Celestial Peak Chapter 544

The Deities saw the two figure disappear into nothing. They could tell, in a split second of seeing her, that it was their creator, the one who crafted their flesh from the blood of the Ancestors. They all fell into tears seeing her disappear.
Some questioned the legitimacy of what they saw, looking around, they saw holding their emotion back only to fail and break into tears. The Deities, the ones standing at the peak of power all shed tears.
There are those who tried to approach the Mountain, seeing if they could see the one who came before. But they could not even approach it any closer than a hundred meters from below. An invisible force was keeping them away.
Bai Xue could hear the falling of their tears really clearly and sensing the hundreds that had gathered on the base of the mountain, she sighed, "So Predecessor Chun didn't want to have them approach."
Though the one who erected the barrier was already gone it still remained erected without a problem, 'She's weakened but she's still so impressive. Not even a quarter of her strength but this barrier can probably last for the next hundred years, well, if no one breaks it from the outside, that is… this seems similar… is it the same that Ling used when he tried to take the Origin General with him?'
The barrier was strikingly similar. But Bai Xue didn't want to think about it any further as it left a sour taste in her mouth. She was still absolutely livid that Wang Ling chose to die in the past, 'Peh, I want to rip his body limb from limb again.'
She cursed but proceeded to gently carry Wang Ling from the ground. Her soft tail wrapped around his body and then she used the remaining tail to carry the fallen Ancestors. The Five Ancestors of the Deities were lifted from the ground, they all had tear streaks going down from the corners of their eyes, "Don't worry, children, you can cry all you like." She stated ever so softly to them.

Their immense sadness was out of this world. Even though they unconscious, they knew what happened, more so than the other Deities, even.
Bai Xue's body slowly grew to five meters and then as she walked down the Mountain and reached the edge of the barrier, she erased the barrier and from afar, Deities came flooding to her direction.
"Mother!" the four acting leaders of the Deities all simultaneously shouted out to Bai Xue sensing her presence. They all stopped just ten meters away from her like they had always done.
"I am fine, it was simply a scuffle from the past. If you felt what happened, then, yes, it was the previous Mother of Beast who I had fought. She… it is a long story, I will tell it to everyone later, first, I need to take care of them."
Bai Xue raised the four Ancestors behind her.
"The Ancestors, returned? Wait, what happened to them? Are they injured?" Jel and Tel spoked in unison.
Every single Deity raised their brows. It had been several millennia since the Ancestors disappeared, as to why, it remained unknown, only that they suddenly disappeared soon after the Deity Paradise was created. But now, they returned.
"I will tell everyone the details about this matter for later. And yes, it has something to do with my previous incarnation, they were controlled and had to be sent to another dimension with her while she's tainted with twisted obsessions."
Bai Xue left as those words were heard. The Deities Wang Ling for everyone to see. Everyone gasped and Bai Xue slowly rose from the ground, "I will address the matters of the Ancestors and my Predecessor for later. First, I must go and tend to their wounds, also… Acting Leaders."
"Yes?" five stepped up and took a knee to Bai Xue.

"Go and gather everyone. Those who are in hibernation are to be waken up, and those who needs training are to be called in action. It is time for the Deities to prepare ourselves into stepping into the light."
Bai Xue left the Deities confused, but some of them had a quick shift their expressions. From depression to that of excitement and anticipation, their preparation for the last 15,000 years was about to be activated.
"Everyone! We're going to return to the battlefield!" Akil raised his hands in celebration. After all this time, they are finally going out and like the Mother promised them, they would be going out to a battlefield.
Olivia standing next to Akil tapped his shoulders, "Yeah, that is good and all, but, now, I am going to advice you to finally go and call your child back. We're not going to war while that kid is running loose outside, the others won't be able to stand with the Wang Family… and those guys are the strongest amongst the Mortal Races."
Akil, looked at Olivia and was about to say something, but Quinn glared at him, saying, "Do it, Akil, if you don't I'm going to tell on you to the White Tiger Ancestor Lixus… if he learns a member of his Race left while under your watch. By then, there would be no saving your son and maybe half your race."
BOOM!
The ground caved and cracked and without a moment's notice, a golden portal appeared atop the Deity Paradise. Akil left without missing a beat.
Olivia and the other Acting Leaders watched him disappear and then, both Jel and Tel started floating, "Olivia you're taking over the duties of the White Tigers. Go and gather the World Treasures and secure the Eggs."
"What? Why do I have to do his job?"
"You were the one who thought of sparing his son. He left because of your idea."
"What? You were going to tell that to him anyway."
"But, we didn't so, go now. We still have to secure the Rations and so many other miscellaneous tasks and Quinn and the Phoenixes are dealing with the Weapons. Good luck, Olivia."
The pair of Black Turtle left without turning back.
"Shit… me and my kind-heartedness." Olivia cursed underneath her breath.
The Deities started preparing for the war, not knowing, that something else was already beginning across the Universe.
Purple light, tens of thousands of them across hundreds of worlds shot up to the sky. Other than the Seven Lowest Worlds, every world with an Abyssal Crystal activated and summoned giant Abyssal Portals.
Somewhere in the Cosmos, walking in the Cosmic Road, there was the bearer of Wang Ling's face, the Origin General, or otherwise known as the Emperor of Death, whispering to himself, "Finish the fight before it even begins. That is how a war is won."
He said to himself as he looked into the center of the Cosmos and into the Origin World.
"Gather them all." He said as the Abyssal Portals across the Cosmos began to pour Abyssal Demons into different worlds.

The Last Marshal
Weird West Fantasy Noir Once the Republic Marshals brought order to the chaotic lands along the Frontier, facing dangers both human and supernatural with ancient wisdom and a six-gun —but that was a long time ago. Destroyed by conspiracy and betrayal, all that remains of that secretive order is one nameless man on a trek though the West seeking revenge on the woman he blames for the Marshals' fall and his disgrace. When a visitor from our world joins him on his journey, they together must confront the horrors of a strange land, the mysteries of the past and the real meaning of their quest for justice. The world of Tellus is what 19th Century Earth would have looked like if the stories of Poe, Ambrose Bierce, Lovecraft and William Hope Hodgeson were real. History in this world moves slower. The old faiths persist and civilization never conquered the dark corners of the map, at least not without being inextricably changed. Technology and culture takes a little longer to evolve in this land, as people here tend to spend more time pursuing their elaborate revenge plots or trying to avoid being the next sacrifice to the Outer Gods rather than advancing science or statecraft. Imagine Cormac McCarthy by way of Edgar Rice Burroughs, though a little less testosterone-drenched than that description would imply. Three caveats: First, there are deep mysteries here, including how such a world came to be and who controls it. Second, this world is not wholly unconnected from our own. There is a historical point of divergence, but in the distant past. To paraphrase Twain: history in this world is not a repeat of our own, but it does often rhyme. And finally, this is not a setting that lends itself to happy endings.

Lost Things
"In this disordered continent, where everyone seeks to be the heroes of their own tales, there are still some rooms for smaller stories to breathe." "Past, present, and future—keep your eyes open, and see where they lead you to." This story follows three housemates’ lives: Carson Calding, Virgil Barion, and John Salore—onto their adventures of finding Carson’s past, Virgil’s present, and John’s future. Despite their clashing backgrounds and circumstances that forced them together, they’re definitely going to find the things they had lost, for sure. Each entire chapter will be updated biweekly. There'll be three smaller parts per each chapter. Note that this story was written to be an interactive one, with polls at the end of each parts deciding on what happens next. Though, the polls for this story won't be available on Royal Road updates. (I also upload this in Arcane Odyssey forum, and it's currently the only place where I open the polls and use the poll results from.)

A Generic Dungeon Core Story
When one falls… what happens? Do they just disappear into an endless abyss? Do they got to a final resting place to lay forever? Do they get to look down proudly upon the world from the clouds or look up in regret as they are burned and tortured? One man… person found out the hard way as he fell into a dark abyss after having surely died only to found himself awake again with most of his memories and knowledge blocked of as he was reincarnated into a 10ft cube as a small glowing sky blue orb…. This is my first actual foray to the world of webnovels as I’ve never wrote any stories before… *cough cough * edgy horny filled teenage fanfics do not count whatsoever *cough cough*. I am very new to the world of novels and I am not a native English speaker so expect a lot of grammar mistakes. The story will update on weekends on Saturday or whenever I feel like uploading as I do not have much free time and this is only a novel I write to improve my writing skills. What can you expect from the story? - Dungeons? Of course, this is the main theme of the story. - Multiple leads? Yes, there will be multiple perspectives from many different characters with at least 4 main characters. - Gamelit? The world is ruled by a system… that does absolutely nothing other than a way to view your stats and progression. - Murder hole? No, the lead character has a challenging yet fair view on how dungeons should operate, don’t get me wrong as he will still kill people if they are evil, careless or overestimate their abilities but don’t expect too much death as I feel that most adventurers would be smart enough to know their abilities especially when they have to do it themselves instead on relying on skills or the system. - Cultivation? No, the ability to gain power from sitting still and breathing never made any sense to me and it will be completely broken if the MC gets their hands on it so… no. - Non-human MC? Yes, they are a dungeon after all and yes, dungeons do get avatars but it is a specialized procedure that many choose not to do. Also, if the dungeon gets an avatar, no he will not be some wish giving demigod or whatever. - Magic? Yes, but it is very limited and down to the ground... from my notes... which means nothing - Art? Yes, I’m a hobbyist-artists so expect some art sketches here and there… I am poor so I do not have line art pens or tablets or adobe photoshop… also no scanners so… pictures of pencil-sketches it is, no coloring though since I am terrible at coloring. - Comedy? Yes, if you can call my bad attempts at humor comedy. - Likeable characters? Hopefully… especially since I accidentally made like... 60 characters … how I made 6 originals into 60?… I have no idea whatsoever… - Adventurers/invaders/delvers/etc…? Yes! My favorite part about dungeon core novels are when delvers delve into the dungeon and reading how they react, I will definitely flesh out the delvers and show how they operate more than usual hopefully. Hopefully you like the story, I will not have a patreon or paypal or whatever mostly because I’m under 18, thanks for at least reading this far and I hope that my writing is at least passable and you enjoy the story… if not then at least I got some writing practice in English.
