Lady Boss, Please Spoil Your Husband! Chapter 389

Song Zhihao is a general physician, not an obstetrician-gynecologist. Although it may not be his specialization, he still studied the female anatomy and reproductive system. He's confident in his skills and knowledge.
Concerning pregnancy, he considers himself competent in the area.
However, the expectant mother seems like she wouldn't appreciate having a male—even if he is a doctor—probe into her intimate parts.
Conveniently, his eldest sister is an OB-GYN.
"My sister agrees to your conditions for this private check-up. Honestly, she doesn't really care about the identity of her patients as long as they're nice to her and they pay up." Doctor Song casually told Lillie as they sat inside his office to discuss the situation.
Lillie reconstructed her facial structure with make-up, covered her silver hair with a sunflower blonde wig, and her blue eyes with green contacts.
"I appreciate your efforts, Doctor Song." Lillie nodded.
"Have you informed Ethan about what happened?"
"Later when he gets home. He's too busy with the company, I don't want to bother him." Lillie admitted half of the truth.
"You know you're never a bother to him. In fact, I'm sure he'll be upset that you didn't tell him immediately."
"I'm well aware."
"Then why..."
"It's better that we talk in person than over the phone."
"Hm, understandable." Song Zhihao could agree to that. "Shall we head to my sister's clinic then?"

"Alright, Miss Jane Doe [1], everything is good. Your baby's safe and sound from the impact," Doctor Song's eldest sister handed her the copy of her laboratory results. "You, on the other hand, acquired a few bruises on your hips, but nothing life-threatening."
Doctor Song Zhilan noticed Lillie's bandaged hands but didn't stick her nose further from her specialization's parameters. She could only attempt an educated guess that this mysterious patient of hers didn't simply fell.

Clearly, there was fighting involved. But once again, it's none of her business. Her patient requested a private check-up—meaning her identity is a mystery even to her. Nothing will be recorded regarding her and the purpose of her visit to the hospital.
This process isn't appropriate, yet not illegal. How does that work, you ask? Meh, semantics.
This woman should be a close associate of his little brother for her to approach him.
It isn't a long list of names, knowing how introverted he is. She could run through it for a few days or less before making a connection.
'If' she's motivated enough. She's lazy as f*ck and she could care less about it. Her brother's business is his, period.
"My brother already prescribed medicine for you, didn't he?" Prior to Jane Doe's check-up with her, her brother already filled her in with the details and past diagnosis. "I'm gonna need to add and change a few of those. Your iron level is good now, so there's no need for you to continue taking supplements but still recommend eating food rich in iron."
Lillie nodded, earnestly listening to the doctor's order.
"Yes, thank you, doctor. You'll be seeing more of me soon."
"I'm looking forward to it." Song Zhilan grinned. If Jane Doe isn't already taken, she would definitely ask her out. There's just something about how she carries herself that screams extraordinary.
Sigh. She should go out more and meet other people.
But nah, she's too lazy for that.
"Take care now." She waved goodbye to her mysteriously hot patient and little brother.
Song Zhihao held the door for Lillie. Before he closes it behind him, he sends his eldest sister a two-finger salute to show his appreciation.

To which she replied by sticking her tongue out and shooing him. Troublesome little brother. It sucks to be the eldest sometimes.

Lillie returned to Tranquil Villa without the heavy feeling of trepidation that something happened to her baby. Ethan's office hour isn't about to end for another four hours.
Also, Elliot will come soon to deliver some documents and a verbal report.
Stripping her disguise and changing into a comfortable set of clothes, she decided to dedicate her attention to the book she recently bought while she waits for Elliot.
Storm, all clean and fluffed up after a bath, climbed up the couch she was sitting on and curled beside her. He rested his head on her lap and doze off.
Lillie's face softened. Storm intentionally positioned himself like that to guard her stomach. After what happened earlier, he'd become more protective of her and the baby.
Returning her attention to the book, she and Storm stayed there accompanied by the relaxing sound of music blaring from the gramophone. Her unoccupied hand would occasionally run through his soft fur.
The synopsis intrigued her. So far, the book is quite good. Mystery and action with the perfect amount of angst and romance.
Though the female lead's 'potential' significant other should tone down his arrogance and remove the mindset of the female lead needing him to survive.
Urgh. Hopefully, there's major character development for this guy or the real male lead appears soon to replace the fool. She'll burn the d*mn book if it's otherwise.
***
Knock, knock, knock.
Three soft raps on wood made her eyes fly open in alert. Somehow she accidentally fell asleep while she was reading.
"Excuse me, Miss Bai," She heard Elliot's voice from the other side before the knob turned and the door opens.
"Elliot," She said in acknowledgment, looking back at her book to see which page she left on before squeezing a bookmark in between. "Would you like some refreshments while we discuss?"
"Tea, please."
"Very well. You'll love the white tea grandmother sent me two weeks ago. It'll do you well to relieve some stress." Lillie put the book down on the side table, gently coaxing Storm to lift his head so she could get up.
He's already awake as soon as he heard the first knock, but refuses to get up until his mistress told him so. He woke up earlier too when Lillie accidentally fell asleep. The hand that held the book fell on his head, startling him momentarily but didn't move away.
"I look forward to it, miss." Elliot smiled in amusement at the cute display.

He died and his soul travelled across the void and ended up taking over the body of a member of one of the weakest races ever. Even worse than a goblin or slime. It was ok though, as long as he had a positive mental attitude, he could live a happy life… Nope. Interdimensional wars? An all-powerful cosmic entity called the System that will grant all your wishes for a price? Survival of the fittest? In a universe far different from his old one he will reach the Zenith. (TM stands for transmigrated which is different from reincarnation.
