The next day, at 7:00 in the evening after having dinner with her mother in the canteen, Jessy teleported into the city to check on Jagger. She landed in his room in the motel but as usual, he wasn't there. So, she went to the wet market in her invisible form.

She can't find him in the landing area where delivery van usually dropped their fish products. But she can sense his human scent strongly in the area, he must be somewhere nearby.

She began touring the whole area.

She went to the dry good section where vegetables, herbs, and spices were being displayed and sold.

He is not there.

She went to several stores displaying other drygoods products, still, he's not there.

But his scent was getting stronger...

She was already outside the wet market.

She proceeds to the area where a few restaurants were located, she can smell the aroma of cooked foods entering her nostrils. Appetizing dishes were being displayed on the transparent food display cabinet and people are eating everywhere around her.

She entered the restaurant where she located his scent.

And there he is!

She found him at last!

Jagger was washing dirty plates inside the kitchen of the restaurant. The said establishment was located on the north side a few meters from the wet market.

There's two of them washing dishes, the person beside him isn't familiar to her, she only saw him today.

Hmm, so, Jagger was having two jobs at the same time? He must be taking different jobs here and there.

Not bad.

He seems to be working hard and working well, it looks like he was adapting well to the city life with flying colors.

She continues watching him for the next few minutes.

For the entire time that she watched him, washing dishes was all he has done so far.

Then out of the blue, he stopped what he's doing, he exited the backdoor of the restaurant and walked closer to where she was standing, a few meters away.

Jagger comes face to face with Jessy.

Smirking, Jagger's mouth was moving in a state of talking. "Nice to see you here. I can feel your presence, my love. I'm deeply touched that you still find the time to visit me despite your busy schedule. Why don't you wait for me a bit...I will treat you to a dinner in a fancy restaurant in a short while," he murmured.

Jessy chortled.

"You can see me?" she finally said.

Jagger shook his head. "No. Your scent is stronger when you are near me. I can detect your presence but I still can't see you. But I can touch you now if I want to..."

His hands move fast reaching for the direction of her voice.

Jessy already hovered above him. "Not so fast, Jagger," she smiled, teasing him.

Jagger scowled and sighed. It looks like in this lifetime he can never get inside Jessy's heart. His heart beats only for her and his mind thinks of her every single day and yet he can never become more than a friend to her. If given the time and the right opportunity he wants to properly court her, shower her with his undying love and devotion, he wants to marry her badly. He wants her to be his wife to cherish and to love, sad to say, that would never happen in this lifetime. He feels happy and grateful that she still thinks and cares for him and visit him in the city watching over him from afar like his guardian angel. He realized that no matter where he goes she will always find him. "Wait for me, later please, Jess?" he said in a pleading voice, a deep longing was etched on his face.

"Bye Jagger," Jessy said in a low voice. Then she teleported herself back into the Facility.

Jagger's face turned sad. He can no longer smell her intoxicating scent.

She's gone...back to where she belongs, in the Facility.

He realized that the time he had spent with her in the forest and the treehouse, are the most memorable and special because during those times he can still see her pretty smile. Hear her voice and her laughter and enjoy her presence. Now, she no longer wants to show her face to him.

So sad.

He missed her terribly.

Back in the Facility.

Jessy was lying in the clinic bed thinking of Jagger. The sadness on his face kind of rubbed on her differently in a mysterious way.

Part of her always treats him as a friend.

Right now she wants to give him a little of her time to cheer him up. She will come back to the city later and treat him somewhere.

She will try to continue to be his friend so that she can exert power over him and keep monitoring his actions and movements in the city.

...

Two hours later.

Finished with the blood transfusion, Jessy exited the clinic and went to the queen's study room to inquire when they will start erasing the humans' memories of the abduction and return them to their homes.

When she entered the study room, the queen was alone sitting on the sofa reading a book in her lap.

Queen Margaret raised her head. "Oh, Jessy...is there anything I can do for you?"

"Hi, Mother, I'm here to discuss the humans. When are we going to start erasing their memories and sends them home?" she asked excitedly. If there is one thing she loves doing is sending the abducted humans back to their families to end their torment. She loves to see them reunited with their love ones after a long time of separation.

Queen Margaret stared at Jessy for a few minutes before saying something...

"Jessy, from now on you no longer need to worry about the humans. Starting next week, Adam, Roden and I will start erasing the humans' memory of the abduction, then Adam will send them home. We had decided that it's a better arrangement compared to before. This time you don't have to deploy much effort and get busy because of humans. You will have enough time for relaxing and taking good care of yourself and not be bothered by other things. Just focused on the blood transfusion and we will take care of the rest," the queen said.

Jessy was silent for a moment, her brows furrowed. "Huh? Adam will take over my responsibility? Is he going to stay here for good? Did he come by today, Mother?"

"Yes, he comes today. He was looking for you but he can't find you anywhere. Then we have a serious talk here. He offered to take over your role to lighten up your load and you will have more free time for yourself," Queen Margaret said.

Jessy sighed. It looks like they already planned everything, there's nothing she can do to change their mind. "I understand, Mother. I will go now," she said. She rose to her feet and exited the study room.

Outside.

She went to her room.

She's going to the city to see Jagger.
