《History of the Orcs According to, The Beginning: Breath Of War》History of the Orcs - Slave Revolts

The march back through the Open Plains towards the Red Wasteland, brought news of even greater disasters occurring all over their Empire. The Ogrekan under the new leadership of Dead Eyes a powerful warrior with ancestry dating back to the very beginning of the Kahloon Wars, was making a push to reclaim their lost lands from their hideaways in the forest. The Goblins of Caldasher their strongest allies in the wars against the other realms, were in the midst of a great civil war as those, who followed the will of Sezrath clashed with the believers of the old ways. But the worst news came from The Red Lands, where bands of rebel warriors supported by a Minotaur army landing on the shores of the emerald sea had launched co-ordinated revolt to re-take all five Cities. The only surviving Orcish and allied forces remaining in the region were now at the fortress of The Prickly Beast, and BrokenSkull. Meaning their path through the Red Lands, was no longer be safe.
The Warhordes arriving at Fortress the Brokenskull also learned that the Dwarves despite sustaining heavy casualties beneath the Mountains, were unifying under a single Dwarven banner to marshal a grand army, the likes of which, have never been seen before in the Dwarven Realms for thousands of years. This bit of news, while perplexing, did not get in the way of the Orcish war plans. For they would return again one day to deal with them properly. Which only leaves the Horselords of the Open Plains, the only realm to not openly battle against the Warhordes. Overly quiet for the last couple of months, the Centaurs have taken to avoiding the Warhordes, probably in the hopes the Orcish armies would overlook them on their march home. And for the most part, the Warhordes did ignore them, only striking back at those Centaurs, who sent raiding parties against them.

Under the new leadership of High Shaman Karsog, the Warlords decided to halt their march at the Fortress of Brokenskull to re-supply and decide their best course of action. Most of the Warlords were in favor of dividing their forces, so that they could continue their march towards Orkeylium as many worried what the loss of the goblins would mean for the thousands of Orcs that relied upon them for meat.
With their path set out before them High Shaman Karsog ordered that Warlord Magrobark along with Karoon and Zarkan remain behind to deal with Redlings and Minotaurs, while the remaining seven Warhordes push on ahead towards Caldasher. A strange command seeing as Warlord Magrobark was the most experienced battle field commander and would surely be needed in the fight for Orkelium. But with no way to argue against Lord Sezrath's will without appearing as an unbeliever, Magrobark was forced to obey, despite his misgivings. He along with his fellow Warlords marched their forces south-west, while the army marched south;splitting their forces in two. Roughly 130,000 Orcs marched south, while around 50,000 remained behind to take care of the Redling rebellion.
A task that would be difficult to achieve with the Minotaurs providing the Redlings with troops, weapons and much needed supplies. Because of this Warlord Magrobark ordered his Warhordes to march towards the Emerald Coast, instead of to the Cities. His aim, to disrupt supply lines, and force the enemy into giving him battle. Then he could deal with the rebellious Redling Cities one by one. To this end he requested Warlord Zarkan to make a circular sweep to the north- west and Warlord Karoon to the South- West. Creating a pincer movement that would meet upon the Emerald Coast to smash whatever forces were opposing them.

Slowed down by prevailing sandstorms and gusts of wind. The Minotaurs with their 20,000 warriors were able to slip through the arms of the three Orcish armies to meet up with the Redling war host numbering 47,000. The two allied forces able to move much more swiftly upon the desert than their Orc counter parts were then able to splinter their forces again and come at Warlord Zarkan's forces from two sides. What the Redlings and Minotaurs did not realise was that Warlord Magrobark had expected this move and was already on his way to reinforce Warlord Zarkan. Two miles out from the Town of Lorin, a battle raged between the allied forces and Warlord Zarkan, and despite being heavily outnumbered. The Iron Skins along with Berserkers were slowly turning the tide of the battle.
Once the Redlings and Minotaurs learned a second Warhorde had stolen a march on them and were closing in on their rear. Their forces scrambled to disengage and retreat back towards the Emerald Coast, where their ships were awaiting them. Only for the allied forces to be cut off by the third advancing Warhorde led by Karoon, who assaulted and burned as many warships, before driving the remnants of the fleet out to sea. Completely outmaneuvered, the Redlings alongside the Minotaurs prepared to meet their death, when a messenger arrived. Reading: "Surrender, and you shall live. Fight, and you will die." The Redling leader a former slave named Durgen, who had fought many Orcs in the pits and survived. Refused point blank to return to a life of a slave, as did all his fellow warriors. The Minotaur Lord Swift Axe seeing the bravery of these warriors is said to have remarked, "You should have been a Minotaur."
The next day the three Warhordes brought their forces to bear down upon the rebellious army, fighting a battle that lasted much of day. A fierce battle, with all the enemy fighting to the death A battle that would cost the Warhordes thousands of goblins and hundreds of Orc warriors. In the end outnumbered and surrounded the entire army was wiped out. To honor the sacrifice of these brave warriors, Warlord Magrobark is said to have buried the Minotaurs at sea so that they may return home and the Redlings beneath the sands they loved so much.

Though, my sinister laugh may still need some practice. I was Summoned as a Hero , but I Became the Demon Lord Instead Volume 1 Word Count: 108K Including Volume Exclusive Content Available on Amazon Edit: If you don’t get the timeline that’s because the rate at which time flows in different worlds are not equal. In addition, timelines do not neccesarily run parallel to each other, they may cascade such that when summoned to another world you may get summoned from a different reference frame in the timeline of another world’s with respect to your own. Scientific constants can change from one plane to the next. The natural laws that govern each world is not necessarily the same across them all. Some may display similarities, while others may be the complete opposite where rather than aging forwards you actually age in reverse. Newborns could be born elderly and withered, but when they are born into the world, their body regresses towards death in reverse.

The Core of a Factory
An abandoned steampunk arms factory, in the middle of a conflict torn former state of the Empire it served, gains a soul. This transforms it into a Lord, capable of turning land into power. Beset by enemies on all sides it must figure out how to win the war its creators lost a century ago. This is a progressive Dungeon Core novel (which is to say the core will progress and expand in scale, eventually) across multiple dimensions with different characteristics (e.g. steampunk, magic, mythological). It has rationalist leanings (paragraphs of reasoning) and litrpg leanings (there are stat blocks). The core game mechanical idea is something like "what if different flavors of magic power actually did come from controlling land" and then the story is: "what if there was a flavorless (artifact deck) dungeon core". Chapters will be relatively short (my aim is that in three column format each would fit on a wide screen monitor), the first few chapters - setting up the main character and mechanics - are currently the longest in the entire series. I write chapters in blocks, and then release them one a weekday (M-F; 6 PM GMT, unless RoyalRoad's publish thing screws up) until I run out. There may be a few days of gaps here and there if someone finds an egregious error I have to re-write around or if I am behind. In general though one can read this once a weekend. I may do slight retconns and edits, I'll make sure to put it in an authors note if I do.
