2 years passed, Ilario was 10 years old.

Ilario got hard training in the past 2 years. He passed all kinds of tests. He can handle all abilities of magic powers without a worry about magic exploded.

Mr. Marius told him to practice himself after he passed all of his tests. He said he had nothing more to teach him. He told him to develop more abilities by mixing many types of magic powers. The morning class changed to be self-practice instead.

Queen Agnes guided him the abilities of light magic power. Even so, there was a limit on the knowledge that she could tell him because it was a special power given by Athena Goddess. For that reason, he needed to practice himself.

The light magic power was powerful power and high effectiveness. Magus who possessed this type of power can use its abilities to fight against the dark magic power.

There were several ways to make light magic power to be more powerful by mixing with the other types of magic powers.

In case of destroying dark magic power, there were “Solis” the mixed power of light and fire magic powers, the ability to melt by burning like the heat energy on the sun, and “Ardeat” the mixed and double power of light, fire, and lightning magic powers, the ability to destroy in wavelength like bomb exploded but the length of damage can be controlled by the one who use it.

Ilario developed more abilities of light magic power. There were 3 abilities; ‘Lumen’ the mixed power of light and healing magic powers, the ability to purify dark magic power at rate of 95% as well as to heal and boost magic power for all races that did not possess dark magic power; ‘Darkness Detection’ the ability to detect all the darkness within 9 miles; ‘Light Absorption’ the ability to increase magic core inside body.

He found out that there were some of main abilities automatically activating, “Visibilis” the ability to see through all the darkness, dark magic core, and dark energy as well as to make the best eyesight in the dark, according to his magic power now, he can see the dark magic power and dark energy but he still cannot see though the dark magic core, and his eyesight in the dark was very good, “Cursus” the ability to boost stamina and magic power but it was not automatically activated every time. For that reason, he developed “Light Absorption” the ability to absorb light energy to increase magic core inside body like the solar cell.

Ilario grew up very fast after he passed the age of 8, his stamina and physical body getting strength up and rapidly. He was taller than the average boy at the same age by referring to the world he came from. It was because he got a special power from Athena Goddess and the hard training in the past years.

Apart from body strength, he also got the agility. Basically, the body strength is something contrast to body agility. The one who have high body strength, their body agility were less than the one who got agility training mainly. It was because of high muscles had the effect on body agility.

Thanks to the hard training from Oliver. He had worn the stone bracelets 50 pounds each on his wrists and ankles to train everything, despite the fact that he was a child at 7 years old.

Even so, he has never won the fight with Oliver in the past 2 years. Oliver has a very high strength and his speed was not bad.

Yesterday, He drew with him in the fight. It was the best result he could do. His fighting skill has improved rapidly since he was fighting the real fight with him. His instinct and sense were sharper and more sensitive than before. He can sense the attack and killing intent, and everything around him without using magic power.

He has a final fight with him today. He got allowed from Queen Agnes to go to hunt outside the village with the other young elves. He heard from Oliver that he requested the permission from Queen Agnes himself because he wanted to take him to face with the real life and get the experiences.

In the afternoon, he went to the training ground as the schedule.

Ilario and Oliver were ready to fight.

We attacked each other, blocked, dodged by switching back and forth for a while. Our attacks were so close, it was just the matter of speed and tactic to make a result. The winner would be the one who could attack the final blow first.

Both of us were injured from hitting and slashing each other but we still could not finish the final attack.

We both could read each other movements, we defended ourselves well.

Ilario was shorter but faster than Oliver. He used his speed against his strength. He dodged and attacked back every time he got attacks from him.

Oliver was stronger. He hit and slashed him hard but he missed, and sometime was close because his speed was lower than him.

For that reason, it made this fight take longer time.

Ilario wanted to win him once. He closed his eyes to concentrate and focus on his sense, he was on guarding and waiting for the attack. While he was concentrating, there were visions popped up in his mind. He saw the temperature and magic power inside Oliver’s body, and the energy around him.

Oliver moved toward him and attacked.

Ilario saw Oliver’s energy came toward his direction without eyes open, it seemed like he could predict the movements from him. He dodged his attack in time with one step faster and point dagger knife on Oliver’s neck.

“Whoa...How could you do that? I saw you closed your eyes,” Oliver asked, he has a surprised expression on his face.

“I don’t know. I just try something. I guessed it might be an ability of my magic power. I’m sorry for breaking the rule,” said Ilario honestly, he could not answer him clearly because it suddenly happened.

“It’s all right. It was our last match, though. You have to use magic power for the real fight, right?” Oliver said and smiled at him nicely.

“Can you attack me one more time? I’d like to make sure something.” Ilario asked.

“Of course,” said Oliver happily.

Ilario concentrated and focused on his sense like last time. He saw the vision in his mind more clearly.

Oliver attacked Ilario with new movements, he thought that he could trap him this time.

Ilario saw Oliver’s energy came toward him. He guessed that the energy might be the attack intent because it came toward him before the body temperature. He dodged the energy before it reached to him. He attacked back, his dagger knife point at Oliver’s body.

“Did you predict my movements?” Oliver asked curiously. He thought that it was not a fluke that Ilario could win him easily.

“I think so. It seemed I could see the direction of your attack energy. It reached to me before your body. That’s why I could dodge and attack you back before your next movement,” said Ilario honestly.

“Wow! You are amazing. So, I don’t need to worry about your first hunting tomorrow,” Oliver said and smiled at him.

“Thanks to you. I could develop my new ability. I’m looking forward to the hunting tomorrow,” said Ilario sincerely. He expressed his gratitude to him.

Ilario was thankful that he got a very useful ability from the last fight. If he had no strong desire for winning Oliver, he would not know that he can use this kind of ability. He thought that it might be the ability of light magic power because he could see the body temperature, magic power, and the energy all over. He needed to practice more to excel this ability. He wanted to use it without closing his eyes.

The next day, Ilario met Lyra and Oliver at the training ground. They prepared leather body armor, sleeveless jacket with hood, leather boots, bow and arrows, and dagger knives for Ilario. They made these set of armors and weapons to fit his body.

“Normally, we were hunting wild animals to use their skins for making leather armors, weapons, clothes, and furniture. We were selling their meats and other parts to humans, there is a market in the village nearby. They always request wild animals such as wild boars, deer, bison, and bear. We made a good money by selling it,” Oliver said, “and we were killing monsters for helping villagers that resided near Magnus Forest. We did not use their bodies because we have to burn and destroy dark magic power.”

“I understand. So, how can I hunt?” Ilario asked curiously, he has never killed any lives in his previous life.

“As I told you, the key of hunting is to hit targets in the vitals area, especially the heart at one blow. I will show you when we reached to the hunting ground,” Oliver said, “after hunted, we need to go to the market. I will take you there and look around the village in Artis Territory tomorrow.”

There were 2 young men elves came toward us. They talked with Lyra. Ilario has never seen them before.

“They will go with us and help to collect the bodies,” Lyra said.

We walked through the woods and reached to the hunting ground.

We were working as two separate teams. Lyra, Oliver, and Ilario were on hunting team. The 2 young men elves were on collect team, they have duties to collect the bodies of wild animals and monsters by using magic bag.

We found many wild boars. Oliver showed him how to shoot in the vitals area. Lyra, Oliver, and Ilario shot their heads and hearts. We killed the wild very quickly.

We went deeper inside the woods and found a big wild deer. Lyra shot its heart. It died instantly.

We continued to find more wild animals. The forest was completely silent when we went to the dense area. We walked through the woods and found nothing for a while.

Ilario used “Darkness Detection” to detect the area within 3 miles radius.

He has detected the dark energies that was coming toward us. There were 10 of them as far as he could detect.

Lyra also sensed something was strange and warned everyone.

“Be careful,” Lyra said, “I sensed something was coming. And I think it’s not just wild animals.”

“I’ve detected dark energies. There are 10 of them coming in this way. They were moving very fast,” Ilario said.

Everyone looked at him with serious expression on their faces.

“Climb up the trees. We will check the situation first. Get ready to fight and shoot after I gave a signal,” Lyra said.

Ilario continued to detect their movements. They came closer with high speed. He found out that their dark energies were dense powers when they came closer.

“I don’t know what they are but their energies were very dense. They are coming closer within a mile radius,” Ilario said, then activated “Wind Barrier” and “Cursus” to prepare himself for fighting.

“I have an idea. I will strike them all with light magic power at once. At least, we can reduce their strengths. So, you can kill them easier. And I can take some rest while you do so. I think I need to use a lot of my magic core to burn them all,” said Ilario calmly.

Everyone was surprised by his words. They have never thought that such a plan would come from a child who encounter the monsters at the first time.

“All right. We will do as your idea,” Lyra said, “Oliver will protect you.”

Ilario concentrated and focused on his sense. He used ‘Mind Vision’ to predict their movements. He waited for them to come within 200 meters radius, then activated “Solis Meteor” the ability to melt by burning many targets at once, the mixed power of Solis and Fire Raining, to attack all 10 of dark energies. The half of them were gone after his attack.

He opened his eyes, he wanted to know what kind of monsters they are.

He saw 5 Lycans remaining on the ground, the monsters in human-wolves form. They were hurt by the attack but still running toward us.

Lyra and the other 2 young men elves shot them with fire magic arrows continually.

All the Lycans were still running toward us after got many shots. They went wild and look so aggressive.

Ilario was exhausted his magic power. ‘Solis Meteor’ consumed so much magic power from him. He used “Light Absorption” to absorb light energy and recover his magic power as fast as he could.

“I’m better now. Don’t worry about me,” Ilario told Oliver.

“Okay. I’ll go to help them,” Oliver said.

Ilario observed the situation. It was first time he saw Lyra using sword to fight against a Lycan that look very strong. It attacked Lyra aggressively. He thought that it must be their leader.

The other 2 young elves were supporting Lyra by shooting fire magic arrows to the other Lycans.

Oliver helped the others elves to killed the other Lycans one by one, he cut off their heads and stabbed in their chests though their hearts.

Meanwhile, Lyra was fighting with a strongest Lycan.

It attacked Lyra by clawing and biting her. Its claws were longer and stronger than the normal Lycan. It was using its claws to block the attacks from Lyra without breaking. Its speed was fast. It dodged and attacked Lyra back quickly.

Lyra activated fire magic power on her sword and cut off its arm when it tried to attack her, but its arm has slowly regrown itself. She was surprised after saw it with her own eyes. She continued to attack a Lycan hurriedly.

It dodged and run around to wait its arm to fully regrow.

Lyra followed it and shot the fire arrows at it but the results were the same, it pulled out the arrows and then its wounds healed itself.

It turned to attack Lyra again after its arm fully regrew.

Ilario recovered himself after absorb light energy and rested for a while. He activated “Lumen” on Lyra to boost her magic power and Lycan to purify the dark magic power at once.

It was weaker after it got purified. Lyra cut off its head and stabbed its hearts.

Its body still move after it got stabbed at heart.

Ilario went near them and activated “Solis” to burn it until it could not move and regrow itself.

Everyone was exhausted after we got a long fight. We took some rest.

“Are the Lycans strong type of monsters?” Ilario asked after everyone felt better.

“No, that isn’t the case. Lycan is monster at medium level but these Lycans were stronger than usual, especially the one I fought to. That one can compare to the high level of monsters. Their bodies could resist fire magic power. We need to check their bodies first,” Lyra said and went to check their bodies.

Ilario followed Lyra and observed their bodies. The collect team were checking on leader body which were burned more than half. They cut its chest to take out dark magic stone. Its size was nearly as same as the size of its heart. The dark magic stone cracked from Lyra’s attack but there was some of dark energy remained inside.

“Please use light magic power to purify dark energy,” one of collect team said.

Ilario activated “Lumen” to purify the dark magic stone until it changed to be clear stone.

They destroyed it after the stone completely changed.

“The dark magic stone is a source of dark energy. It turned this Lycan to be stronger and even resist fire magic power. The size of this stone is bigger than usual. We normally found this size in the high level of monsters. And the dark energy inside this stone was strange, its power still remained after it got burned. It seemed to gather power itself slowly. That’s why its body did not burned into ashes,” one of collect team said.

“Let’s keep their bodies and report to The Queen,” another one of collect team said.

Ilario realized that he seemed to be lacking skills and abilities to kill the high level of monsters. He needed to practice himself and develop more abilities of light magic power.

We went back to the elves’ village.

“I don’t think we can go to the market tomorrow. I’ll tell you later,” Oliver said.

“Yeah, I got it” Ilario said.

The 4 of them went to the Queen’s Treehouse directly. They needed to report everything to Queen Agnes.

Ilario went back to the treehouse to get some rest. He was tired from fight and walk today.

He recalled the words from Athena Goddess. She told him that his magic power will be increasing as time went by. He thought that he could not wait for the time after he encountered the Lycans today. He wanted to find the other ways to increase his magic power. He planned to consult this matter with Queen Agnes tomorrow.
