《I indeed don't know how to cultivate》chapter 5 Defeat

Succuba had to believe what Wang Yan said.
Gathering her strength, she regained control of her body and then sped away. Then, the demons spreading all over the mountains and hills receded like a falling tide.
Succuba's voice echoed in the empty valley, "I would declare this one a tie. For the sake of the grand master behind, your life share be pardoned."
Now thousands of miles away, Long Yi found it hard to believe, "How can that be!"
He even slapped himself in the face to make sure that he was not dreaming, even if the presence of their master would not have resolved this crisis that easily.
And all it took was a painting?
It was such a mind-blowing fact that ultimately overthrew how he saw the real power in the world.
Turning his head around, he gave up his intention of going for his master.
Wang Yan looked down at the disciples of Purple Sect, who were all jaw-dropping at the scene, and said somewhat awkwardly, "Relax, we shall be fine for now. Everyone take some rest to recover yourselves."
She thought the painting would bail her out of that predicament, while it turned out to defeat the demons and drive them all away.
In an instant, all the members of the Purple Sect cheered.
"Victory!
"Our lives are spared!"
"Bro, I am so fearful for my life. I thought I was doomed..."
A ray of light came rushing towards them from a distance.
Wan Yan sensed Long Yi was in an awful situation and flashed forward to catch him before falling.
With his face deadly pale, Long Yi forced a smile and coughed, "Sis, you made it... Cough, cough!"
His Qi was in such a disorder and running madly in his body as the injury on his body broke again, and blood oozed from his wound.

"Have you used the forbidden spell?"
She did not need his answer to know for sure. She took out a small porcelain bottle from her chest and poured out two pills to supplement their consumed Qi, one for Long Yi and one for herself. Then the two sat cross-legged together and started healing their wounds.
In the hall, Wang Yan felt terrible for the injured elders.
"The damage is so bad?"
All the elders lowered their heads and did not dare to look at her.
Since the master went missing and Long Yi took the time to recover himself, Wan Yan took over the businesses, tremendous or petty.
After a moment of deliberation, she made a decision.
"Let's call it a day! Go back to your own post and look after your own disciples. Purple Sect's destine is at stake, I shall show no mercy to the clowns whoever trying to make a wave at the moment..." She opened the roll of painting to let out a burst of intimidating Qi.
She knew better than anyone else that some fellow apprentices were even worse than the demons in the room, even if they acted like men of integrity.
All the elders, with or without an evil intention was intimidated by the mysterious and strong Qi coming out from the roll.
...
Wan Yan waited patiently after casting the spell at the seal guarding the door to the house seated behind the grand palace of Purple Sect. Soon, the magic seal of the door was lifted.
She stood at the threshold and talked to Long Yi, who sat in mediation to recover himself, "Bro, Purple Sect is still counting on you. As for the search of our master... Leave it to me."
Long Yi nodded silently. Wan Yan turned around and rode on her Purple Sword, which was shining a dazzling light.

Long Yi was a bit worried, "Hopefully... Master would be safe."
////////////////////////////////////
Zhang Jian was making vegetable soup in the kitchen.
The smell wafted through the house. Cerberus's tail wagged wildly outside, his eyes glistening.
"Woof..."
Hearing Cerberus barking, Zhang Jian complained, "Every time I cook soup, you bark impatiently..."
Even so, he still filled half of its bowl up with soup.
Zhang Jian was stunned at the way Cerberus licked the bowl.
"Do the dogs here like vegetables so much?"
Cerberus's wagging tail suddenly stiffened before it argued.
"Not again?! Hum!"
Wang Yan was riding the sword in the air while a muffled sound from afar stroke her on the chest and into her soul. Qi flow within her body was disturbed. She tried hard to regain her balance on the sword.
"Girl, you again?"
She was startled at the voice from a seemingly old man sounding in her ear.
Soul voice transmission from afar... It meant this senior could attack her and deal damage at her if he wanted to.
The usual distance of sonic wave transmission was within the range of attack.
Wan Yan showed her intention honestly, "I am here to see a senior in the hut and ask about my master's whereabouts. My apologies if I trespass your territory. It would be highly appreciated if you could let me pass."
Seconds later, the voice rang in her head again.
"In that case... Come on in."
Being permitted, Wan Yan kept ongoing. Landing in front of the house, she thought, "Would it be too rude for me to keep bothering the senior."
Just while she was hesitating, a gentle voice came from the yard.
"Come in and have a seat."
Wang Yan's pupils shrank, "It seems that the elder knows I will come." That was not surprising.
Seeing Wang Yan standing outside the courtyard from the kitchen, Zhang Jian thought she had been waiting for a long time without knowing that she had flown here on her sword.

Path of Righteousness
What do you desire? What are you afraid of? You run away from one, pursuing the other. Is that all you are? Conquer your fears. Dig to the bottom and confirm, what you really want... ...For you cannot escape suffering and death. You only have a little time. Use it wisely. Uru, a young boy with no talent for magic or fighting, sets out on a quest to become an avatar of order, the physical embodiment of righteousness, in a distant future, where control of origin energy allows people to defy physics and manipulate causality. Mocked by fate and broken by impossible dreams, all that's left is to stand in defiance to cruel existence. Because there is a Truth out there, somewhere. Singular, transcendent, eternal. What would you sacrifice for it? *** This is a fantastic sci-fi epic. It's going to blend both western and eastern traditional fantasy tropes – like might & magic and cultivation – with rational sci-fi grounded fully in reality, to produce a purely fictional fairy tale. I'd like to deliver something light-hearted and yet wholly serious. An uplifting adventure exploring the unfathomable reaches of humanity, free of indecency, with a healthy dose of humorous banter, legendary beings, and most importantly – lots of exciting, firework-filled mayhem! I've tried reading many web novels, but there's a fundamental problem with them – the eastern ones are annoyingly repetitive, superficial and morally destitute, while western ones are often dark, convoluted and profane. There's only so much one can do to filter out the bad and try to fill in the gaps with their own imagination. It's one thing to eat tasty fast food, but if it's moldy and filled with toxins, then it's not only poisonous, but also disgusting. The appreciation of beauty and higher values is disappearing at an alarming rate. Although there are throngs of talented people out there, none of them are creating what I want to witness – an inspiring battle against impossible odds, ending in absolute victory. A triumph of the spirit so overwhelming, it crushes the spectator into his seat and takes his breath away. I'm looking for a real paragon, so now I'd like to try conceiving one. *** The MC's name comes from Tolkien's Elven dictionary in Silmarillion, 'Uru' meaning 'Fire', and 'Dagnir an Uruloki' meaning 'Slayer of Dragons'. *** Note: I'm neither a native speaker, nor an aficionado of literature – I've never written anything before, and despite proficient English my literary prowess is abysmal. It therefore takes me a painful amount of effort to polish the chapters and bring them up to par. Last year I wrote and posted some on FictionPress, but I stopped since it wasn't going anywhere. The appalling amount of filth and mediocrity being peddled in all the media nowadays – a result of no conspiracy to manipulate the masses, but plain supply and demand – is no longer just the triumph of form over substance, but most worryingly corruption of the latter. Who wants to read about ideals anymore? And yet, masses flock together to gobble up perversion and depravity. That being said, I can't rule out pitiful exposure as the culprit to my failure, so I am now once again trying to increase it here, possibly for the last time. If there are still human beings present, hungry or in need of a detox after eating too much garbage, make yourselves heard, so I can see a reason to continue the story. Otherwise it's pointless – I'm not going to make fodder for the masses, and I'm most certainly not going to throw pearls before swine. I'll simply stop writing altogether.

I'm Sure It'll be Fine! ...right?
We live to die, and die to live again. This Cycle continues, neither to Begin nor End. Ever Beginning, never to End, we come to the story of our Unusual Friend. The Gods are as varied and unique as the mortals that worship them. Some are kind, others are fluffy, and (given the nature of the multiverse) a few are Eldrich Abominations of Unspeakable Horror. But that's fine, those few tend to mind their own business... At least until an Eldrich Abomination (an interdimensional cosmic slime-mold specifically) gets itself devoured by a Lich during a ritual to obtain Godhood... Especially because anyone, even a Lich, who's willing to eat an ENTIRE COSMIC SLIME-MOLD for any reason, even godhood, is undoubtedly a madman...who's now set his unsightly gaze upon replacing (likely by devouring) the Godess of Magic herself! She could probably use some help...if only to avoid touching the slimy Lichgod directly. Also, the Eldrich Gods are protesting these events in their usual manner...by trying to destroy all of Creation.
