yell sent goosebumps to Cielo's arms who heard it clearly. Jenny was also horrified to see such scene from the wardrobe where she hid herself. It was the first time that she saw Riley became this angry. In her memory, Riley had been very kind and gentle to everyone. She always had this lovely smile on her lips and she looked like an angel.
She could never associate the Riley in her memory and to the Riley inside the room. They were polarly opposite! Jenny covered her ears to make sure that she won't hear any sound. Cielo was doing the same thing to Jade. She covered the little girl's ears with her hand.
"You wounded our body guards, right? Did you know that my sister and brother-in-law cares for them? Since you wounded them, I should do the same thing to you." Riley didn't want to move away from him just in case the man would escape. Even though it was impossible, she wouldn't such risk too happen. There was a flower vase on the table and she broke it purposely. Taking one sharp and bigger piece of broken ceramic, she used it to cut the man on his arms, his legs, his chest and his face. "These are for the people you killed, wounded and injured. I hope you like it."
She even smiled at him but to the man, her smile was more like a smile of a big demon instead of an angel. "I don't regret what I've done. In fact, I am super happy." The man stated which angers everyone who heard him.
Riley looked at him with her head nodding up and down. "I agree with you. I am not regretting what I've done to you. In fact, I am also very happy. Why don't we celebrate this happiness, hmm?" she stabbed the sharp ceramic on his right thigh and smiled. The painful groan made her grin from ear to ear. "She stood up again and stepped on the long gash she made on his thigh. "Oopssie! I stepped on it accidentally."
"You, stupid bitch! I'll kill you!" the man shouted angrily.
"You are more than welcome to try. I'm waiting." Riley provoked him again and again but before he could even move, she would kick him and stepped on his wounds intentionally. The floor was a mess and blood can be seen everywhere the man landed.

"Ms. Summer, that's enough. We can take care of him?" one of the soldiers interrupted. He wasn't worried for the man but he was worried for the young woman. It shouldn't be something she needed to experience.
"Alright. You can continue the fun." Riley casually threw the sharp ceramic and it stuck on the man's chest. Killing him on the process.
The soldiers looked at her and back to the dead man on the floor. They couldn't believe that she was so strong to the extent that she seemed casual and yet she could kill a big man.
Brown and Savannah looked towards Riley and sighed. "Just report it that Riley tried to defend herself from this man. Anyway, he's got several crimes listed under his name. Having one defend herself and kill him on the process won't be a big impact. Make sure that this won't get out to the media. Riley is an actress after all." Brown reminded them to cover up what Riley did.
"Yes, Captain." The soldiers took the body away and Savannah called for a hotel cleaner to clean the mess. After few minutes, Riley was back to herself and she walked out of Sky's room to go back to their own room to take a shower and change her clothes.
Jenny came out from the closet and stayed away from the perimeter of the crime scene. Cielo looked for a cloth to cover Jade's eyes so that they can come out and change rooms. They can't let the children stay in that place anymore. Jade was very obedient as well. She knew how serious the commotion was and that they were the one being targeted.
"Can I talk to my Daddy and Mommy?" she asked Alex who was carrying her out of the bathroom.
"Hn. We'll call your Mommy and Daddy once we're out of this room. Just wait a little longer." Alex responded while coaxing the child to calm down. Even though she was smart, a child's mental fortitude couldn't be a strong as the adults. Even adults would crumble down after witnessing a horrible scene. How much more a child of her age? They didn't want to cause another trauma to their little princess.
Cielo also called Lucian as they walked out of the room. The soldiers escorted them to another room to make sure that they were safe. Jenny was a little shock and surprise with what happened. 'I'm so glad that I am a family and not an enemy to her.' She thought to herself when she remembered how Riley acted earlier.

Savannah went out with the whole family to help them bring their things and settle down in a different room. As soon as Jade was put down, she asked for a mobile phone to call her parents. Alex gave her his phone and she dialed her father's number immediately.
Travis was pacing back and forth when Jillyanna came out of the shower room. "You looked restless, what happened to you?" she asked her husband while she wrapped a dry towel around her head.
"I received a message earlier that some of the gang members arrived at the hotel. I'm waiting for the result."
"Why didn't you tell me about this?! Are they okay?"
"You were still sleeping and I was worried that you will be surprised and that your heart won't be able to take it."
"Why aren't you calling them?"
"I am trying but none of them was answering."
Jillyanna sat on the bed with so much worry. She was worried for her children who were small and helpless. She looked for her phone to call them when Travis received a call.
"Jade?"
"Daddy!" Jade exclaimed in relief.
Jillyanna was also relieved and she walked towards her husband's side to listen to their conversation. Travis turned on the loud speaker and let his wife listen.
"Are you alright?" Jillyanna asked her daughter on the other end of the line.
"Hn. We are all fine. The soldiers protected us. Auntie Savy and Uncle Brown hid us as well."
"What about Riley?"
"She's fine. She's currently taking a shower in her room." She didn't tell her parents that Riley fought with the bad guy. She knew that her mother will be angry since she had been reminding Riley not to fight with anyone.
"How about baby Raizel and your grandparents?"
"Baby Raizel is fine. Grandma and Grandpa protected him. As for Grandpa Thomas, he was with Uncle Gabriel and the other soldiers."
"None of you were hurt?" Jillyanna asked again to make sure.
"Hn. We are all fine, not even a single drop of blood was taken."
"That's good to know. I'm finally relieved" she mumbled and pushed the phone back to Travis. "You talk to her so I can change my clothes. I don't want to catch a cold."
Travis nodded his head and talked to Jade to know how her mentality was doing. He didn't want her to be traumatized again. They talked about different things and she sounded composed and stable. She didn't stutter and she was always quick to answer his question. After few minutes, Jade bid goodbye to her parents because she wanted to rest.
Brown left them and went to look for Gabriel and Thomas to see how they were doing. When he came inside their room, he found Thomas sitting on a couch with a chess board in front of him. Gabriel was currently keeping his gun and the soldiers assigned to them were walking at the lobby to check every nook and cranny of the floor. The couldn't have anyone sneaking an attack against them again.
"I'm glad that you two are fine."
"It is not my time to die yet." Thomas mumbled with a faint laughter.
"Not my time either. I haven't married Winter yet." Gabriel also stated.
Brown was shaking his head from side to side as he took a seat across Thomas and moved one pawn chess piece on the board. "It was quite a mess in our floor. I'm glad that it didn't happen here."
"Yeah. I heard that there were several injured men."
"Hn. The soldiers lost several lives. Riley caught the man off-guard and took him down."
"I always felt something towards the twins. I didn't know that they were very brave to face a notorious criminal."
"You have so many things you don't know regarding them, uncle. Anyway, I just came here to check on you. I'll go back to report back to Major General Calhoun. I might need to make a testimony for Riley."
"Okay. Go and do your job. We will be fine here." Thomas urged Brown to leave them.
Back in Bali, Travis was done with the call and he was looking at his wife with a mischievous grin. "Honey, our problem is now solved. Don't I have any rewards?"
"No, you don't. You kept something very important from me. I am upset."
"Looks like I'll have to persuade her of our love making session again." Travis mumbled to himself with a helpless expression.

Queer Tales From A Street Nominally Associated With Your Reality
The street is not from your world, and yet it's attached, clinging like a shadowy limpet to the edge of your London, your city skyline stabbing into it from above. Or well that's what we tell ourselves, no one who lives here really knows. We are after all just regular folk displaced from our original realities. Just a bunch of folks with queer tales from a street nominally associated with your reality. What to expect: - A series of interlinked short stories gradually unpacking the lives, complications and mysteries associated with those who live in the street - A weird pseudo-British setting where physics works inconsistently, and houses move position regularly - Stories filled with LGBTQ+ characters, and in particular ones on the trans/nonbinary spectrum - Potentially iffy grammar, I'm new to publishing my work online, so whilst I am checking things before posting it’s a near certainty that some things will slip through - A schedule of one chapter every two weeks.
