Slowly Wu Lina changed his clothes. She was thankful that he wasn't noticing her. By the time she had finished she was blushing a deep red. She cleaned the bed around and headed outside to get some fresh air. She needed to cool down her racing adrenalin that was heating her body!

Moments later her stomach started rumbling. She wanted to eat food. Seeing that Yang Xinyu was sleeping nicely, she instructed the male nurse to stay there for a while until she came back.

She rushed to the hospital cafeteria where she met the head nurse Su sāng ní.

"Wu Lina! My child, how are you? How is that demon king behaving? I heard that he has changed a lot under your supervision and Dr. Zhou's treatment. Very well done Wu Lina. I am proud of you!" she exclaimed.

"Thank you āyí," she replied with a polite smile and started leaving to get some food from the counter.

"Wu Lina, come back and sit with us. I am sitting with other nurses over there," said Su sāng ní from behind.

Wu Lina had to hurry up back to Yang Xinyu, but she decided not to irk the head nurse. After all she was supposed to give them appraisals! So she collected her food tray from the counter and went to the table where all other nurses were sitting. The head nurse was sitting like a queen amongst them.

All of them were talking about the patients they were attending.

"The patient I am looking after is an old man in his sixties. He was abandoned by his wife and children and now he is emotionally broken," said one of the nurses Wang Qinqin. She turned to Wu Lina and enquired, "I heard that the person you are attending is the CEO of the Yang Corporation. You are so lucky. Try to seduce him," she added with a chuckle. "Who knows you may become his mistress if not his wife?" And she started laughing loudly. Other nurses joined her.

Wu Lina was so angered at this nonsense that she had an impulse to throw the food tray at her. But she maintained her calm as always and continued eating her food without replying to her.

The head nurse saw this awkward situation and scolded nurse Wang Qinqin. "This is her first time attending to a VIP patient in this facility. This is very sensitive assignment, so please be careful of what you speak Wang Qinqin. The director won't take it kindly if he hears what you just spoke."

Wang Qinqin shrank in fear when she heard the head nurse. She looked menacingly at Wu Lina.

The conversation then drifted to other things, which Wu Lina wasn't interested in. She finished her dinner and excused herself to go back to her apartment to fetch her night clothes.

When she went back to the room she saw that Yang Xinyu was still sleeping. Seeing her, the male nurse left the room.

After she was left alone, Wu Lina made her bed on the sofa and went to the bathroom freshen up. She came back wearing her night suit and socks. She covered herself with the blanket. She was so tired that she dozed off within ten minutes.

When she woke up next, she found herself next to the human warmth. She felt so good that she cuddled up and kipped again. She thought she was dreaming… She had missed this warmth for over four years. She missed her mom... she missed her warm touch... her warm embrace... she missed her family...

She woke up when the morning sun had filled the room. The leaves of the tree outside the window were playing hide and seek with the sun. She got up and yawned and stretched her limbs and bumped into someone next to her. She was taken aback and jumped with astonishment. She squinted her gaze on the person she had just bumped into. A beautiful face came into her line of vision. Her mouth opened and she started ogling at the handsome, sleepy man with chiseled features in front of her. His bone structure was perfectly symmetrical. It was manly. His features were so striking that he could easily grace the cover of all the leading fashion magazines. With half-open dreamy brown eyes and feather-like hair that were ruffled, he looked sexy! 'How can a man be so handsome…?' She wanted to hold his face in her hands!

Yang Xinyu was half-asleep when he felt movement next to him. He gazed at her with his sleepy brown eyes. Her dark hair was messy, face and eyes were slightly puffy, and the skin was glowing pink. Her night suit had come up exposing her shapely thighs. He itched to pull her back on the pillow. But refrained…

Their gaze met and she found herself in a trance, heat rising inside her.

Breaking the spell, she removed the quilt covering them hastily, exposing him to the soft chill of the room.
