The next morning, Kimmy enthusiastically joined the father and son for breakfast like her usual routine. It had been a week already since she started living with them. She wanted to deny the fact that she was extremely enjoying her stay at Lewis Residence. 

Uncle Daniel was so warm to her and so far Cain was treating her nicely except, of course, with some of their teasings and bantering with each other especially when Cain was being bossy, asking her to do lots of work including petty little things that she finally got used to already.

"Good morning everyone," she greeted as she entered the dining area and sat on the chair next to uncle Daniel. It was her favorite seat while Cain sat on the opposite chair.

"Good morning Kimmy. How's your sleep dear?" Daniel asked as he smiled at her.

"It's good uncle… How about you?" Kimmy asked.

"Never been great too," Daniel answered. He could not hide how happy he was that Kimmy was with them. He was honestly hoping Kimmy could stay for a longer time with them already. He could not help but feel greedy inside his heart, hoping his son and Kimmy got along well soon. He hoped that they could work things out with each other.

The two seemed to be getting along well based on his observation so he could only hope for their relationship to bloom and who knew? This could lead to something really good in the process.

Cain was just quiet as usual and was observing the two conversed once in a while. He would answer whenever his father would ask him anything or they would talk about hospital-related concerns but apart from that he was just silently eating his breakfast. But in reality, he was actually busy thinking about what could he task Kimmy later on at work so the latter would not get bored while staying with him inside the corners of his office.

On the other hand, Kimmy's mind was a bit busy too thinking about her stay at Lewis residence so far. She could not help but realize how she was becoming too attached already with the family in the days she spent living with them.

She admired and adored how very thoughtful uncle Daniel was as a father to Cain. He would always check the whereabouts of his son. He would even ask her too about Cain once in a while during work hours.

Daniel cleared his throat in the middle of breakfast and bashfully looked at Kimmy and said, "I know I ask too much but I hope you can make sure that this son of mine won't skip his meals, Kimmy."

Cain was shocked to hear his father's words that he complained, "Dad?! Seriously? I'm not a child and I don't need Kimmy to remind me of that!"

Kimmy could not help but laugh as she recalled Cain's pettiness. He would ask her to put on his seatbelt or open the car door for him? He even asked her to cut his steak! And she won't be surprised soon if Cain would even demand her to feed him once he started his bullying!

Both men stared at her, confused so she waved her hand saying, "oh nothing. I just remembered something funny. But don't worry uncle, I will make sure to take care of Dr. Cain here and that he won't skip meals even if I have to feed him myself!"

Uncle Daniel was too pleased to hear it so he thanked Kimmy in advance.

Cain only lifted his brows because he could already get what Kimmy was emphasizing and it was his pettiness.

'Huh! Later I will really ask you to feed me!' he mused with a playful smile creeping on his handsome face!

The two soon bid goodbye to uncle Daniel and headed for work. As usual, Kimmy opened the car door and put on Cain's seatbelt before she walked towards the driver's seat. 

"No other plans for today, doc? Just at the hospital?" Kimmy asked as she started the engine. She stepped on the gas to start driving.

"Yeah, but we will go out at lunch since I have a lunch meeting outside," Cain informed before he looked at his tablet to check on some files pertaining to the management of the hospital.

"Do you have plans? I mean do you want to go somewhere?" Cain asked.

"Can I do that? Skip work?" Kimmy excitedly asked.

"Well yeah since after the lunch meeting… I have some free time so you can do whatever you want and I will just accompany you," Cain nonchalantly commented. He was worried that Kimmy was getting bored so he thought it would be nice to sometimes give her some time to go out. 

"You will accompany me? I can't go alone?!" Kimmy burst in disbelief.

Cain gulped.

"Of course… Remember we need to stick together at all times?" Cain shamelessly reminded her.

Kimmy frowned for a moment but her face suddenly lit up when an idea entered her mind so she beamed, "Alright! It's my call then! I can choose the place I want to go to, right? Since you'll be coming with me, don't be a killjoy, or else I will really kill you!"

"Huh? Why? Where do you plan to go?" Cain curiously asked, suddenly he got alarmed when he saw the mischievous smile plastered all over Kimmy's face. He could already tell that the woman was planning something later that might not end well.

"It's a secret so just relax. All you need to do is to accompany me so you have to stick to me wherever I go! Or you can just let me have my off alone… your choice Doc! I can go alone if you want. I will just drop you off first at home after lunch!" Kimmy mumbled with a grin.

Cain's face turned sour as he scoffed, "no way! Why would I let you off that easily! We will go together wherever it is you're planning to go. You're scary! Look at yourself -- it's like you're planning to do something stupid and I can already tell that you are planning to go wasted later!"
