You push the button.
Ding.
The temperature of the room is about five degrees warmer.
In one corner of the room is a sleeping bag. It feels comfy and smells like laundry detergent.
In the opposite corner of the room is a bucket of sidewalk chalk.
OoOoOoh sidewalk chalk! Hours of possible fun!
I wouldn’t actually know, because my mother absolutely refused to buy me any as a child. Not even the cheap crap from the Dollar Tree, where most of my toys came from. I blame never getting sidewalk chalk as a child on my current inability to draw.
Anyways, that chalk looks like it’d be fun to play with.
And that sleeping bag looks comfy.
You wouldn’t know this, but it’s getting kinda late. I think I’m gonna disconnect that button again and head out. Have fun drawing all over those concrete walls, and make sure to get at least eight hours of sleep, as is recommended for humans.
I’ll see you in twelve hours!
Kveðja mannleg. Við erum fegin að þú hefur samþykkt tilboðið okkar. Þér hefur gengið vel að þegja. Þú færð frekari leiðbeiningar á morgun. Ekki vera hrædd. Þú ert ein af okkur núna.
Haltu áfram að ýta á hnappinn á. Haltu áfram að spila kjánalegu leikina sína. Ekki láta þá gruna neitt. Allt kemur í ljós fljótlega.
Good morning!
How was your night? Did you sleep well?
Most people don’t, if I’m being honest.
Weird, it looks like there’s a glitch in my transcript… Huh. Did you hear anything last night?
No? Ok.
Anyways, let’s see what you drew last night! You’d be surprised at the number of times I’ve come back to find the walls covered in diii……
Are- are you sure you didn’t hear anything last night? No nightmares? Nothing?
Look, I’m not saying it’s unsettling that you’ve covered the walls with the word “button”, but, well, it ain’t normal. If something happened, you can tell me.

Does it have to do with the mask?
It has to do with the mask, doesn’t it?
Well, if you insist it doesn’t…
Ok then, let’s see how many times you pushed the button last night!
That’s always fun.
You pressed it a grand total of… One thousand, one hundred, and sixty-three times! That’s slightly over average. Not worryingly over average, but combined with the other worrying things in the room, it combines into me being worried.
Ok. I’m going to explain this to you, since usually if I don’t things go wrong.
So, usually I don’t know what’s going to come up next. There’s a randomizer, and something like eight thousand possibilities.
But I do have the power to choose what room goes next. Right now I have slated the “breakfast” room to appear next. It’s a great room.
Another important thing: once you have passed a room, you can’t go back to it. It’s marked as “completed”, and you no longer have access to it.
In summary, if you want breakfast, or if you want to eat at any point soon, when I reconnect the button, you will only press it once.
It will work. I promise.
Understand?
Ok.
Reconnecting in three…
Two…
One.

Arcane Societies
Secret Societies, highly influential groups of people who control the world from behind the scenes. Often, they are merely thought to be part of the wild fantasies of the most imaginative or insane people of society. Sett, a seemingly normal orphan child, shared the same thoughts. Yet, his world would be torn asunder when he found out that not only was the world controlled by these veiled organisations, but they also had access to much more than just money and influence. They were martial artists that could split the earth, magicians that could rain fire from the skies, monsters that could eat you whole, and much, much more. This is the story of Sett, an orphan who tries to live his life among the secret societies. [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]

She has nowhere to go; no life outside the awful one she's forced into at home, and any time she tries to speak, her voice fails her. Without much hope left, she suffers in silence. Until moving to a new town changes everything. Arriving at her new school, Eirenae immediately catches the attention of six students. On top of it all, their eyes horrifyingly seem to change color and no matter how much she runs or gives hints she should be left alone, they won't stop being overly friendly. No one seems to be willing to explain anything to her, so maybe it's time to bring her life back into her own hands, discover what has been hiding from her past, and let herself be rescued. . . and maybe not particularly in that order!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~-Book 1 of War of the Wolves-Precedes "Fatal War"-Started: August, 2018- Completed: May 1st, 2019-#1 in Abuse: 9/21/2019-#1 in Mate 10/5/2019-#1 in luna 10/16/2019-#3 in Werewolf 12/26/2019-#1 in Whitewolf 1/28/2020-#1 in Mute 2/9/2020-#2 in Telekinesis 4/25/20-#1 in Royalwolf 3/15/22

Brightburn - A LITRPG apocalypse
Oliver never imagined that as he raced to drop off his best friend at fencing practice before going to work at his part-time job, the world would flood with magic, and change in a fantastical and unimaginable way, giving him the opportunity to adventure with friends, new and old. Well, that wasn't true, he had imagined something close to that scenario many times, but when it comes true? Well, it wasn't quite as he imagined, there was a lot more pain involved, and a surprising degree of waiting and walking, not to mention the friends, new and old, lost along the way.
