Even an unknowing act counts for something=> Though unknowingly you have released a spirit that was held unconscious for millenia due to the forgetfulness of your ancestor, perhaps your family has finally stopped misbehaving?
Achievement gained!
Proving the system wrong again=> By ignoring every single prompt through sheer bespellment you have once again fooled the system! Here’s your achievement! +15 to all stats. +30 to Wisdom.
‘So...A Spirit...And some stats? Also why is the system so against my family now? What did we do?’ I shook my head in frustration at the window, I was tired of always not being in the know, always not knowing something important, I needed to remedy that wether Meemauy liked it or not.
Having a goal in mind, I left the cave, ignoring the Spirit and everything else in favour of actually knowing what they were. Sneaking back into an alcove wasn’t hard given that the Library was full of them. It was finding the correct book that troubled me. Till now the only worthwhile reading that I had found was the one given to me, everything else was either enjoyable fiction or useless. The palace library had a filing system that while being the bane of most of its royals was also actually useful, if a bit overcomplicated.
Now I just needed to figure out the filing system. Let’s see this shelf has romance, war fiction, slice of life fiction...and every other fiction. Next shelf, fiction, fiction...Next, still fiction...Next, fiction...Next, fiction...Next, fiction...Next, fiction...Next, fiction...Next, fiction...Next, fiction...This is useless, I just went through an entire alcove and only fictions in sight. System you wouldn’t happen to know what the filing system is?
Request received!
Library operates on a choice filing system,
Current choice is -[ Fiction ]
“Change category, switch to general knowledge” I said, irritated that the system refused to inform me about things like this. I should just blame my family, they’re the ones that pissed off the system.
Wandel, Water Spirit, bonded to a particular baby
Wandel was shocked by the changes its environment had gone through while it was asleep, where once it had been in a dying lake it was now...wherever this was.

The water was strangely moving here, at speeds greater than that of even the fastest fish in the lake, was this a river? No rivers flowed horizontally this was vertical, water was just falling here...falling wasn’t there a really old spirit that had spoken of their being something called a waterfall near the lake a long time ago? Was this that?
As Wandel was ruminating over the existence of the waterfall it found itself being moved away from the waterbody, something that should be impossible for a spirit as young as Wandel but was it still young?
‘That’s a good question’ Wandel thought as it summoned its status ‘How long have I been asleep for?’

‘Oldest Newborn huh’ Walden thought, it had heard of record titles but had never expected to earn one. If it had not been a Knowledge attuned Lake Water Spirit, a species known for there serene and calm nature it would be feeling something about the sheer amount of time that had passed, instead, it thought of the titles and the knowledge that it may earn from it, not quite anticipating it but instead awaiting it, lazy and inactive after all was another trait of a Water Spirit.
Soon enough though that dream too was lost forever as its journey away from water continued. It was not long before Walden realised that it seemed to be following one being in particular.A humanoid creature that was for some reason, walking on fours, if Wandel remembered correctly that was not how creatures of such kind walked they were usually bipedal, perhaps this was a new species?
The system then pinged Walden and said
Bond Synergy increased: Spirit has detected Bonded
So apparently that four legged humanoid was its bond, at least it should prove a wealth of knowledge for Walden knew next to nothing about four legged humanoids or even humanoids in general.
As Walden watched the humanoid removed a thing, likely a book, from a shelf. Walden had never seen books before, water and these repositories apparently did not go well together. I had often wondered what gains it would receive from one. Now it had the opportunity to find out.
The book was titled ‘Spirits and their kinds’, curious Walden hovered over the humanoids shoulder in an attempt to read the book.

Spirits are a subject which has fascinated many throughout Algrea for millenia, thus I, Salvator Malruise, shall attempt to shed light on these mysterious creatures.
Millenia ago, Algrea received a large falling block of rock, something we now call comets. It brought about great destruction and wiped out several of the dominant species. On that comet was a nascent species that would come to be known as Spirits.
Ancient Banmeru have tried to justify the spirits presence and place in our society, to some of our ancestors the Spirits were powerful beings that would aid them in return for offerings, we now know that these beings were simply Spirits being lazy and keeping their charges weak, it is highly unlikely that the early Spirits were in anyway greater in power than the early Banmeru.
Moving on to more interesting topics, types of spirits. There are many types of spirits, we shall go through each of them.
First up, th Primal Spirits, useless to the extreme in all but their most unique forms, these are the Spirits I would not suggest anyone bond with.
Nevertheless I shall describe them.
Suddenly the humanoid started flipping through the pages, finally stopping at a page that read.
Finally we have the most useful Primal Spirit. A Knowledge attuned Water Spirit. As explained in previous pages, the attenuation of a Spirit is similar to its class, except that it defines the process by which a Spirit grows instead of the goal it must achieve.
The Knowledge attuned Spirits are Spirits that seek knowledge above all else. They were merely rare until 35000 years ago when the Emperor Lasconiar ordered them extinct to force one of the Oldest of their Kind to reveal the location of Queen Tyrant Alice, one of the three first generation Transmigrators.
In revenge, the Older Spirits destroyed the Empire under the leadership of the Queen Tyrant. Sadly the war ended with the Knowledge attuned Water Spirits extinct. There was for centuries rumour of the Lake of Knowledge where the last of these spirits lived. The rumour was verified to be false by Earl Darvin of the second generation Transmigrators 15000 years ago.
These spirits are however unsuitable for bonding, so it is my suggestion to the reader that if he/she/they were to find one such Spirit then they should submit it to the Glauseus Institute of Spirits, we assure you that you will be rewarded handsomely for the effort.
Suddenly the humanoid slammed the book shut, opened the last page and read something that was written there

The Happy Village
Note: This story has ended. This is not the final version since it needs a lot of revisions, so this is a testing ground for a newbie like me. Note 2: This novel is also posted on justlightnovels.com. Surrounded by the beauty and grace of Mother Nature, there lies a little village. In serenity the villagers live without much worries except for their jobs and personal lives - after all, there seems to be no major problem at first. Everybody is happy, everybody is well. That goes the same for two girls, Neha and Sachen, who are friends since childhood, and who believe that they will stick with each other forever. But one day, the High Order of the Celestials announces that the gods are angry at the village due to the rise of sin and corruption. They will take extensive measures to ensure the village’s survival, though for the girls, things are not what they seem. A series of events will forever condemn the girls in agony and sorrow, and will tear apart their little hearts.
