《Born of Valar》Chapter 24

Tyr struggled to fight the wave of blackness that swept over his mind, only to suddenly hear a blaring whirl sound
"Alert! Alert! Unknown Impact upon the starboard side. All colonists and personnel in Sector G through Sector M are to evacuate to the Central Hull immediately."
The announcement was followed by another that was in a language Tyr did not know, but Tyr himself seemed to spring up and walk through a sliding door into a long, lit silvery-white hallway.
Where in Illuvatar's name am I? And why does this feel familiar?
Tyr soon looked down at himself and found that he was wearing some strange red garments... and that his right hand had returned!
Before he could fully process this, Tyr ended up colliding with a person in a black uniform with gold highlights, who was wearing strange helm that covered their face and wielded an object in their hand.
"Watch where your... Nevermind! Get going before they...crap!
Three entities that Tyr did not recognize came into view from the hallway the stranger had ran from. They limbs clanked and whirled as they moved towards Tyr and the man, with their singular black orbs, which Tyr assumed to be an eye, seeming to stare at him and through him with no remorse.
A red light suddenly appeared on one of the entities before it erupted into a white flare, with a hole in its torso. Tyr looked to see the stranger pointing the object at the the entities, releasing first a red light from the object then pulling some with their finger. The other two entities soon fell in a similar manner to the first, and once down the the stranger held a gauntlet to their helm.
"This is Tang in Sector K reporting in: The unknown energy has resulted in various activated and unprotected AI units to register organics as hostiles. Advise immediate use of high grade particle weapons for defense of vital ship sections. Currently found a T-25er in K-22, will escort to safety... Copy over and out. On your feet."

Tyr was pulled to his feet and followed the stranger in a slightly dumbfounded state into a nearby small space, which then hissed once sealed and began to move.
"Lousy probes should have picked up on this during route preps. So much for going uncle's cyberization celebration next year in Tokyo. Don't worry citizen, you'll be sa..."
Tyr then felt himself lose consciousness and fade to black. When he began to wake, he found himself lying down and heard people talking just beyond his head.
"You've served me well young one, now take your leave. Hymir, step forward."
Ah, so Utgard-Loki had Hymir brought to him to learn more about me in preparation for the events.
"Tell me first of how your son Tyr came to be." said Utgard-Loki.
"Tyr is not my kin." said a gruff voice.
"Yes, yes, we Jotun denounce all of those who join the Aesir but..."
"Great Utgard-Loki," responded a soft woman's voice. "My husband is not saying this as a denouncement, but as a truth. I was washing one morning and saw a babe rise from the waters where Jotunheim's rivers meet Yggdrasil. He was large as an infant, and we knew not that he was a half-breed till he had been with us more than ten years, during which we raised him as our own."
"Why would take him in so readily?"
"I had long desired a child, and when Tyr came to me...he bore my affinity for the Sea. I thought perhaps Father Ymir granted me a blessing from beyond death."
"I see." said Utgard-Loki after a long pause. "Still, I hope you can shed some insight into what to do about him."
"Who knows how his time with the Aesir has changed him. Still, as a boy he seemed to enjoy the nearby Wilds more so than the house."

"But what about weaknesses?"
"You would know those better than us." responded the gruff voice again.
"Find them room and keep them out of sight from Tyr."
"What now my liege?"
"I don't know; we were just supposed to hold Ivaldi till that stranger could get in contact with Surtr and his other client came, after which we would be given payment. Now, Odin has sent one of his get Ivaldi back, and I can't think of anyway to get rid of him without starting a war with Asgard. You'd think after Thor and Loki I'd know better than to welcome Aesir."
"He was slowly circling towards us, he would have uncovered us eventually."
"Still, we are to have a wrestling match with one who is said to rival Thor. Who could have faced him and once beside Old Age itself?"
"Be at peace my kin, I think I have a way out, and poor Tyr will leave no better off than Thor did." spoke Utgard-Loki, sounding a little smug, which caused the others to chuckle.
"That stupid Aesir has know idea what he's in for."
That's what you think.

A Fool's Journey, or the Vagrancies of a Man in Exotic Lands
What does a sad bastard do when fate, literally, decides to throw him into a fantasy world? Solon just wanted to lead a normal life; work, share some pizza with friends, work, play some videogames or read something, work, maybe sleep?, work... Pretty much the usual, rinse and repeat. It was far from perfect, but life was nicely boring and comfy enough. Truth be told, he had hoped it would go on forever, or until he got married, or until the apocalypse finally decided to bring an end to everything. As far as he could tell, though, the former was about as likely as the latter; not very. And perhaps even somewhat related, if it ever came to it. Unfortunately, he saw himself involved in some sort of cosmic fart that screwed him over, brutally severing his life-plan. Or, maybe, would it be more suitable to say that Fate had other plans? Sure, he's yet to find out exactly what those plans might be, but, at the very least, they do seem to involve him being shoved into another world, fighting off a couple of horrendous creepers, and -almost- an accidental liaison with a baboon. Needless to say, the job doesn't come with dental care, and death seems more likely than retirement... Yep, when he got yoinked out of Earth, there were no princesses waiting for him, no sexy goddesses, and no severe Gandalf-wannabes! Heck, not even a bunch of demonic cultists! All he got for the trouble was a bunch of snarky windows and the honest desire to punch whatever bastard happens to be behind the smug System. Well, that, and a few forced trips to the so-called Tower of Ascension. Not exactly what he would have expected but, on the plus side, he does get to do some magic. Though, not quite the wand-waving kind. Whatever. One thing’s patently clear, though, he’s certainly not the chosen one, nor the summoned hero, nor the Savior. If anything, he himself might be in need of some saving... Just what kind of fool does the System take him for? Please do consider the tags. Also, 'Strong Lead' here means weak to strong, over a decent amount of time, not op from the very beginning. Things to expect: decent grammar, cheeky goats. Things not to expect: Harems, a decent sense of fashion.
