When we arrived outside the mall the snake was still sleeping but after feeling Lisa's presence it stood up and came near her making Clement's group scream in fright.

But they calmed after we explained them but they still kept a distance from the snake, the snake gave them a glance but turned his head after noticing that his pseudo master didn't mind their presence, it lost interest in them they didn't have enough energy to make him stronger at all but he looked at the male next to his pseudo master him in the other hand had something that he attracted him but too bad, she warned him to never attack him when he asked her letting out a dangerous aura that make him have less thought about it.

Our wound now was almost healed, but outside the growls were now close to us, we stayed for thirty-minute in the underground to level up and eat something.

So it wasn't strange that they were already so many people and beasts near this area if there were still some people that survived in the center city.

I couldn't saw them but thank to my sense getting stronger and my energy perception that I used to feel the surrounding that I spread all around the plaza and a little further in the street that leads to the plaza.

I could feel that there were one or two people running toward this place but with a group of beasts in their back.

Lisa ordered the snake to stay behind and protect Sarah and Emily she was still trying to understand the snake he had emotion like her and it was as if although now he follows her order she hadn't still gained his full loyalty, the snake just shook his head in responses going behind with Emily, Sarah and Eillen son, since she decided to participate she wasn't any more afraid to fight but instead eager to fight.

and seeing Chris and the others ready to fight even if they got wounds so serious that they let out some tears, but still greet their teeth with veins that could be seen on their neck and arm, and kept fighting she was excited by it and couldn't just back down anymore and by now even though she was the weakest she didn't hinder them anymore.

and one minute later they felt the ground rambling before they saw two-man and one woman each having a shield and a sword running for their life with ten beasts of two to three-meter which were some boars and raccoons, chasing them.

And those guys seeing Chris's group started to run in their direction.

" Hey please help us, please "

they shouted but the group just gave them a bland look concentrating their attention on the beasts behind them, they could kill those beasts easily but the problem was they know that they would be more coming so now their problem was to finish them quickly to have some rest before the next wave.

Once the beasts were close enough Sarah and Emily started to attack followed by the rest of the group just behind they didn't dare to be complacent just because they could kill a high number of beasts, today Hector almost die because he thinks it would be easy and a level four cat came out of nowhere and slashed at his neck.

But thank god!!, Edward was next to him blocking the blow killing the cat with Sarah's backup.

After the three people passed them thanking them at the same time, it's then that the group started their attack their sword wasn't anymore enough to kill those beasts, and the fact that some of them were enough intelligent makes it harder to kill a group.

So they advanced together and in a trained footstep that they learned after a lot of pain and blood fighting together, they stayed close to each other and started to kill the beasts despite that their sword was getting less useful with the beasts with a tough hide it was still able to kill level three beasts as long they aimed the vital point.

The group of beasts was quickly finished, they came back to the new group that appeared they were now near clement group after they saw the snake reacting just like Clement group before but calmed when they know he wouldn't attack them.

they were all coworkers in a small company before the world change, and they fought the beasts after they came back from the awakening room and since some dog and insect entered their office, despite their fear of being eaten like their friends at works they fought back killing some beasts that were eating their coworker and didn't pay attention if there were others human left.

they were able to reach level 1 after working together and almost close to level 2 after they killed some lone level three beats after escaping their office but they lost two people in their escape today when more beasts started to appear and some of them saw them chased after them before they met Chris group.

" Ok but we won't go hide now it's our chance to level up the beasts are getting intelligent and it's rare to have a horde that jumped at us blindly, if you stay to fight you will follow our order "

I told them not to try to persuade them to stay, it was their choice if they want to get stronger and if they choose to stay they better follow our order and for me, it was the most important otherwise they might get us killed by doing something stupid.

The next second after we heard the sound the shadow was already above us and was targeting Sarah and Emily but the snake protecting them didn't let him advance, leaping at the snake using his tail while opening his mouth to bites what looked like an eagle from its look with sharp and long talons stretched toward the snake.

They both fell to the ground destroying the surroundings with their weight, the snake coiling the eagle trying to crush his body with his strength but the eagle fought back piercing the snake's scales easily making the snake let out a hissed sound but kept pressuring the eagle.

They were destroying the cars in the plaza and the status in their fight making everyone retreated to not get caught in their fight.

I didn't wait to see who will be the won their fight before I rushed turning around them while they were fighting and slashed at the eagle's neck once I saw he was trying to attack the snake with his curved spout and cut his head off which fell a little away from his body letting blood trace all over the plaza already stained in blood.

It seemed although he had great speed but his natural defense didn't evolve too with his feather being really soft when I touched his body.

I then received a prompt telling me I killed a level four eagle that I dismissed, I was about to search for the energy core when the snake took the eagle's huge body with him coming back near Sarah and Emily I was about to shout at him but Lisa stopped me.

" Stop it he saved Sarah and Emily life and besides it's not like if we can't get another level four core now with our strength "

I just glanced at him seeing how he bites the eagle's chest may be to find the energy core and went back to talk about what I was talking about before the eagle attack.

We finally decided to go search for prey because just like now, staying at the same place seemed pretty dumb, and the fact that we didn't meet too many highs leveled beasts didn't mean they weren't and we almost lost Sarah and Emily because of our mistake.

We told Clement and George group and they decided to follow us after some tough when we came back following the path with the road to enter the city center.

We faced numerous attacks but only from some small group of level three beasts the level fours beasts after they saw us just hide while still following us, but after the snake and Emily and Sarah attack when they were trying to attack us when we were fighting in our back they retreated not dared to mess with us anymore.

It's been an hour already and all this time it was only the same level of beasts we fought normally but for Clement and George's group, it was like a nightmare with beasts jumping at them every time they pass a small alley.

Their heart was on the verge to explode this group of people wasn't well in their mind to walk in the street in broad daylight even if they kept a close formation not letting down their guard it was still a suicidal thing to do for them but thank to that they were now all at level two, and more coordinate when fighting.

We were now near the office buildings at the entrance of the city center and they were now almost completely covered with vine while the smell of grasses assaulted our nose, the road now almost covered by grasses gave a feeling of an abandoned city for years even if it been one day since they passed here.

But we didn't have to go out of the city center since we heard once again growls coming from the road that leads to the city center and this time it was clearer than before.

My sense of danger was warning me but now with my bloodline upgrade, I could feel a little to thirty-meter so when the beasts were in my range I could feel their energy, and almost all of them were level four beasts with a huge group of people running from them I couldn't count how much they were.

But by focusing so much it intensified my hearing senses without I know it, and their growls make my ear ringing like if I got hit with a bat in the head gasping from the pain, I stopped gasping this time I was reckless it seemed when I use my ability to feel the surroundings it also increase my sense and with my new upgrade I wasn't prepared for it.

I couldn't hear well for one or two seconds due to the piercing sound from my hurting ear but it quickly calmed down.

" Get ready this time it will be rough I am not sure if we could protect ourselves so clement and George group go back with Sarah and Emily you will be a burden if you stay in front "

I started to tell them that a new horde was coming and they didn't dare wait for a second as we started to place cars in front of one of the streets of the plaza of the city center wide enough to let them a place to fight but still enough to block some of the beasts with the cars or at least try to slow them down.

And in two minutes thank to the snake's help we were able to place two rows of cars it wouldn't be helpful but it's better than nothing.

' We wanted to level up now is our chance, hope I don't make the wrong decision to stay here instead to go back to the mall '

Chris was starting to doubt his choice he knows the others agreed so far because his plan didn't fail but here we talk to fight a horde alone, with only his group and a big snake, he didn't count Clement and George's group.

They stayed here because they couldn't go back alone with all those level three beasts roaming around in the street they took to come here.

" Ok guys I think it's better to prepare for the worst once we feel things are getting out of control we retreat directly so warn those two group to be ready for the run of their life "

I told the others although my heart was beating faster and my hand trembling I didn't want to back down, it was what I wanted to fight to feel this thrill of danger getting close to me, it was crazy but it was how I felt and my bloodline seemed to react to my state strengthening me, slowly my senses getting sharper while I felt the energy coursing in my body before my mind cut all the useless talk and unless someone touched me or if I used energy perception that I will come out of this state, I learned about this particularity after the end of a fight the others warned me that I wasn't responding to them only moving left to right dodging and slicing anything that came to close of me apart from Hector that was fine.

The horde beasts quickly came into our view making me stop my inner thoughts, there was a group of humans around twenty or thirty of them but they were slowly reducing in number with the beasts behind them pouncing on them ending their life.

But after they saw the small barrier of cars, they started to run using their remaining strength not daring to turn their head.

The rest about fifteen or twenty people were able to pass the cars and run toward us, but after seeing the snake they started to run in different directions in the street taking the small alleys not even trying to think that the snake was behind humans but didn't attack them.

not sure if they will survive but some didn't hesitate even with the snake behind us and still came, their mind only thinking to go behind those people that seemed enough crazy to stay there waiting for the group of beasts that chased after them.

The beasts behind pushed aside the car making them roll on the side destroying them completely with some of them exploding killing the unlucky beasts that were close to it.
