Unfortunately I don't have a chapter finished for this week. My plans of writing ahead on my vacation went out the window as my time was taken up by previous commitments. (Primarily painting commissions.) I will be putting this weeks chapter up as early as possible in the next few days. To fill space, and to hopefully make up for the late update, here is the title and opening paragraph to a side project I've been working on.

The Ruin of Dreams

In an inn, in a city surrounded by rolling hills, a man awakes from a dream to find straw poking into his back. This is unusual, as he does not remember falling asleep in a straw bed. In fact, upon further reflection, he realizes that he does not remember falling asleep at all. Something scratches across his skin as he shifts around in the warm, if sharp, bed. He removes the covers to find that not only did he fall asleep in a warm, sharp, straw bed, but that he also fell asleep dressed in a scratchy woolen travelling outfit.
