Chapter 5 – Hostage (2)

Xiao Daiyu couldn’t believe it, first she was brought to a dangerous crime scene by a police officer and now she was about to be taken hostage?
Before she could even turn around, the man picked her up without care. On the bright side, she finally understood what ‘being carried like a kitten’ felt like.

The fact that the man was able to pick her up so easily made her even more depressed.
She couldn’t even bear to look at her defenseless self.
The man continued to drag her deeper into the woods. He was shot in his abdomen, so as she dangled her over his shoulder, his other hand pressed the wound to slow down the bleeding.
The man couldn’t run properly and ended up shaking Xiao Daiyu a lot, making her want to throw up, but the only thing she had eaten was the bread the officer gave her and she couldn’t afford to waste food.
Once the sky turned orange the man thought they had finally gone far enough. He sat down, putting Xiao Daiyu on the ground in front of him. Neither of them spoke, Xiao Daiyu stared at the man’s gun and the man worried about his wound.
“Don’t even think about running away, kid,” the man said, pointing his gun at her.
Xiao Daiyu didn’t even frown.
She remained emotionless at the man’s exclamations.
He started checking his wound and hissed when he took his hand away. Before knocking out the nurses he had kind of gotten treated, but after running for over an hour his wound had gotten worse. He internally cursed the police officers’ 18 generations.

Xiao Daiyu was speechless at the mess they had made, it would be very easy to track them. She continuously ignored the man but attentively observed his gun.
“Mister… What’s that?” She innocently pointed at his gun. Her eyes were pure and naive.
It was the man’s turn to be speechless.

“Sir, we found his tracks, he has lost a lot of blood and probably couldn’t go too far,” the superintendent 3rd class Luo reported respectfully.
Their bank heist had been successfully stopped by the man’s smoke bomb strategy. By throwing the bomb in, they were able to blind the suspects so that they didn’t hurt the hostages while they got control of the situation. If it was just them in charge, they would have most likely failed. But, with the man’s plan, there were no casualties other than the mentally traumatized hostages.
Cheng Feng suddenly remembered the dirty little radish that sneaked into the forest like a little thief. He narrowed his eyes and ordered the police men once again.
“Take half of your men and split them into three teams, I’ll take one team myself. We are going to look for the man that escaped in the forest”
Superintendent Luo was surprised, he was taking care of this himself?
Chen Feng turned around to enter the forest and paused before entering.
“If you encounter a dirty little girl, around 5 years old, take her to the nearest orphanage”
That surprised superintendent Luo even more, but he didn’t comment. He couldn’t afford to offend this big boss that came all the way from the capital. If he did, not even the mayor could save him.
Chen Feng personally led a team in the forest, following the traces that the suspect left behind. He could already imagine the suspect limping, holding his abdomen as he made his way deeper into the small forest.

Seeing them enter the small forest, the handsome boy in the car – Shan Yijun – raised an eyebrow.
“They’re taking too long, uncle must getting older”
The old butler on the other side of the video call sweated.

So, first things first, this here is a magical girl thing.
