Moi.
Aki deadpanned at the scene in front of him. He asks himself how he got here in the first place. The mission suddenly turned in to some strange day off because of some "incident", though, he doubted that.
Now a (h/c) haired girl who he just met had bought them ⎯ Denji and Power ⎯ snacks from the corner store.
Not some, it was four bags.
Each.
He also wonders how she was perfectly fine with paying for all of them.
Back to what was happening.
"No, this is my food! You have your own bags, eat those!" Denki held a hand away from Power, whilst also pushing her away with the other.
"Give it to me you fiend! I want it!" Power demanded.
Aki continued to smoke, tapping the cigar on the side of the ashtray-
The blacked haired male narrowed his eyes at the ashtray; he looked around at the other picnic tables.
"It's mine, don't worry about it." (Y/n) said, taking a sip of (beverage).
"Why do you have an ashtray? You've already said you don't smoke." Aki recalled back to when they were still in the store.
Earlier, (Y/n) had asked if he wanted anything in the store. He said shook his head, saying something along the lines of 'I don't want anything', but she had later came out with a new pack of cigarettes for him.
More specifically, his favourite brand.
They met her in an odd circumstance, but as a Devil Hunter, you'd expect weird things.
Flashback
"Aki, are we there yet?" Denji complained.
Said male was so close to driving the entire car off a bridge.
"Hey! I'm hungry, feed me!" Power kicked the back of the driver's chair.
Aki's eye twitched, then the sudden sound of his ringtone. Noticing this, pulled up in a empty parking space for some random store.
He only parked because he doesn't trust them with his phone.
"Hello?"
"Reports from the other party says that the [___] devil was already killed once they got to the warehouse." ### says.

"Alright, should we still check it out?"
"No, they've got this, you don't have to get there."
"Got it." With that, the caller hung up, making Aki close his phone.
Sighing, Aki turned his head to the two in the back.
"Fine, we'll get food; our mission has been cancelled. What do you guys want."
"Nothing with those foul vegetables."
Denji shrugged his shoulders.
"How hungry are you guys? Like will a quick meal do?"
"Sure."
"Mmmm, okay."
The black haired male tried starting the car.
Nothing.
He tried again.
That didn't work.
Third time's the charm?
Nah.
He wanted to slam his head against the steering wheel, but stopped himself.

"Why do we have to walk?" Power complained.
"Because the car won't start, and someone picked it up already."
"And why didn't we accept their offer to drive with them?" Denji asked
"There's a corner store right there."
"How are we gonna get back."
"Taxi-" Aki was interrupted by a loud thud.
They simultaneously turned around to see a slightly bruised female laying down on the concrete.
"Holy sh▓t!"
"Blood."
They stepped towards the girl, now surrounding her body. Power crouched down to "inspect" her.
*ᴘᴏᴋᴇ*
"Is she dead?"
"Don't poke the body!" Denji exclaimed.
(Y/n)'s hand twitched, a groan of pain erupting from her vocal cords.
Aki and Denji stepped back in bewilderment.
"That answers my question."
"Why did that have to happened..." (Y/n) muttered, pushing herself up, whatever damage to her body getting repaired.
"Are you okay?" Denji asked being "polite".
😒
"Yea, I'm fine, just a small scratch."
"What devil are you? I mean, I'm assuming you got launched or fell from the sky, and you claim that it's 'just a small scratch'." Aki interrogated.
"Not really a devil, but sure."
(Y/n): '𝘒𝘪𝘯𝘥 𝘰𝘧 𝘢 𝘨𝘰𝘥 '
"What do you mean not 'really a devil', that's bull-"
"Okay then! Uhmm, how 'bout I treat you guys to something. In exchange for not talking about what I am." (Y/n) intervened.

Power and Denji lit up at her offer, staring at Aki to pressure him in to accepting.
"What the- I- fine, don't think you're off the hook though..."
"Perfect. I'm (Y/n), and you three are?"
"Can we really trust you-?"
"Denji, nice to meet you." The orange haired male greeted, causing Aki to mentally face palm.
"What?! It's a nice lady, offering us free food!"
"Exactly!" Power added.
"I can't with you two..." Aki sighed and crossed his arms.
"I'm Aki... and this is Power." He introduced.
"Great. Wonderful, so where to?" (Y/n) asked.
"We were just heading to the store over there." Denji pointed at the corner store.
"Let's go, shall we?"
"Free food!" Power exclaimed.

"Want anything, Aki?" (Y/n) asked, holding the door open for the other two, who went at it to practically raid the place.
"It's fine..."
"Gonna get inside or are you goin' to stay out here?"
The black haired male decided to wait for them outside, planning to just smoke.
"I'll be out here." He replied, walking to the side.
"Well, okay, cya." With that, (Y/n) moved from the door, entering the store and causing the door to shut.
Aki took out the box of cigarettess, silently cursing to the fact that there's only two left⎯ well, one now.
With a lit cigarettes in his mouth, he picked out a picnic table to sit on and wait.

It's been 5 minutes since the other three entered the store, and the sun was about to set in a few hours, giving the sky a light yellow-orange hue.
Those very same three people exited, two of them were holding two bags in either hands.
"Wow! Are you really sure you don't want anything back? A favour maybe? This is a lot of stuff!" Denji asked, concerned she was okay with paying for everything.
"Nah, it's all good, it was quite cheap in fact." (Y/n) brushed it off, seeing Power already opening a pack of candy.
They were walking towards Aki, the (h/c) haired girl taking note of the small ashes on the concrete.
Denji and Power sat next to each other, whilst (Y/n) slid over beside Aki.
Said male saw a box placed in between the two.
"You smoke too?" He questioned.
"Nah."
'What?' Aki thought to himself.
"Then why get it?"
"For you."
"How'd you know I liked this brand?"
"Didn't, they ran out of the other ones and that was the last one left."
'Just a coincidence...'
Flashback Ends
Aki pocketed the box of cigarettes, not even removing the plastic wrap. He had finished his other pack earlier, the box was already thrown out.
"It's getting late." Denji commented, Power nodded and cracking open a can of soda.
"I think you guys should head home." (Y/n) got up.
"Leaving already?" Aki had slowly taken a small liking towards the girl.
"Yea, I have some shitty test I have to take, and two goofy beasts to take care of. Then a funeral." (Y/n) vaguely stated.
"And the ashtray?"
"Keep it, and don't think any of you guys owe me anything."
"Wanna stay contacted?" Aki asked.
"Nah, I'll probably never see you guys again."
(Y/n) : 'Well, I will, you guys won't remember it'
Denji and Power pouted, but their reasonings were both different.
I'll leave their reasonings for you guys to decide.
"Bye."
Power and Denji simultaneously waved, which made them glare at each other.
"Farewell."
Once (Y/n) was about to go around the curb, she shouted out something.
"Oh, and sorry about taking care of your mission!"
Then her figure disappeared behind a building.
☺︎
It took Aki a moment to process what she just said. He wanted to run after her, but he felt like it would be no use, that it's be fine letting her go.
Instead, he let out a silent chuckle.
"Never see us again, huh?"

Nerds in Dungeonia!
“Welcome to Dungeonia!” Jack stared at the words, the true depth of their meaning impossible to know. Before him, in a book never opened, was a list of his attributes: Strength, Dexterity, Constitution, Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma. The instructions were simple: “You will have to choose a Race, Class, and Background before you can enter.” It was Dungeons & Dragons, and the character was him. What’s more, two of his friends were along for the ride. Unable to go home, they created a party of adventurers to see what’s in store for them in this world called Dungeonia. Will Jack and his friends make it back home? Can their friendship survive under the strains of living in a dangerous realm of fantasy? Will their knowledge of D&D save them from the threats and machinations of goblins, fey, cultists, and an ancient wizard? Are they the only people from the real world trapped in Dungeonia? If everything truly functions like D&D, then who is the Dungeon Master? Some may be answered, some may forever remain mysteries in… Nerds in Dungeonia!

8 314Trailblazer
The story of a man who accidentally wrote another world into existence. Everyone breaks away from their mundane daily life in one way or another. Our protagonist, an unfortunate consequence of circumstance, being no different, often escaped the harsh reality of life by writing stories of an alternate world of swords and magic. Though he recognized the difference between reality and fantasy, he could've never imagined what would happen, when the line between the two blurred as lightning struck down from the skies, and his escapism fantasy became all too real... After he came to, he would soon learn that things in the other world aren't quite as he remembered them to be. The world he wrote of had become but a shadow of its former self. Albeit hesitant at first, he sets off on a quest to find out the secrets behind the Trails, yet even then, he can't help but wonder... Can he really bring his world back to its old glory? —————————— I have never written a story before in my life and now I'm doing so in a language I don't natively speak. Groundbreaking quality is probably not something to be expected, but I do my best to keep things readable. With the necessities out of the way, both constructive criticism and other suggestions are very much welcome, and I'll do my best to take them into account when writing future chapters.
