Pushing open the gate, Wang Yan saw the yellow dog wagging its tail.

The air was filled with fragrance, and a slight sniff made her feel as if the pores on all of her skins were opened. With just one sniff, the wound and external and internal injury started healing at a fast speed.

Her eyes sparkled. 'What is this treasure? '

She even thought she was going to make a breakthrough in her cultivation.

Zhang Jian put the pot of soup back on top of the range and flavored the soup with some chili-like spices in the kitchen. After adding more water to it, he took half portion of the bacon hanging on the girder.

"She looks so fragile as if a gust of wind would blow her away. Well, she must not eat properly for days. I would add some meat for her this time."

The fact was light and lithe body was a must for a cultivator.

Wang Yan entered the hall and exclaimed, "It smell so good!" She felt her Qi begin to burn inside her.

"Whoop..."

Sweat broke out on the body of Wang Yan as the meridians inside her body swelled under the stimulation of the dense fragrance.

A figure paced out of the kitchen. Looking at Wang Yan, who sweated like hell, Zhang Jian asked awkwardly, "Is it a bit too... Hot?"

Wan Yan believed that he was dropping her a hint. And it was good to be hot as it meant the progress of her cultivation.

Sure enough, the fragrance was created by the senior before her.

Zhang Jian nodded. "Here, taste my soup."

Before Wang Yan could inquire about her master, Zhang Jian interrupted her.

She had to do as told.

Seated at the table, Wan Yan found surprisingly that all the great fragrance was coming out from the pot of most common vegetable soup with meat in it.

"The Qi ... is horrifying dense!"

The look of the soup was ordinary, but Qi coming out from it was something she had never seen before.

"Senior, do you notice the wounds and pains I am suffering inside my body so you make me the soup with precious herbs, trying to help me recover?"

Zhang Jian turned around to look for cutlery in the cupboard. His house was relatively isolated, and he had few visitors. So an extra old porcelain bowl was what he had other than the ones he used daily.

Just when he was trying to explain, the bowl of soup in front of him was emptied. And Wang Yan sat there with a bulging belly.

"What the...?"

Wang Yan's face blushed with embarrassment.

"It smells so good, I cannot help myself..."

Wan Yan made an apology with great courtesy. And the bulging belly made her look funny and adorable.

When she smelled the soup at close range, the Qi in her body rushed to her head so abruptly that she lost her mind completely. When she came back to herself, there was only one empty bowl before her eyes.

Zhang Jian waved his hand hurriedly. "It is nothing. I just cannot stand the complicated etiquette."

Wang Yan nodded and stuck out his tongue playfully.

Zhang Jian was not pissed off by her but asked sincerely, "Is my soup so good?"

Both the vegetables and bacon were what he obtained in the mountains. It was nothing special.

It seemed the little girl did not fare well with Older Man Xiao. He made up his mind that he would lecture him about this the next time he met him.

He went back into the kitchen to fetch some dishes and took out two pairs of chopsticks. "Luckily, we have enough chopsticks."

Seeing Zhang Jian pass her the chopsticks, Wang Yan wanted to turn it down at first, but the great fragrance's temptation was so strong that he found it so hard to resist. Plus the sincerity in his eyes, she took over the chopsticks happily and willingly.

She picked up some bean sprouts and put them in her mouth. The bean sprouts melted and turned into a current of Qi going down her nose, throat to her stomach. As the Qi circulated in her body, she found it was healing and improving her body!

As the Qi went to her head, it split in two.

A small portion remained in the head to slowly enhance the power of her mind; the rest poured into the acupoints all over her body.

Her eyes lit up, and she hurried to pick up a large portion.

"How can I improve my aptitude by eating?"

She was moved to tears.

Seeing Wang Yan sobbing, Zhang Jian was at a loss.

Damn Older Man Xiao! She must have been poorly treated. This little girl had been acting so queerly on such a simple, home-cooked meal.

He picked up some food for her gain, "Take your time. It is all yours."
