They were both sat in the canteen, sat as far from each other as possible. Out of nowhere, one of the other inmates stood up on a desk.
"HEY EVERYONE! I HAVE AN ANNOUNCEMENT!" He called out. Guards began to circle him, telling him to get down.
Neither Austin or Henry were paying much attention, neither wanted to acknowledge it.
"AUSTIN SANDERS IS A !" He yelled, pointing towards him.
Both Henry and Austin's head shot up in shock.
"YOU HEARD THAT RIGHT! "AUSTINS" A GIRL! AND I BET SHES SLEEPING WITH HENRY TOO!" He continued, now pointing towards Henry. The two looked at each other with confusion and concern.
As the inmate was as dragged off, people began to murmur and stare at the two, mainly Austin.
He was looking round cautiously, while Henry just stared down in confusion.
Suddenly, two guys stood up, approaching Austin..
Austin's Pov
I saw two guys approaching me slowly. I stood up, backing away.
"What do you want, assholes?" I groaned.
One of them said as the other ran towards me, grabbing my arm. I tried to rip it away, but to no avail. He shoved me onto the table, pinning my arms down.
The other said.
The first, or.. Terrance, moved off of me, continuing to pin my arms down.
"What the fuck are you doing?!" I yelled.
He responded bluntly, grabbing the waistline of my pants.
Holy shit. No. Is this really happening? No. No no no no. This isn't real right?
I managed to kick him away from me, making him let go.
He yelled. I began to hyperventilate as he climbed onto the table, pushing my legs down with his knees.
Tears of panic swelled in my eyes when he began to grab at my pants again.

He was cut off my someone shoving him to the floor.
Henry?..
Henry growled at the now mildly bruised man on the floor.
He snidely commented.
He immediately dropped to the floor, violently punching and slapping him. As Terrance was distracted, I harshly pulled my arms away, getting up from off the table.
He tried to grab me, but I dodged it and grabbed his arm instead, pulling him forwards which ended with him landing face first on the floor, ultimately knocking him out.
The other guy managed to shove Henry off of him. Henry yanked the other guys hair, slamming his face into the ground.
Henry stood up quickly, grabbing my hand and bolting out of the cafeteria. We saw guards walking towards the cafeteria, stopping once they saw up.
"A BIT FUCKING LATE!" I yelled at them, flipping them off as we whizzed by quickly.
"Where are we going!?"

The Destiny of a Mortal God (Hiatus)
Currently on hiatus, in part because I'm unsatisfied with how the story was starting to develop, and even though I had ideas how to run it, I still made mistakes far too big to correct them. Secondly I'm currently stressed about university, and sincerely, I don't see myself keeping this project. I may or may not retake this project or even start a new one, but one thing's for sure, it isn't happening anytime soon (Meaning until june, aprox, or until I can keep up with class). ... Lyon Ironblood, 19 years old and orphan, is taken by Kronos from the present Earth to another world, where he shall fight and struggle to get stronger so that he shall acomplish the mission Kronos assigned him. He shall fight gods, demons, dragons and monsters and even mortals who surpass those. But to do so he shall receive, though only after he proved himself worthy, a power beyond imagination. This power will not be handed freely to him, and he'll have to work hard to develop it. He shall receive the X-Men System. A magic system designed to enhance Lyon and give him the mutations from the X-Men serie. He shall start from scratch, with powers that will seem less than a mere human, and develop them with effort, to surpass the gods. [I don't claim ownership of any of the X-Men powers or characters, neither the cover, only thing I claim are the ideas which make the story and put together their powers, how they'll develop from scratch to even higher worlds than they were suposed on the series, other than that, all X-Men characters named (which I'll try to avoid to a certain point) are not of my property]

This is a gothic fantasy story, set in a world in which gods and the afterlife are not only real and known, but were both established in living memory of some of the inhabitants after millennia of arcane warfare with the being who constructed the mundane reality the humans occupy. But this isn't the story of those who colonized the afterlife at the cost of their own humanity, but a somewhat more ordinary man, in somewhat extraordinary circumstances. This is also a LitRPG-lite, which means there's a system of sorts, fragments of which can be observed through Jonathon's eyes. Don't expect level-up screens, or statistics, or indeed numbers much at all, beyond those the inhabitants of the world itself apply to understanding their own reality. It pretty much doesn't matter to the story, I mention it so those who don't want to read LitRPG at all can successfully avoid it here. I don't have any particular plan here, just some ideas inherent in the genre. This is a character concept I toyed with some years ago; an old man, bright of mind but weighed down into apathy, both by his past and his responsibilities for a terrible estate that cannot be left without stewardship. Don't expect any kind of overarching plot or story, because that's really not what this is about. Also don't expect much dialogue. Or character development. Or much of anything, really, because I've planned nothing in the way of an actual book, here. Other relevant information, if you've read this far for some reason: The MC isn't super-powerful to begin with, and probably never will be. He's a veteran with some useful skills, and the insight on how to use them, so can deal with the world's ordinary threats reasonably well, but not too much beyond that. --- Currently on hiatus, as currently the story has a rather poor ratio of effort-to-personal-payoff. I may return to this once I have a clear idea of how to get the stories where I want them. I've started a more standard LitRPG using the same system. But if you like intelligence characters who cleverly min-max their classes, it probably isn't the story for you; it's the story of a rather ordinary guy who winds up in a very similar universe.
