Third Person's POV
As Abigail talked, Aiden seemed to zone out. Thaddeus saw this and thought maybe it was a lot for him to take in.
He tried to comfort Aiden, by gently rubbing his back, rubbing soothing circles but it seemed to do nothing.
Aiden sat there, quiet, staring off at nothing while he listened to Abigail speak.
But as Aiden sat there, he listened to what his sister said. It was hard for Aiden to hear what happened to his people, to his family and his parents.
His heart broke hearing what happened.
As she spoke he could almost picture the scene unfolding as if he was there. He was almost glad he didn't have any memory of his family, because he knew if he did it would hurt that much more.
After Abigail stopped talking, Aiden finally seemed to snap out of it. He slowly turned his head to look at his sister, and spoke in a quiet voice
" W-why don't I r-remember any of this?... W-why don't I remember you?"
"I don't know." Abigail said, in a soft voice. Looking at her brother with a sad expression on her face.
"That's another reason why I need you to tell me about your old pack, and what they did to you." Thaddeus said, bringing Aiden's attention back to him, as he turned to look at him.
"I know it's probably hard for you to talk about it, but we're all here for you. I'm never going to let anyone hurt you again!...
But this is important, maybe this can shine some light on why you don't remember your family or your sister. That's why I need you to be strong, and tell us anything you can. Can you do that for me?" Thaddeus asked. Aiden looked nervously at Thaddeus but slowly nodded his head.
Aiden sat there in Thaddeus's lap, nervous more than ever. He was afraid to tell them what happened to him. He was ashamed and scared to tell them how he was treated. He was afraid they would see what he really is... A loser, pathetic.

'What if they look at me differently? What if he doesn't like me anymore after he learns what Jackson did to me? Who would want a mate like that? Someone so weak, and pathetic that can't even defend themselves, Instead lets someone like Jackson do what he did… What if they think I'm a loser, and pathetic just like my old pack did?' Aiden thought to himself.
Sensing Aiden's hesitation, Thaddeus gently cupped Aiden's cheek, lifting his face, and making Aiden look at him.
Aiden immediately felt the tingles dancing across his cheek from Thaddeus's touch. He couldn't imagine never feeling those wonderful tingles again. The thought of never feeling his touch again, never feeling his warmth, or seeing him again terrified Aiden. It felt like someone was ripping his heart out.
Thaddeus looked into Aiden's eyes as he softly spoke.
"Hey, it's okay... No one here is going to judge you. Nothing you say will ever change the way I feel about you. But we need to know."
Aiden closed his eyes, leaning into Thaddeus's hand as he enjoyed the warmth, then slowly nodded his head
Aiden glanced around the room, looking at everyone, before looking back into his lap as he began to talk...
"T-the Alpha, A-Alpha Maxwell found me alone when I was 6 years old. H-he kept me in the basement. I wasn't allowed to come out for the first 2 years. I-I had nothing down there, not even a b-bed. It was so cold, and damp down there.
I found a bunch of old rags and used that to sleep on. It was dark, there wasn't even a window down there. Just a dim light hanging from the ceiling in the corner, which later became an area I hated.
He would only feed me twice a week, a small plate of scraps and a small glass of water. But he never hit me... That was until I turned eight." Aiden said, saying the last part quietly while playing with his fingers.
Aiden couldn't look up, I was afraid to see the expression on their faces so he kept his eyes focused on his hands.

After a shaky breath he continued.
"When I was 8 that's when he made me a slave. I had to learn to cook for everyone in the packhouse, and clean the whole house by myself.
Whenever I made a mistake, the Alpha would hit me. At first it wasn't so bad, but as time went on, the beatings got worse. He started tying me up downstairs. He would hang me from the ceiling by chains to beat me, then leave me hanging for hours. Sometimes the beatings were so bad I would pass out and wake up still hanging hours or even days p later.
He would always tell me that I was pathetic, worthless and no better than the dirt on the floor." Aiden said, then heard a growl come from Thaddeus and he tensed up.
Aiden glanced around the room and saw Abigail had tears streaming down her face. Xander's jaw was clenched, as he gripped the armrest so tight it looked like he was going to break it.
Aiden started breathing fast and squeezed his eyes shut. Thaddeus instantly relaxed and wrapped his arms around Aiden.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you. It's just hard for me to hear you went through this. We're not mad at you." Thaddeus said .
Aiden took a few deep breaths, which seemed to help calm him down. After a few moments, Thaddeus spoke again.
"Did anyone else ever hurt you? Anyone else in the pack?... Was the pack aware of what was going on, how the Alpha was treating you."
"M-most of the pack was aware, but none of them really hurt me. They mostly just picked on me, calling me names or making fun of me. They would push, or trip me, but no one ever hurt me that bad." Aiden said.
"So only the Alpha hurt you?" Thaddeus asked, and Aiden tensed up again. He didn't want to tell them about Jackson, especially Thaddeus... But he knew he had to.
"A-Alpha's youngest son." Aiden said as his lower lip trembled.
"He-he would do things to me." Aiden said, his voice breaking as he spoke .
"Wh-whenever he would catch me alone, he-he would force me to-to pleasure hi-him with m-my mouth. If I refused he would beat me. Then I would be forced to suck his dick anyways... He was so rough, he would choke me the whole time. It was so hard to breathe, I thought he was going to kill me at times." Aiden said, sobbing as the tears fell down his face.
He heard three very loud and angry growls. The growls were so loud it vibrated the whole room. Aiden squeezed his eyes closed tight, afraid of what was going to happen.
Now they know... They know his dirty past and they hate him.
'They think I'm disgusting now and I am!' Aiden thought to himself.
The tears came down even faster. Aiden heard wood splinter and break, followed by the sound of something hitting the wall.
Thaddeus was trembling underneath Aiden, and his chest wouldn't stop vibrating from the low continuous growl rising from his chest.
'They are so angry, they're definitely going to hurt me now!' Aiden thought as the sobs rocked through his body, and he dropped his face into his hands.
Thaddeus suddenly relaxed and his left hand went to Aiden's waist, pulling Aiden to face him. Thaddeus's left arm then wrapped around Aiden's waist, as his right hand went to the back of Aiden's head, pulling his face into Thaddeus's neck and his face went into Aiden's neck.
Thaddeus began taking deep breaths, taking Aiden's scent in to calm himself.
After a few minutes Aiden felt something wet on my neck, but not from himself...
'Is he crying?' Aiden wondered.
Aiden brought his left hand up to the right side of Thaddeus's face, which was buried in his neck, then wiped his thumb across Thaddeus's cheek and felt wetness.

War of Seasons
Dorothea Atlin is the young, apathetic leader of the neutral territory of Sirpo, a chilly land hovering above the continuously warring factions of Sacer and Ghuria, whose devastating magics have ravaged their people and lands time and time again. Following a shocking attack and a cruel deception, Dorothea grows her conscience and takes up arms, using her self-destructive ability to manipulate the flow of time to ensure Sacer’s victory. Her growing understanding of war and the two factions is guided by Iree Nobelis, the determined and enthralling commander of Sacer’s forces, Ariana Kingfisher, a steely swordswoman of mixed Ghurian and Sacerian descent, and Rhys Tamlin, a kind but haunted soldier who goes to challenge Dorothea’s self-imposed celibacy and join her on a mutual journey of healing from the tragic legacies of the Atlin family and wars between the nations. Meanwhile, Dorothea’s only friend and deserter from the Sacerian military, Shark Olyen, returns to their homeland to face the family that disowned them and finds more than they bargained for in meeting Cerid Creed, a noble whose duty to his people clashes with his desires in romance and in life, much like Shark’s did long before. As their developing or preexisting loves and differing convictions on how to achieve peace create rifts between these major players, Dorothea experiences a personal revolution that leads her to fight for what she believes is right, no matter the cost.
