Chapter 4 – Hostage (1)
Xiao Daiyu carefully opened the car door and slid out of the car, not daring to make any big movements. She decided not to close the car door completely since it would make noise, as long as no one noticed it was open she would be fine.
“Give up! You’re surrounded! If you don’t turn yourself in within an hour we will start shooting!”
“Heh! Surrounded?? Must I remind you I have 20 hostages here? If you’re not scared of knowing 20 innocent lives were lost because of you then go ahead and do it!”
The policemen looked around fidgeting. Besides surrounding the bank, they hadn’t truly done anything else to stop the robbery and the case was time sensitive since they had no idea if the suspects had any hidden means for escaping.
Under normal circumstances. Xiao Daiyu would have definitely helped save the hostages. But she couldn’t play hero anymore, not while she was still in a weak 5 years old body. If she did she would simply drag everyone down.
She seriously couldn’t tolerate not being able to help…

“What’s a little girl doing here?” The boy frowned as he watched the dirty Xiao Daiyu sneak around like a little thief.
“Hmm… I don’t know,” the man let out an amused hum as he watched the little girl look left and right before running through the crowd and go into into the small forest behind the bank. After she left, the sound of guns being shot was heard.
The man in the driver’s seat finally went out, but the boy didn’t follow him and only watched.
When the police officers saw an extraordinarily handsome man step out of the car, some immediately approached him to report the situation. But they couldn’t help but complain in their hearts

But of course, no one dared to voice their opinion.
The man instantly gave out a string of orders, it was only after that that the policemen began to do something. As the man commanded, they threw a smoke grenade into the bank.
Once the smoke screen was up, a few officers wearing gas masks and infrared glasses went into the bank. The Blood Sucking Vendetta’s people were swiftly comprehended and those who opposed were shot. In less than an hour, everything was back under control.
The man with the mysterious background turned to look at an officer.
“How many men did you say there were?”
The officer looked a little dazed after the unexpected question.
“Um… Ahem. Sir, 4 were shot, and the other 6 were comprehended, we got all 10 under our custody.”
“Count them”
“Huh?”
“I said count them,” the man’s gaze turned a few shades darker.
Frightened, the officer stumbled forward to count the suspects. When he did, he turned pale. He noticed that one of the ambulances in the back had nurses tied up, policemen knocked out, and no shot suspect getting treated.
“Sir! One of the suspects who was shot is missing!”

Xiao Daiyu casually picked up a rock while strolling in the small forest. She was still trying to digest the whole story of the novel and thinking on who to avoid while at it.
If she was not wrong, according to the date in the calendar she saw in the police car, the villain’s mother had already died.
As long as the villain’s father was determined to get his revenge, the villain’s road towards revenge was sealed and the grudge between the villain and the male lead’s father would grow to be unsolvable unless one of the two died.

If she really wanted to avoid the plot, then she would have to get out of this town.
She realized she was in a small town in the border between their country and country W. The male lead’s father was probably here for a transaction while the villain’s father was here to catch them in the act.
Which meant that the male lead was probably in the town as well.
As for what the transaction was… They were collecting little children and selling them for money. As for what the buyer did with the children, it had nothing to do with them. She would have originally been sold along with this group of children if things went according to the original plot.
In the novel, she was probably the least unfortunate among the children. She wasn’t sold because the male lead thought that she was beautiful, so was forced to stay and work as his maid.
The sudden sound of breathing and crunching of leaves woke Xiao Daiyu from her trance. When she reacted, a rough hand had already pulled her up. The metallic scent of blood immediately flooded her head and made her want to throw up. It was too late for her to make any move to run away.
“Don’t move”

Woman Vs A.I Future
Like most love stories this one takes place in the not so distant future.

Five moons rise over Evanir, each in her own cycle, and each moon is also a god, one of five sisters. Many gods create spirit attendants and companions, brought forth fully-formed. Long ago, the moons worked together to create a lineage that are, instead, humans transformed by the mingling of blood. They intended them to be long-lived and to draw their strength directly from the light of the moon who chose each individual. The five sisters had different goals in mind – one wanted it to be a blessing for scholars and artists, to give them more time and fewer physical distractions; another wanted them to have an animal form, different for each, to keep them more in tune with nature so they could serve as guardians of the wilderness. There are drawbacks to their children having human lives and personalities before being chosen: not all share the goals of their divine mothers, and some choose to put their gifts to darker uses. Those carrying the blood of one woman, fleeing the corruption in search of a quiet life, take a different path. -=-=-=-=- Moonblood isn't so much a novel as a series of adventures of varying length. They involve a core group of people, which does grow over time. They take place in a fairly low-magic world, but despite that, our core cast are directly connected to the moons and have various abilities, including limited shapeshifting to a single individual animal form. As with all my work, unless gender, orientation, or other aspects of sexuality are explicitly stated, I suggest not making assumptions. Probably most significant, I think, is a major trans character who appears about 80K words in - no spoilers, just a note for those who care about that one way or the other.

I made this for a fanfic contest, but I really love it. Branch just wanted to visit his friend in Calypsio. But then he heard a rumor and had to explore. Will he and his crew make it out alive? Finished.

- HIATUS - One chilly spring morning, the world begins to shift. Suddenly, five individuals find themselves in possession of more potential than they can imagine, and are left trying to find their place in a rapidly changing world. The world is changing, but into what? This story follows Chris and four other humans as they reenter the world as harbringers of the system, dragging chaos in their wake. Edit: I wrote myself into a corner with this one, and its only after taking a writing class that I realize where I went wrong, and it needs a complete rewrite from the top. I considered taking it down, but i'm going to leave it up as a reminder to myself to plan out my magic systems a little better.
